I’ve been going here since I was a kid, and thank God it hasn’t changed a bit, although they did add pizza(which is pretty good) to the menu. As far as the staff, they are always very nice, and helpful. If you want a traditional hoagie(NOT A SUB!!!) than this is the place. I recommend the Super Italian with extra oil. You won’t regret it!!!

Small cozy family owned style. Décor of a time long past but it has a quaint feel. Sandwiches come in two sizes: huge and your not going to be hungry for a week. Good quality meats, friendly service. Sandwiches were great. Definitely a hidden jewel on Morse road.

The interior is still a bit depressing. The collectibles on the walls and in the case are fun to look at and bring a bit of nostalgia to the place. The inside could use a bit of love though… although, I can see why people would still love the interior, it hasn’t changed in years. Now for the food. I think I chose poorly, I got a garlic steak and cheese which was kinda okay. I had more grease than garlic and to say that it «stayed with me» for a couple days would be an understatement. The boyfriend had the Italian which looked quite good and, perhaps, that is what I’ll get next time. If it hadn’t been snowing, I would’ve liked to try the ice cream. And, according to the boyfriend, the brownies are damn tasty but they were sold out by the time we got there. The lasagna is also quite good.

I’ll agree with Paul F that the inside of this place is a little depressing, but at the same time if you take some time to look through that depression you’ll find some neat nostalgia here as well. The staff is a hoot, I got the Italian fully loaded as recommended by the staff, it was good, not the best Italian style grinder I’ve ever had but certainly better than say subway. With limited options in the area it’s not a bad choice, but if there was a Jimmy Johns close-by I’d hit that instead.

The inside of this place is depressing. I don’t live too far from them and used to be a regular customer but that was something like twenty years ago. The store has seen better days. But to get to the food… Having heard that the Italian sub was the one to get, that’s what I did. And the lady waiting on me mentioned that for $ 6 and some change I could have chips and a drink with it so who was I to argue? The sub wasn’t bad but it wasn’t nearly the best that I’ve had. Maybe twenty years ago, it would have been. But today it was just so-so.

The Italian sub here IS amazing. The place has a really cool old-school mom & pops pizza shop feeling that you don’t often get in Columbus. Everyone else I’ve eaten with here has loved their sandwiches too, I would also love to try the pizza!

They’ve been in business since 1977 with only two owners the entire time. When I was growing up my friends and I would ride our bikes here for ice cream. They had the cardboard round containers of ice cream and would pile it onto the cone. The jukebox worked at the time too. We’d usually sit on the curb to eat our ice cream because the old fashioned ice cream parlor chairs had wire back rests which poked our backs. The jukebox is still there but doesn’t work. The last few years we’ve come here for Christmas Eve with the extended family. They do a lot of takeout business in the neighborhood. I think they use pizza shells instead of making the pizzas from scratch but they are cooked to order. Relatives swear the Italian is the best sub. I’ve only had the meatball sub which was fine.

We stumbled on to this place while looking for a place to eat one evening while on a one night stop over on our way to Nashville TN. My wife, two kids and I were spending the night at one of the many nearby hotels(1.5miles away) off US71. It was late evening and the kids were tired and hungry. The many franchise restaurants had long wait times, we were getting desperate. Using the GPS we decided to checkout restaurants a little further away from the hotel. I scanned the restaurants looking for a local joint and came across Yogi’s. We were just a few blocks away and did a quick drive-by, it looked OK so decided to give it a shot. We are thrilled we did. Yogi’s is family run pizza, sub joint that has a large menu with many other offerings. It is order at the counter and pickup when ready. My wife and I each ordered meatball subs and the kids both had spaghetti with meatballs and salads. We all agreed it was excellent. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly. The food was prepared and served quickly. The were several other families in the place while we were there. The kids and I topped off the meal with hot fudge sundaes! Yummy. mine was made with frozen yogurt. The photo that is listed with this listing is poor.
