Been ordering from here for 10 years. Love Grandad’s. It’s like old Donato’s, before they changed the crust, at a lower price. The Antipasto salad is huge and very good.

Wow, really impressed for a small like unknown pizza shop on Morse rd. For the area, you’d kind of expect less. I grew up on the north side. However, I’ve never even heard of this pizza place until I saw an ad from the bags they hang on the door. If it weren’t for that, I would never have known it existed. By the looks of the ad and coupons they sent out stating they have now expanded the delivery area, well. Smart move! So the sauce is on the sweeter side, and the pizza is a little old fashioned. But soooo good. And also normally I don’t like garlic cheese bread that just got thrown onto a toasted sub bun. But, not bad! Seemed busy when I called to place my order, the guy who took the order was not in any rush, and was nice and helpful. Delivery was on time, if not a bit sooner than the estimate. Delivery guy was nice, didn’t seem in a bad mood or hating his job like most delivery drivers! The actual food was still hot. And appearance wise, definitely did not look or taste like it was rushed or over or under cooked like the local donatos near by half the time. Will definitely recommend and let everyone else know as well, after all that’s how you get more business. Days like today! Thanks guys, great job! UPDATE: Unfortunately good things don’t last. The next time I ordered, the pizza was a little cold and was stuck to the box and unfortunately tasted like… box! I did not call and complain, but perhaps it’s best to order pizza from them during their non busy hours. I suggest putting a liner under the pizza. If I want to eat a pizza that tastes like box, I will just order Pizza Hut.

I got the same treatment as Karla B., but I’ll go into a little more detail. I live 0.6 miles from this place. I got a cold pizza. I called, was put through to the manager who sounded bored at the conversation, and said I wasn’t necessarily asking for anything, but that maybe they could take a look at their process so a 1 minuted drive didn’t result in a cold pizza again. I was asked how much had been eaten of the large pizza, I said about half, and he said it could be «swapped out» for a medium. I was kind of stunned, agreed, and hung up. My wife and I started talking about it as our hungry kids continued to eat their pizza. Surely they’re not really going to pick up the first pizza as a requirement(and then throw it in the trash…). Sure enough, a disgruntled looking asswipe showed up at my door, thrust a receipt(for what, I’m still not sure) out at me. «I was told there was a problem with your pizza» in a slightly sneering voice. I said yeah and explained it was just delivered cold. «And you have half a pizza for me?» I said, «Wow, really?» «Didn’t anyone mention that to you?» «Yeah, but I didn’t think it was serious». I gave him the box with the ¼ pizza left in it and he wordlessly stormed off with a shitty look on his face I slammed the door. The whole experience pissed me off so much. I’ve been a customer of theirs for 14 years. If they have a problem with people repeatedly ripping them off, they should have notes on those customers in the system. Otherwise, they should be all apologies and how-can-I-make-it-up-to-you, not«prove it MF, and you only get as much replacement hot pizza without a soggy crust as your hungry children haven’t devoured yet.» It’s too bad, because I really like their pizza, but I hate them now. Not another dime from me, idiots. If the owner is reading this, you need to have a word with your management and/or change your policies. Or just fail, I don’t give a shit anymore.

If Steve is the owner his customer service is poor. I received a cold pizza and I complained. He told me if he couldn’t come out to my house and pick up the pizza at 11:40pm then I could no longer do business with him. Wow! I wonder if Steve is used to people asking for things for free? I didn’t want a free pizza… Maybe a $ 5 credit or something. No Steve wanted to treat me as if I was a scammer. Steve only 5% of customers are scammers and I am not in that 5%. They offer great customer classes at the local university and someone can teach how to satisfy a customer without being rude.

Given the star rating i am unable to give even a single star to this poorly run pizza establishment. I have been on this earth 40yrs and have never been so disrespected as a consumer/customer as by this particular establishment on Morse rd in columbus ohio. My pizza was cold and not to pur order. I called to explain and was treated in such a manor that i wouldnt pee on them if they were on fire. I was shocked at the way i was treated by someone claiming to be the owner. I would hope that an owner of a business would not treat customers as such. My pizza was terrible. I was cussed at and will never grace their establishment again. No respect for women or customer service. Unilocal would not allow zero stars.

I really liked the Hawaiian Pizza I just received. The toppings were plentiful & the pizza was beautiful. I am really impressed with how much great flavor it had. They used larger slices of almonds than most other pizza places. The almonds were toasted perfectly & provided the best crunch. There was a lot of ham & so many pineapple pieces that they spilled over when picking up a slice. I think I liked this more than my all time favorite Donatos Hawaiian Pizza. It had more toppings & not as dry. I also really appreciate the fact that the driver paid attention to my request of calling me when he arrived & not ringing the doorbell(something most delivery services ignore). I guess I didn’t expect the most optimal pizza experience for ordering so late at night. It was great! I will definitely be ordering from Grandad’s Pizza again & tell my friends.

After completely bagging on Grandma last week, I felt obligated to try and mend some fences by visiting good olé Grandad. Grandad’s on Morse is strictly carry-out, but you will find a steady stream of people coming in to enjoy the friendly service and the fantastic prices. Grandad serves up a traditional Ohio pie, square cut with edge to edge toppings. The crust is thin, but not crackeresque. The toppings sitting aboard this crispy crust were all decent, but nothing spectacular. The shrooms were a bit rubbery(canned, I suspect). Grandad’s sauce is slightly sweet and tart. I was hoping the sweet/tart first note would be followed by a robust herby finish, but no dice. All in all, Grandad is a solid specimen of an Ohio pie. Definitely worth a try and A-OK.

I almost skipped this place due to a very long winded one star review that I shouldn’t have read and found to be completely inaccurate in every respect. Grandad’s Pizza has either changed their processes completely or the user wasn’t writing a review for the same place I got my pizza from. Toppings under the cheese? Nope, all on top(admittedly, I prefer my pizza with toppings under a pile of melty cheese because that’s the kind of pizza I grew up with). Square pizza? Uh-Uh, unless everything I learned in preschool was a lie. And no, this isn’t New York style pizza, this isn’t Chicago style pizza. This is Ohio. And Grandad’s is right there on the spectrum of every other Rust Belt carry-out pizza. The crust was a nice combination of soft on top and crispy like a saltine cracker on the bottom. The sauce was bog standard pizza sauce, toppings were plentiful, and the cheese was a little skimpy though hardly anything to complain about. The staff here were very friendly and courteous and I was told on the phone my pizza would be ready in 15 minutes. It was. It’s not the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life, but you can do a lot worse in this town. This place is perfect if you are in the area or live close by. I will most definitely eat here again.

As per our bad experiences at Katie’s Pizza, we decided to drive to the Grandad’s location. We use to go here years ago until we found out Katie’s was closer, however, we will not be visiting Katie’s Pizza for a very long time. The 50 minute adventure(here and back) is completely worth it. Once we got our pizza, we wish we could ave started coming to Grandad’s sooner. Grandad’s Pizza definitely has more cheese and more sauce on it, and is even cooked better. The crust has more of a fresher taste and is crunchier. Grandad’s offers better customer service. Upon going in, we were greeted with friendly staff! The order was made correctly, and when we called to use a $ 2.00 off coupon, they went ahead and gave us a coupon more geared to save us money on what we ordered. On the way out, the delivery driver held the door open and told us to have a good night! This level of service would not have happened at Katie’s Pizza. Also, Courtney seems to be from out of town and must be judgemental about Ohio-style pizza. The sauce isn’t sweet. My toppings were above the cheese, she must have gotten extra cheese. I ate this pizza three times this week(I’m bad, I know), and I have not gotten sick. I’ve never gotten sick from here.

This is old school, corner house with an oven Rust belt/Appalachian pizza. Not Chicago style, not New York style, Rust belt/Appalachian style pizza. This is a thing, and this is a really good version of it. Grandad’s Pizza is not the best thing I ever ate, but it is truly a guilty pleasure. My first choice to order Pizza is Grandad’s. Love it.

Grandads is in the Milano Center on Morse Road, near the intersection of Karl Road. I ordered a regular sub with hot sausage. The latter addition cost me an extra $ 1 and was almost too much. The regular sub came with salami, ham, cheese, and LT&O. The sausage was much more than I was expecting. It was so thick, it dwarfed the other meats. Made for a good, if not to big sandwich. I live close enough to them to drive over but if I ever feel lazy, they offer delivery for $ 2 plus a tip for the driver. And besides the subs, they also have pizza, and pop. I can see myself coming back here for another sub real soon.

I’ve never had the pizza before and just tried to make my first attempt. I was then discouraged by the inappropriate, immature, unhelpful guy that answered the phone. I understand its a pizza place but come on you have to do better then that. I am not sure when or if I will ever try the pizza now.

Ill start by saying that this was!!! THEWORSTEXCUSEFORPIZZAMANHASEVERCOMEUPWITH!!! This isnt pizza! Poor Columbus! Has pizza really failed you this badly that paying customers will gladly give this horrible place money for mazta crust and spaghetti sauce??? Have you ever had real pizza??? Like from NY? Im sure if you have then you wouldnt be assulting your taste bud with this crap! We were at the hotel and they had a sign for Grandad’s Pizza. we were knew to the area and very hungry. We ordered and after they were 20mins late in delivering we opened the box to find a square thin crust pile of crap. The bread isnt eveb bread. its more like a cracker. The sauce was sweet. like they dumped in a tub of sugar. The topping were underneath the cheese… the cheese which tasted more like granulated mushy… what’s a better word for crap??? …not cheese by any meaning of the word. I was crying after one bite. With laughter? Hunger? Pure hatred of the owner? All of the above. I never NEVER have not finished my dinner before. It goes against my foodie nature and it goes against my husband pained wallet. I couldnt get myself to eat this. I was sick within 15 min after eating 2 slices of this sorry excuse for food, let alone pizza.

One of my favorite local pizza places. Story has it that the owner used to work for Donato’s, but quit to make his own pizza place. Grandma’s and Classic Pizza I believe has or had ties to Granada’s at one point. Now the pizza, we’ve been ordering from them off and on since 1999, it’s pretty awesome. Not as much as Donato’s, but the same quality. Their onion pizza is to die for! If you like onions, I highly recommend it. Their garlic bread with cheese and salads are awesomely flavorful. You get coupons from them so be sure to use them on your visit. There is no dining area, so it’s either pick up or delivery. The latter being if you are in the delivery area.

Just got off the phone from trying to order a pizza, guy was seriously unhelpful. I asked about specials, to be told there were none. I asked if i could use a coupon from their website, and was told the website coupons were only good at their grandview location.(who refuses to take a coupon for another store? I’ve worked a few pizza joints, i’ve never seen that happen.) He didn’t seem at all interested in my business, so i took it to antolino’s down the street instead. Too bad, we’ve had good pizza here before, but i doubt i’ll bother ordering from them again.

If you’re looking for a less-expensive alternative to Donato’s, Grandad’s is it. It has the same thin, soft crust and sweetish sauce as Donato’s, but a lot cheaper, and better-tasting to boot… plus they’re very generous with toppings, seemingly applying veggies by the handful. I’m not kidding, there must be the equivalent of a whole jar of green olives on my pizza. Grandad’s is one of those hole-in-the-wall places you’d probably never go without a recommendation, with a liquor store next door and unsavory types sometimes hanging around. There’s no dining room, just a tiny lobby that’s always 90 degrees. Get your pie delivered if that doesn’t sound good to you, because like many restaurants whose exteriors look scary, the food is great. This is my go-to pizza place in Columbus. EDIT: Believe it or not, I did NOT read Nbdy U’s review before writing this… apparently we think alike, even using some of the same words… weird.
