Looooooove this place! Being from Cali, this reminded me 100% of in and out! However, there is one thing that Drifters has that in and out doesn’t: chicken!!! I ordered a chicken sandwich wild style w some additives.(Basically, I got a cheeseburger wild style but w chicken instead.) Best«burger» when you’re on the fly!

I was excited to try Drifters after hearing it compared to a long lost love known as Inn In Out. And while I still wouldn’t say I’ve found that with Drifters, it’s still a great burger place. The burgers are still very much their own thing but they have an option just like the«animal style» at Inn In Out. They’re delicious, and I can’t complain. Their fries are just like McDonald’s with no salt. Be sure to ask for salt for your fries. That’s all, good stuff.

For me, this place was alright. Be prepared to wait in line a while as there is only one register. It’s a little noisy and crowded as heck during the lunchtime hour. Food tasted good, but nothing really special for me.

Had a cheeseburger, fries and a strawberry shake I ordered through drive thru which didn’t take long at all. The meal was satisfying, it’s just another burgers joint honestly.

Great service! The burger however did not live up to the hype. I ordered a cheeseburger wild style and it was still pretty standard fast food fare.

First and foremost, don’t go to Drifter’s looking for ambiance. It’s fast food, plain and simple. This is the closest thing you’re going to get to In-N-Out in Colorado. It’s a blatant copy… Wild Style? Island Burger? Drifter’s has better fries though. And they have delicious chicken sandwiches. I ordered mine with extra meat for extra gains. It was glorious. Staff was on point too, much like INO. I’d definitely eat at Drifter’s any day of the week.

Are you familiar with one of the very most popular Burger and fries joint on the west coast named In N Out Burgers? They are so popular that there are always long lines and drive throughs… always. Well, here in Colorado Springs we found the same place with a different name and same food, BUT, without any lines! Discover it yourself on Garden of the Gods Rd X Mark Dabling Blvd

Love, love, love this place. Think In-N-Out with browned burgers, thinner crisp fries. I love how they sear the burgers. Adds so much flavor and if you wild style it, you have an amazing experience. Love the thin, crisp fries. I truly hate limp, soggy fries and that is not a concern here. My favorite burger and always enjoy going here when heading down to Colorado Springs.

This is not good eats. Service is horrible, food is mediocre. I cannot eat onions, no matter what I told them, it had onions. After having it remade three time, it at least came out with raw onions that I could scrape off, versus the browned onions that get into the cheese. Hubby wanted just a plain hamburger with an extra patty, they would not do it, because the menu says the double has cheese. Will not return, would not recommend.

The food here was awful! I’ve had better burgers at McDonald’s and that doesn’t say much. The meat low quality at best. It was so bad, I ended up throwing it out after three bites, and going somewhere else. I don’t know what kind of low quality, low grade garbage they are claiming is meat, but clearly putting out a quality product is not something they are interested in. I love little hamburger stands and I will never go back to this place. It was such a disappointment.

While the food is pretty good I’m not sure how they stay in business. They will close early for the smallest bit of snow(this is Colorado). They also shut their shake machine down 30 minutes to an hour before close. How are you going to permanently advertise shakes on your sign but not serve them until close? Definitely needs some direction to be great.

If you’re marooned in Colorado and a big fan of In-N-Out, this is the burger joint for you! I heard rumors that they managed an In-N-Out location. I’ve eaten there about ten times and have never asked them, but it makes sense… because the food is quite close. It’s very good, and super consistent. I’ve never had bad food, never experienced bad service or order errors. I’m grateful to have this option to tide me over until I can«go west young man.» Give them a try — I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Old style fatty morsels of deliciousness very good place if your feeling the urge to crave a real burger. The boysenberry shake is absolutely amazing

Rumor has it this place is somehow connected with the legendary In-N-Out. I believe it. This is as good as it gets for fast food. Not kidding. Order a double cheeseburger, wild style, with fries and a shake and you will totally see the light. This place should be on every carnivore on Unilocal!‘s «To-Do» list. The drive-thru is a bit slow sometimes, but I imagine that’s because they are cooking everything fresh. The only thing that always throws me off is that the style of the location is heavily southwestern, like the owners leased out an old Mexican restaurant or something. Not a fan of that, I say if you are going to open a place this great really go for it. Remodel, give it as much flavor as you give your food. The curb-appeal is not working in their favor and has probably scared away a lot of people. The only reason I checked it out was because of a word-of-mouth recommendation.

Anything that caters to surf will catch my attention, especially when the closest beach is a 2 hour flight away. This was a great find for our crew(based in Southern California) because the menu and flavors are very reminiscent of In N Out. ANYONE that has ordered a Double-Double with grilled onions will know when I say the onions have a distinct flavor on the burger. Drifter’s has that NAILED. Orders are cooked fresh and hot, served up with the way In N Out’s fries SHOULD be! Our next trip to the Mountain, you know we’re gonna stop by for our DD fix! Thanks, Drifter’s! Hang Loose! And MAHALO for reading!

Hang Ten for Drifters Colorado Springs Food Guy went to Drifter’s Hamburgers located at 4455 Mark Dabling Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO80907. Kahili was our server and she was awesome, attentive and knowledgeable. Drifter’s Hamburgers resembles the In and Out Hamburger chain in the California-style burger. I sampled the regular Cheeseburger and the Double Cheeseburger. The Big Island burger was also a hit with a colossal 4 patties and extra cheese. Both restaurants use meat that is fresh and all natural, but I think Drifter’s burger patties are way juicer. In terms of French Fries, Drifter’s tastes better too. However, I think the House sauce should be a little thicker or maybe I should have asked for extra since it was also very tasty. The ambiance is average, but is consistent with the California beach house theme. The chicken sandwich was also sampled and although it was well seasoned, it had a little too much mayo. Don’t forget to ask for the grilled onions because it really makes the burgers unforgettable. The nice surprise of the evening was the Boysenberry milkshake. On a hot summer day, it was just the happy ending to a great meal. When you go to Drifter’s, tell them the Colorado Springs Food Guy sent you. Visit my website at

OM freakin’ G! Why is this my first visit??? The food is fast, fresh, & Delicious! Reminds me sooooo much of In n’ Out but better! Why do I say this? Because In n’Out does not use farm raised beef. I will be a steady customer until I die!

The food is AMAZING, or else I would have given this place one star. Seriously, I’m from California and this is like as good(or better) than in-n-out. My only gripe is drive thru times. We have a dvd player built into our dashboard and I swear to god i’ve watched an entire episode of Seinfeld from the time I entered the drive thru line til the time I got my burger multiple times. I used to work in the drive thru at panera, where we had to hand-make salads and pastas and paninis, and we still got people through the drive thru in 3 minutes with a huge variety in our menu. I feel like if you mostly just make hamburgers, just keep making them when it’s a busy lunch hour. Odds are, almost everyone in line wants a burger, so maybe just keep throwing them on the grill? Anyway, the food is ridiculously good, but the technical stuff needs to be worked out.

I was told this is the closest to In n Out that you can get in the Springs, so as a California native I was excited to try it. They’re similar, but they are nothing in comparison to In n Out. To be fair, they are still good burgers, I definitely prefer them wild style. I’ve tried them a few times, and the fries are rarely salted(of the times we’ve visited), both drive-thru and sit down. The girls working have attitude at times, maybe they’re just having off days when we go in, but we try to be nice anyways. The guys are much friendlier, and patient. Pros: –Good Burgers –Good prices –Generous fries, they pile them on. Cons: –Staff at times –Bathroom needs renovating. –They wouldn’t customize the menu at all, we just wanted some extra dressing for our fries and they said they couldn’t do it? Okay, no dressing it is lol.

Darn good burger made with higher quality beef. Copy of In-N-Out Burger? Not sure I see the similarities, but I am usually high when I eat at In-N-Out Burger. Drifters reminds me of a Tastee Freez setting, just like growing up in ND, one on every corner. Ample seating, clean bathrooms, friendly cooks/staff, and no one looking down their nose at you based on the clothes you wear. Bought lunch for myself and a buddy for $ 17 and was more than happy with serving size — both of us left full and wanted to take a nap. Have eaten here three times and the burger never changes, I like consistency. Keep the slabs of meat coming!
