It no longer exists, sad.
The Chinook didn’t carry every book ever printed, but they carried all of the ones that were worth reading. Go into Barnes and Noble and you’ll find shelf after shelf of stuff that is a waste of paper; cheap Corvette coffee table books and so forth. When you went to the Chinook you could close your eyes and pull something off a shelf that was worth reading.
The owners decided they wanted to retire, understandably, but they didn’t think anyone could run it the way they had and closed the store.
