Never write a review when you are angry at a company. A week has passed and I’m still peeved. Champion’s windows are good, though the quality from one frame to another seems to vary. I shopped around and was tied with Champion and Pella. I wish I had gone with Pella. The sales person was very helpful and explained a lot about windows, framing, and the like. He was informative and did not apply any unnecessary sales pressure. I wish I had known more about things such as the difference between re-framing versus just hanging new frames inside of existing frames. I would have made some different decisions. The sales person thought the order would take from 5 to 7 weeks. But, they finally completed the installation 2.5 months after the initial signing. My biggest complaint was the that installation took almost 3 weeks to complete. The installers got 80% of the way through the installation, and then 3 installation crews later, they finally finished the installation. I was very disappointed that I was the one that had to initiate all communications in order to get status on things. At one point, I had to talk to the regional director of Champion. I had asked explicitly that the put in the gel foam in between the old window frames and the new frames. After the installation was completed, no gel foam. So, now there are gaps between the old frames and the new. The Champion staff did seemed to appreciate that this was an important issue to me since it was something I had explicitly asked them to do. I would not advise avoiding Champion all together, but I would recommend learning everything you can about their windows and your framing options. Sometimes reframing is more expensive than just putting a new window inside an existing frame, but it is better to pay the extra money for some of your windows on your house. You should go over EVERY window with your Champion sales person and specifically document what you are expecting in terms of a window, the frame, and the trim. Make sure those things are included in your contract. And, as your installation starts, keep an eye on everything that they do to ensure that they are installing your windows the way you want.

Dear consumer. If you are looking to get a sun room. Do yourself a favor and don’t hire Champion. They will lie to you and keep feeding you bull sh… t until they finally get the job done. I ordered a sun room back in June. They told me that they would start in ten weeks. It is now October and my sun room is still incomplete. Please do some research before you hire this company.

I had Champion build a three season sun room attached to my house. I have had problems with the quality of the work from every angle: electrician installed the wrong color of wire channels, concrete slab should have had a poured step but didn’t, two efforts to build a wooden step failed so I will build it myself, water seeps under the walls when we get a heavy rain, one screen door and one window screen had to be replaced due to being warped, the installers did not clean the metal shavings from the tracks so all windows and screen screeched and dragged, effort to fix water seepage failed, work delayed and slow, ceiling fan was installed in the wrong place(didn’t ask where I wanted it) and had to be moved leaving holes in the ceiling, security light left loose and hanging(I had to remove it and reinstall), rough and untreated boards installed as wood trim on interior and exterior will rot and crack(i will treat it myself)…and they are not done yet.

Their windows are great. Good quality, and they do a great job of cutting down on noise and lowering your utility bill. However, their installers are just terrible. We had five windows replaced in our home, and several of them were installed crooked. We had them put the aluminum siding along the outside; where the installers cut something too short or at an odd angle, they just filled it in with a huge lump of caulking(which of course shrinks when it dries and it looked terrible). They had to come out three more times to fix all the mistakes, I had to speak with the install manager, store director, and regional manager several times to have them fix everything, and even file a complaint with the BBB to get everything fixed. I would get their windows again, but would install them myself or have a local handyman do it for me.

HIGH Pressure and rude was our guy. Have used the windows in the past and liked them but won’t pay for rudeness.
