Thorn Productions

This production literally changed my life! Back in 2006, before ministry was even a thought. I was in the military and still struggling with intense depression following almost dying in the Pentagon attack on September 11, 2001. My wife took me to an evening showing of The Thorn. I didn’t know then just how vital this production would be to my recovery. Two-​years later I joined the cast and crew and have been serving with them ever since.
The biggest question I alway get is, «What is The Thorn?» In short, The Thorn is a multi-​sensory live event that retells the story of the Bible with drama, dance, martial arts, video and aerial effects. Most people who have seen the performance describe it as Cirque meets The Bible. This event, seen by more than 1-​Million people, has been hosted by some of the largest and fastest growing churches in America.
I always say, if you ever want to witness God’s grace and love first hand. Come see a performance of The Thorn. It is truly a life-​changing experience for the whole family.

A very good friend took me and my husband to see The Thorn. The best way for me to describe this show is: a churchy cirque du soleil meet jesus christ superstar sort-​of-​a-​show. A musical play, about the passion of the christ, this show features brightly colored costumes, acrobats on trapeze and ribbons, live singing, choreographed dancing and much, much more. I had been told that it was very entertaining, colorful and un-​traditional but it was more than that for sure. I am so glad my friend took us!
This event started right here in Colorado Springs many moons ago, at New Life Church (where it is performed every year right before Easter) but during the years it has become a full fledged Broadway-​type production that travels to many places in the country.
