My husband absolutely loves this place. If he was writing a review, he would try to give the SH6 stars! The customer service here is excellent. They seem to really love their jobs and business. The owner makes suggestions on every order and really cares about your eating pleasure. I built my own burger with avocado, bacon, carm onions, ched cheese, pickles, hamburger patty and a sesame bun. My husband got the Hangover but with pepper jack and american cheese. He can’t stop talking about his burger. Every day he asks if we can go to SH again. My burger was good. I would order different toppings though on my next visit so that was my fault I guess. Those are the items I like though! I really like the sweet potato fries with curry ketchup. The Boylan sodas are also very refreshing. I just felt really cramped when eating inside. I had to use my arms like a raptor because there was no space to move around. I also felt super greasy for the rest of the day. I will definitely be back though and feel more educated on what to order.

Best burger in town, hands down. Their selection is top notch and the changing special is always good. The soda’s(especially the cream one) are worth stopping for. The only downside is the seating, it is by far too small and often times so crowded that it makes us not stop in, during the colder months. While there are times I will sit outside when it is chilly, the four kiddos would not enjoy that. There is a park across the street with some seating, but again, that is no fun when it’s cold out.

Very yummy! Had the Pueblo Farmer with Pueblo chilies and guac! Most excellent! It was super juicy and had great flavor. Also really dug the pure cane sugar soda they have. Tasty! Will most definitely go again. TIP: BRINGURAPPETITE! You’ll need it! ;)

Not only did they get my order wrong. But they were rude to my young daughter when she tried to explain to them the order was wrong. She ended up in tears. There is no place to sit, the staff are rude. And honestly the food is not worth any of that. I will never go there again. It was a waste of money and a really bad experience.

If you want a REAL cheeseburger this is the spot, end of story. Then there’s the fries which I can not stop eating even when I’m stuffed to the brim. This is the best burger joint in Colorado Springs without a doubt.

Decided to check out Heifer after seeing it on DD&D, we will be sticking to Bingo Burger down the block or The Dive in OCC for our burger outings. My boyfriend ordered me a Skirted Hangover to go. It was missing cheese and the Bloody Mary ketchup, the burger was also extremely well done and dry, it hardly justified the $ 10 price. My boyfriend was unimpressed with his B&B burger as it was over done too, his fries were also extremely soggy. They also forgot to include the ranch and Bloody Mary ketchup that he requested for the fries. All in all very disappointing, for $ 34 we could’ve gotten better quality food for less somewhere else.

Best burger in town for sure. Belgian fries beat the sweet potato fries in this instance. Definitely get the classic skirted burger if it is your first time. Only downside is that they don’t have beer on tap.

Now, this is a good burger! Like all the choices, but for me, next time I’ll choose the sesame seed bun vs the garlic foccacia(a little too garlicky for me). Love all the topping options too, which makes for endless DDD burger goodness. However, a couple of things kept me from giving the 5th star… I did not like the fries(Belgian or sweet potato) or the homemade ketchup. The fries were very(sea salt) salty, Belgian cut too thin and sweet potato too thick. I realize I could ask for no salt, but still don’t think I’ll like their style(just a preference). And, the ketchup… I’ve had organic ketchup at other restaurants and don’t like it there either — it’s always a little grainy and the taste is off — just not my cuppa tea. However, if you’re into sugar, check out the cane sugar drinks — the root beer is the real deal and, if you were lucky enough to know A&W root beer back in the 70’s… it tastes exactly the same! I personally stick with un-sweetened ice tea to keep the carbs down, but my friend had a glass, I got a sip, and OMG could not believe how good it was — it’s the real deal — the days before they developed artificial sugar!!! And, just to note, as others have, this place is extra SMALL; not a lot of seating, so just be careful when you attempt to visit. We were there on a Monday around 5PM and got a table, but we were just slightly ahead of the rush that followed behind us. They do have a few tables outdoors, but it’s winter, so that was not an option for now. Good location on Tejon and highly recommend you check them out. And, I don’t consider them $ in price; I think $$ is a bit better… two burgers, one order of fries, two drinks were $ 25. But, the price would not keep me away. Next time I drop in, it will be for one of their HUGE burgers and I’ll also know to wrap the paper that comes in it’s basket around the thing before attempting to eat it! :)

We had to visit after seeing this great little spot on Diners Drive ins and Dives on Food Network the past week! Visited for a late dinner, an hour prior to closing(9pm) with a group of 6 people. I loved the atmosphere, cozy and full of CO love! I ordered the Original Skirted Heifer and sweet potato fires. Everything was delicious — you can really taste the difference in the grass fed beef. We all loved our food — would make the trip to this great little burger joint!

This is my second favorite burger joint in Colorado Springs, only Bingo Burger beats it in my mind, and that is by a slim margin. The good thing for me is I feel there is enough of a difference in style that I will easily be a return customer, despite bingo burger just being a few stores down. I had the Hangover, so no skirt, but it was good. Fries were great, and I am not a fries person. My burger was a perfect size of deliciousness. While I did not get a skirt, I did get to try one as a coworker cut me off a piece of his, and this was great. The Classic Skirted Heifer will be my next burger there. One of our group did have a root beer float and she was in love with the frozen custard they used in it. I highly recommend this place and I will be going back myself.

It’s my new favorite burger. It’s good. I got the B&B because I’m a sucker for bleu cheese. I would do it again, although I think it’s ask for sesame bun rather than the foccacia. But that is a very minor issue of mine. My group and I spent our entire meal planning our next burger and what toppings we would choose. In addition, the Belgian fries were spot on. Just the tip: it’s a small place. Seating wasn’t a problem for us, but I can see where it could get to be a problem.

Awesome place! Burger did not disappoint. Seating is limited… other rude customers that took a table with a takeout order left a bad taste, but we didn’t let that get us down

I’m not a vegetarian, but I love their«Veg Out» burger. Sooooo tasty quinoa with avocado, sautéed onions, tomato, and mushrooms! Don’t forget your frozen custard after. The staff are also super friendly. Great service and food!

Delicious burgers. Ridiculous. Love the skirt. Veg Burger is what every burger joint should aspire to have. The service is friendly and humble — they can be snappy and bitey if they want, the food is good! Go for a sesame seed bun and make it like it’s backyard BBQ days.

First time coming in here today and I’m glad we did. The atmosphere was casual and friendly. The staff was super friendly and the food was awesome! Everything is fresh, not frozen and from local farmers. The soda is even made in house. If you’re in Downtown Colorado Springs come on in, you’ll be glad you did.

Great burgers. Really tasty beef, made to order fresh. I had the Pueblo Farmer which featured fresh made guacamole and pueblo chilies plus pepper-jack cheese. Note: the combination of chilies and guac is great if the chilies are mild enough, or roughly chopped so you don’t end up with too many in one bite. Unfortunately the large chili peices overwhelmed all the other ingredients so I took most of them off. Service was brusque and efficient due to a long line and there is very limited seating. This was by far the most popular restaurant open downtown — everything else was sparsely populated or closed.

This place is small and quaint so seating is limited but please don’t let a fullhouse make you miss out on one of thee best burgers I’ve had in a while. I got the Hangover, no bloody Mary sauce, Heifer sauce instead… and OMGEEEEEE! It took me 20 minutes to slowly eat & enjoy heaven between 2 buns! Absolutely scrumptious! When I saw Belgium fries, I got excited but these are not authentic Belgiums. Small in size & A little too salty for good haealth but super yummy all the same. Next time I’ll ask them to skip salting them. Definitely get some extra heifer sauce for dipping. They carry an all natural soda. A brand I’m familiar with & love. Customer service is swift. Food is cooked fresh so there is a bit of a wait. The BURGER will be worth it! I’ll be back for sure!

Wow burgers. Quality ingredients, endless topping, and savory, savory sauce. I ordered The Hangover burger, and completely fell in love. Juicy angus beef, an audacious fried egg, Peachwood smoked bacon, subtle cream cheese, and tangy Bloody Mary sauce. Need I say more? I was completely sober and it was phenomenal so you can imagine it after a hangover. Somehow I managed to scarf that down with the Bulgarian fries, which were golden crisp and extra delicious with the homemade ketchup and heifer sauce. Yum yum yum and all for around $ 10! If I lived in Colorado Springs, I would definitely be a regular here. In fact, no matter where you live, you should figure out how to be a regular here. I’d love to go back and build my own burger with all the details I love sometime.
