Smashburger

Was very very very disappointed & disgusted with my supper this evening… Made the mistake of asking for NO «special sauce», NO ketchup, pickles… ONLY wanted mustard, lettuce tomatoes, onion.
Burger had so much mustard it was running out of the wrapper, had 1 wilted small leaf of lettuce, tomato was barely visible (very, very thin & small diameter), and I am still looking for the non-​existent onion.
For this I paid 7bucks. Last time I was here (about a year ago), I had one of the most pitiful milkshakes I have ever had. Thought things might have improved with their quality, but evidently I was wrong.
Save your money. Very disappointed in one of our neighborhood businesses, expected good food and got junk.

It was the most disgusting burger I’ve ever attempted to eat. It was so salty that I couldn’t even eat more than a few bites of it.

wow okay so I feel bad posting this but I’m going to anyway. normally i love smashburger, I tell all my friends and coworkers about it and even though I get mocked for paying $ 8 for one burger I still stand by this business. until a couple of days ago :(
Having gone to the different locations since they opened in the springs I have watched as they went from super busy to respectable flow throughout the day as many businesses often do. so going in a Saturday, for the first time in months and months it was very busy. and by very busy I mean there were two couples ahead of me and maybe four groups seated. that being said I ordered my usual custom burger with smash fries and a caramel shake. now in a place like service is usually minimal and rightly so for a so called ‘fast (food) casual’ place. But after waiting double the time I normally do for my food the young lady who took my order comes almost running to my table with my burger. it definitely is missing some ingredients asked for as well as the magic I have come to associate with smashburger. however as she leaves I ask her if I should have went to the counter for the shake (in mind I think that should have come before the meal itself) she tells me the shake machine is working slow that day but she will get on it. what? i saw her and another guy at the register, the line is empty and theyre just chatting away. and even if they still had a line, if you dont need two people on registers then the one standing around should be doing something. well okay whatever I guess, so I decide to wait for my drink. 13 minutes (!) later my burger and fries are nothing resembling warm and having enough I decide to just wait up front for my shake. as if I was being a pain, the young lady stops talking and very quickly tries one measly caramel shake done. I then get a dirty look as she hands it to me. to top it off this same lady, in the middle of cleaning a table sees a friend eating and decides to sit down and have another discussion. are you kidding me? for shame smashburger :(

I went in a few weeks ago with a friend after working out and the staff couldnt be more helpful. It was close to closing time yet the girl behind the counter greeted me with a warm welcome. Food was amazing as always and the employees checked on us to make sure we enjoyed our food. Great customer service!

Been eating at «Smash» since their 1^st one in CO Springs. I was the partner of the 2 goofs that were running the Springs Burger Blog for a little while (free time @ lunch away from work).
You could once get the meat cooked to order. I loved that. That’s gone.
Still it’s a juicy burger. Their house fries are yum but I am ALL about the burger.
The basic is fine as I don’t need to dilute the burger flavor. I want the beef flavor and the fat taste is fine by me (and you but you might now know it yet).
I like their cooking process and their meat is good quality. My buddy (cya– moved to NM) have tried a ton of places. Even places like Walter’s Bistro (Wagyu, whatever– I still love u Walter, MacKenzie’s (quite good!), and so forth). I am telling you if you like a real beef burger that keeps it’s flavor, and well the staff here at Austin is quite nice from my experience.
No they are not MacD’s cheap but well worth it. My wife loves the shakes. I stick to the burger, a beer, and possibly fries. This one does not take tips I don’t believe. I’ve not seen a jar and there’s not tip line on the CC bill. I don’t have an issue with tipping even at this type of place as they do bring the food to you and they are very friendly. I guess you could leave a tip on the table but it’s really not conducive to it.
I’ve only had one dry burger and that was their Powers location a long time ago when I could not stop going there.
To me it’s all about the quality and juiciness of the beef. Juicy is so key to me. Yes that is some fat but don’t come here if you are going to get a physical tomorrow, k?
Come, enjoy a burger, perhaps a beer, and importantly– it’s been CLEAN every time I’ve been there.
Kudos to this CO based chain. I wish them luck and stick to your process with burgers and heck those yummy fries.
Sorry, Five Guy’s fans .They’ve got nothing but good fresh fries IMHO.

I visited the Smashburger on Austin Bluffs and I was a Smash virgin. Well I was incredibly amazed firstly at the cleanliness of the restaurant, secondly the staff was awesome and let me take my time ordering. I ordered the original with everything and I have to say it was spectacular!!! I went back the next day and it was as good as the first time. I would recommend Smashburger to any true burger lover in the land. It truly was and is a great burger joint!

It’s all right but I won’t be rushing back. I had the «original» and honestly Culver’s burgers have more flavor. You can’t order beer at Culver’s, though. For the price it was good, but not great. Service was outstanding.

Food was amazing. Service was amazing. Staff were amazing. Even the bathroom was amazing.
So now Smashburger’s onion rings are my favorite. I had never seen them before and they were fab. The burger was so good and the fries were amazing too. I should try the rosemary fries next time… But everything was AMAZING.

The food was delicious, the service was fast, and the restaurant was clean. I would recommend the Colorado Burger! I didn’t care for the smash fries, but that’s because it wasn’t my flavor, not because it was soggy or anything like that.

Smashburger quality of beef is awesome! The sides; sweet potato fries, haystack onion rings and the seasoned fries are stellar. Top it all off with the Vanilla Malt — OMG!!!
And, the service is outstanding from the counter staff to the clean-​up everyone is on par and friendly.

My wife and I went to smash burger for my 50^th birthday. Food was great especially the rosemary fries. They honored me with a free mint Oreo shake and were very generous and kind. The chicken classic is our favorite in this location is perfectly clean and well located

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Service with our cashier was so kind and helpful. They ran out of chocolate milk and she quickly ran to the back to grab more for my kids. Food tasted delicious. Manager Russ Wright came around and noticed my daughter (she held the door for him open because he had a handful of groceries as we were entering the building) and told her THANKYOU and offered a free shake for both my kids. It was a great experience! Definitely recommend this place!

Really fresh and tasty food. Love their sweet potato fries! I think less than $ 6 for my burger-​fresh, good quality – is a deal. I had Swiss and mushroom (also fresh) with Truffle aioli – all included. My husband and I LOVED it. I was able to add grilled onion and tomato for no charge. Hubby is picky about burgers and said he’d definitely return – which says a lot considering there is a ton of good competitors around here.
We also shared their Cobb salad – also under $ 6 – fried egg on top is a nice change!
Their online ordering is intuitive and simple. If they delivered I’d be in trouble! Both times the order was ready when it should have been (they work in quarter hour increments).
Previously, I had the burger with spinach, goat cheese and cucumbers. It was SO juicy and tasty! It comes in salad firm too.
The staff, on both visits, were very friendly. Store was also spacious and clean.

A slight upgrade from a McDonald’s cheeseburger. If you’re a fan, then you’ll probably love it.

Yea coke products. A bit difficult to find in this center. Had a chicken sandwich, disappointed with flavor and taste of the smashed breast. Service was outstanding so might come try a burger.

My first review was three stars. I was contacted by management to give this place a second try so I did today. I respect a business that reaches out to customers because they care about their Unilocal reputation. I ordered bbq bacon cheddar smash, smash fries & dr pepper. My total was about $ 10. The food came out in good time delivered to my table with a smile. I’m from CA and this place is a hit in San Diego. The fries and burger were tasty but a lil greasy. The bacon was a bit chewy instead of crispy which is a big no no. Bottom line is I appreciate the effort, I really do, but I cant give a place over three stars if I’m not impressed, wouldn’t come back or bring people here. It just doesn’t hit the mark like San Diego does and out here I prefer Five Guys, Red Robbin, Drifters.

Best burger I have ever had. Let me put it this way… I am known in my group of friends as the burger guy. My friend Joe always laughs that no matter where we go, I’ll end up ordering the same thing– a burger. So to say that I love burgers is an understatement. With that being said, when I say this is the best burger ever, it is the BEST burger ever. The fries were awesome too. The service was fast. The place was surprisingly cheap. Bathrooms were clean. There was nothing to complain about here. I loved everything.

Was excited to try their veggie burger (Five Guys near me doesn’t have one). Was honestly the strangest veggie burger I’ve ever had! Nothing like a Gardenburger, which looks pretty much like a regular hamburger. This was more like plain black bean paste. I got it to go and by the time I got home it was completely cold — didn’t look like it had been placed on the grill at all. I threw most of it away. I did really like the chipotle mayo and chipotle bun it came with tho — actually very spicy, which I like. Next time I will try a regular hamburger, or maybe a chicken sandwich. Inside, the place is quite roomy and clean. $ 8.50 for the veggie burger and small drink. It’s near the TCBY yogurt place and the Jack’s hamburger place.

Food was really good. Glad to have another location open! Service was a little slow, but it is also fresh, I’ll wait the couple extra minutes for fresh! It’s close to work, so I will be back!

I had a wonderful early lunch yesterday and terrific friendly service!
Instead of the standard burger, we ordered the vegetarian burger meal.
Delicious…
We’ll definitely go back.
