Good pizza. The dough is a little on the softer, thicker side of thin crust pizzas. Location is rather mundane. Atmosphere is comfortable, though it is kind of choppy. I have had good service on my visits.

Nothing can go wrong with this place. If you want AMERICAN pizza, look no further. This is where you want to go. The first time I had it was at work and ever since I’ve been in love with this place. Our favorites are: BBQ Chicken(to die for!!) and All Meat. Their BBQ Chicken is the best BBQ chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken, the onion, the bacon, and THESAUCE are amazing. Their All Meat pizza is also a huge hit. If you’re into classic pizza, you should definitely try it. I don’t eat meat that often, but when this is in front of me, I cannot resist. GLUTEN-FREE: If you are staying away from gluten for any reason, try their gluten-free pizza. We believe it has one of the best gluten-free crust. They offer all the toppings with gluten-free crust, so your choice is unlimited. Others: You have to, HAVETO, try their wedding soup. I believe it’s served during cold season, possibly late winter-early spring. They have one of the best wedding soups. Also, try their house salad. Their vinegar dressing is refreshing and goes so well with their pizza. I love gourmet pizza with unique toppings, but when I’m in the mood for a classic American pizza, this is where I order it from.

This is one of my favorite pizza places and one of the best in town. Their pizza crust is wonderfully thin and crispy the sauce is flavorful. The Pepperoni crisps up nicely and the other toppings are always fresh I also have to have a meatball on the side as they are delicious and I get extra sauce for pizza dipping. There is also what they call fondue — cheesy garlic bread. It has plenty of cheese and garlic butter served with pizza sauce for dipping. The other best part is that any leftover pizza is great cold for breakfast the next day.

Great pizza. They have a very unique pie worth checking out. They’ve been here for decades and really know what they’re doing. It’s definitely a blast to the past and the atmosphere is dated. If you like good local pizza, give it a try!

I’ve been on the search for the best pizza in Columbus for quite some time, like my entire life. Pizza House is probably my favorite thus far. There’s nothing fancy about it, it’s just straight up good pizza. Pizza House is also only a few minutes from my house, which is a major plus, especially since they don’t deliver. My friend and I ordered some one night and I think it took me 10 minutes to get there, pick up and pay for my pizza, and get back home. Even though I live so close, I had never been in this area and almost passed it by! So it’s sort of a strange location but not really… so make sure you’re paying attention or you’ll miss it. The place was packed, which is definitely a good sign. Lots of people waiting for pickup too. They’ve been around for awhile so have quite a following. Good sauce, good crust, good amount of toppings, and the price is fair.

Having grown up nearby, Pizza House has always been my favorite pizza, subs and spaghetti in Columbus. Anytime we order from somewhere else, we judge it on how it compares to the best. I have favorites — pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms, their Italian subs, and the spaghetti dinner with one meatball, a salad with the house Italian, bread and butter — which is what I ordered yesterday when we went for lunch. It didn’t disappoint. The flavor and spices in the sauce I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. And the portions are ample — I basically split the meal in half before I even start eating and take home the other half to reheat the next day and enjoy it again. My husband discovered their gluten free crust pizza and he gets it most every time now. I have to say it is really good — though it isn’t exactly the same as their regular pizza, it is a great substitute if you are eating gf for health/dietary reasons. You still get all the same flavors of the sauce and toppings and the gf crust is crunchy and thin. The location is sort of tucked away but is often filled with regulars and folks that grew up on Pizza House. The staff is very friendly. You can often see the owner come out of the kitchen to greet guests, still wearing his apron from making the pizzas. A real family place. There is a separate entrance for carry out as they seem to do a steady business there also.

Pizza House is classic small-town pizza. With so many choices around town, we hit PH only a few times a year. There are two entrances to Pizza House, one for dining room service and another a bit south for carryout orders. No delivery and no patio — but the staff is friendly and the dining room is often packed with people. They do serve alcohol. PH has a variety of appetizers on their menu, and I’m partial to their garlic bread. They also have a version of caprese salad that uses oregano rather than basil, which is tasty. For dinner, almost everything Italian is possible here, and they’ve even slipped in a few other cuisines to offer things like fish and chips. Tons of subs and other sandwiches, too. Okay, but let’s be real: the reason to come to Pizza House is for the traditional thin-crust, topping-heavy pies they serve(they also have a thicker-crust option, but why tempt fate). Slightly sweet sauce, a good amount of cheese, and toppings piled high, right to the edge — if that sounds like your thing, Pizza House is for you. We typically order the all-the-way, which is traditional pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, green pepper and onion. They have white pizzas and plenty of other combinations and specialty pies, and meatballs as a pizza topping(yum). You’ll not go wrong with a Pizza House pizza.

I stayed away from this long established pizza place for a while and now regret it. I forgot just how great their pizzas are. It has limited seating and the bar area is not very comfy. So choose the right time to go and you’ll do fine. The service is excellent I love their sausages and crust the toppings are heaped on and the cheese is so thick! When Pasquale’s in Westerville did their ill-fated move they lost me as a regular now Pizza House is my mainstay.

«Matty’s Big 10 Pizzas of Columbus»: I am a bit of a fanatic when it comes to the old school pizza joints here in the capital city. The franchise chains and sell-outs(Donato’s and Rotolo’s) have nothing on the original family-owned and run pizza parlors that serve up our uniquely Ohio take on a true pie; thin crust, toppings to the edge, and the square«city» cut. That being said, there are very few of these classic establishments left, and even fewer that I haven’t tried at least once. My quest this summer is tough work; to hit as many as possible and rate the very best. The Pizza House, just off Sinclair, is never disappointing and has and has easily earned a spot in my «Big 10» with a pizza shop that offers the best of both worlds. The Pizza House has a full dinner menu and a large comfortable dining room for the full-service restaurant patron, families, and groups. However, there is a separate entrance for carry-out service to make in and out fast and simple. The pizza is straight up delicious. Flawless, really. I highly recommend trying toppings like meatballs on your next pie! Established way back in 1961, no «Best-of» list would be complete without this legend near the top of the heap.

This place is awesome, the pizza is perfectly cooked every time. The ingredients are fresh, and the sauce imo is THEBEST. Layers and layers of fresh homemade taste. I never get sides from other pizza places because they always taste generic. However, the sides here(jalapeño poppers I am talking to you) are so good. Do yourself a favor and try it… thanks Pizza House!

I used to live a few blocks away from Pizza House. Probably once a week, my brothers and I would get pepperoni and meatball on a large pizza. This combination is out of this world. I don’t stop in to eat here much, probably only once a year, but the place is kept clean and the servers are nice. Food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. I have never gotten anything other than the pizza, but it’s been such a delight for 10 years that I’m not sure I want to sample anything else. Keep doing you, Pizza House.

Stopped here on a Friday night when they were really packed. We had a great waiter that was frequently checking on us. Boyfriend and I shared a pizza and a sub that were loaded with toppings. They were fresh, hot, and good. BF was in heaven eating one of their meatballs. Cold beer and pizza… what else is there?

YUM! Tried the Pizza House after seeing all the great reviews and I was not disappointed! We ordered a large pizza with veggies and something fried. I don’t remember now but I know I was happy with everything! The pizza, which was huge, was completely gone within 20 minutes. I just couldn’t stop eating it! So delicious and baked to perfection. We ordered take out, but the place seemed fun. Definely a little dated, but thats what gives these places charm! I’ll be back for sure.

Been coming here since the mid 1960s when they started at another location around the corner. Love their pepperoni pizzas! Definitely come here every time I visit Columbus! But this time they made me believe that they lost the order and then when I got home the Italian salad had a huge hunk of iceberg lettuce. How lazy! Did they just buy it in a bag and just pour it in? Their only competition my opinion is Bono’s Togo but it changed hands and I am not sure how good they are now…

I guess I don’t get it. I know. Everybody loves Pizza House. It wouldn’t be fair for me to base my review on the opinions of others though. My wife and I dined in and decided to try a bit of everything. Aside from the 80s décor, the restaurant was clean. The oversized, overstuffed booth in which we were seated reminded me of a scene from a bad movie. But, more importantly, onto the food. We ordered a pizza(pepperoni), and a variety of appetizers and a salad. The appetizers all appeared to be of the cheap wholesale variety and the predominant taste was grease. The pizza was primarily thick dough, flavored with grease, covered in copious amounts of bland sauce and«cheese». The problem wasn’t a style issue. I can go for a thick chewy crust and lots of melty cheese. There was a fundamental lack of flavor. Everything was so incredibly greasy that any flavors that may have existed never stood a chance of actually contacting my tongue. I honestly don’t remember if the service was good or not, so I won’t ding them on that. We ordered a lot of food, expecting to take home a ton of leftovers. But, we ended up leaving it all there. Sorry Pizza House. Your food isn’t for me.

I love this old time pizza place! I loved them in their original house and I love them in their new facilities. Our usual order is a large pizza with various toppings and it always delivers with fresh toppings and a yummy pizza sauce with a slightly sweet tomato flavor. We gladly drive the twenty minutes to pick one up and we also get the anti-pasta salad which we put the yummy house made Italian dressing on. We love this place!

As a pizza lover, I am sad to say I just do not taste what others are buzzing is about. So having learned that I find it flavorless with that layer-of-congealed-cheese-thing going on that I personally can’t stand, I wasn’t thrilled to be invited to dine here with family and in laws who adore the pizza. But have no fear, the menu offers numerous selections from supe and salad to pasta. The Traditional(Italian) sub was satisfying and I truly appreciated how their crispy bread stood up to the toppings. While the 80s interior is somewhat unwelcoming, our server made up for the chilly décor with her warm personality. Overall, Pizza House is a great place for a get together.

When you go wheat-free or gluten-free, you pretty much have your head to the ground – desperately listening for grumblings of great GF places in the city. And that’s how I heard about Pizza House. It’s in an odd location where I don’t go often – corner of 71N and Morse Road. The building is totally unassuming, and there isn’t much character or charm… but there *is* delicious pizza! The inside looks like an old-school 80s pizzeria, and that’s A-okay with me. The staff is also really friendly and helpful. Our server was also GF, and she made great recommendations. She told me how invested the owner was in finding delicious GF alternatives, and that made my heart sing to know somebody was lookin’ out for people like me. I got the BBQ chicken pizza – and subbed pineapples for onions. This was my genius server’s idea. My friends ordered a white pizza on the traditional crust. I loved my pizza, and my friends loved theirs too. But want to know a secret? My friends loved my GF pizza more than theirs! So if you’re looking for some delicious pizza – GF or not – come to Pizza House.

So I’m going to go against the grain I guess and give a not so awesome review. Went here for the first time last weekend with my BF and a huge group of people he knew. I was not impressed at all. Maybe it’s my own issue that I decided to get pasta at a place called Pizza House… but usually pasta is good at good pizza places. I had the tortellini with meatballs. The tortellini tasted like it was out of package from your supermarket’s freezer, and the sauce was from a jar. Not even a jar of Ragu — like the value brand stuff. Pretty tasteless. The BF got pepperoni and meatball pizza, which he said was«OK.» I tasted some of the meatball off it, and it was pretty bland. Not sure if we just went on an off night or something, because everyone else here seems to strangely love this place. One positive I will say is that the service was good. We had a HUGE group across multiple tables and our waitress was very gracious. This almost makes me want to give them 3 stars instead of 2… almost.
