The Kalua Pork plate is freaking amazing. L&L has so many different delicious options, but the Kalua Pork is hands down what keeps me coming back. This place stays busy! There have been times that the entire dining room is full on a Saturday afternoon, so we just take our food to go. The staff are friendly and the food is inexpensive for what you get — my husband and I usually split any of their plates and still sometimes have leftovers. Love this place.

We have only been here once to dine in and another time for take out. Their food is pretty good and we love their mochis. You have to get there early since they only make a certain amount everyday. It’s totally worth it!

Ecstatic to find this restaurant. Reminds me of home! The portions aren’t as large as the dishes on the island, but for this place being on the mainland they have ample variety of island food. Wish they had one in the Midwest — Aloha and Mahalo

Let me just say this place is the place to eat it’s as close as your going to get to some real Hawaiian food but the line is insane sometime best to go not during main rush times! Check out the picture.

When I first moved here, my family and I were so excited to have some local Hawaiian food. Sadly, it’s not as good as the real deal or local food from Vegas. Being that we’re in CO the food is eh. Majority of the time I’ve eaten or ordered to go, food has been dry and overcooked. Katsu is only ever good if their curry is poured over because the actual sauce doesn’t even taste like katsu sauce. Idk what sauce they actually use but it tastes awful. Food really only good if it has sauce or soup on it like Loco Moco or Saimin or Terry Burger with a lot of the sauce on it. Even the kalua pork(which is usually my go to) I’ve stopped ordering because it’s so dry.

I was born n raised in Hawaii, I come here for my «Local kine grindz». The food is good enough but something is missing in the curry, lol. I also ordered poi one day the cashier never knew what That was and they do have it on Saturdays but he wasn’t familiar with the menu I guess, luckily I got to ask another cashier around and they knew what I was talking about! So anyway I got the poi and it was served hot! $ 3.75 for small cup Not worth it. I didn’t like it hot and just didn’t taste good.

I want so badly to love this place, so I’m super disappointed to write this review. The food is ok, not as good as you’d get in Hawaii, but decent for a land locked state with few Hawaiians. The disappointing bit is the fact that we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food. And we’re not quite sure what happened because only 2 of the 10 tables in the restaurant had food on the table. The rest were waiting(im)patiently with us. However, since we were waiting, several families or individuals came in and ordered to go orders and got their food. If this were a fine dining establishment I can understand waiting awhile for food. Since it’s basically fast food, it’s pretty unacceptable to have to wait so long for some rice and meat in a styrofoam box. Frustrating experience. If you come here, either get your order to go or expect a long wait.

Your business should make it explicitly known that your foods contain MSG. And trying to hide this fact when asked about is very, very poor business practice!!!

Almost half an hour wait for two musubis. Very disappointed! Not to mention when I finally got it. It was sloppy. They say it’s because I was after everyone, but there was families that ordered after me that got their order before me. Even another customer agreed I was waiting a long time. Own up to your mistake that you forgot about my order and make it right. Customer service big fail!

Ive been going to L&L BBQ since I was in high school. Not this one but one in California and this tastes like I never left. Food took awhile since it was lunch hour but it is so worth the wait! Kinda bummed y’all are so up north but it’s worth the drive(we live in fountain)

My husband and I were born and raised in Hawaii. Flavor isn’t there or tastes completely different. Most of the stuff that they serve was bought frozen and warmed, like the Manapua and laulau, which you can get frozen at any Asian store here or in Denver. Service is slow and employees seem unhappy to work there. Didn’t even wanna touch the butter Mochi cuz it looked really oily! Not to mention the place is overpriced! You are better off cooking your own food from the islands!

I’m a big fan of a good plate of bbq, never having had Hawaiian bbq I had to try this place. The atmosphere was a little cheesy and unwelcoming which i see why I saw more carry-out meals. The food itself was above average, had good flavor and was tender on both the pork, beef and ribs. For the money is a great value but it’s nothing to rave about. The menu does have some unique and special items that I haven’t seen anywhere else like a ramen noodle burger

I don’t know how I have been here for 10 years and never been to this establishment. I was scolded by a co worker for never eating lunch here so I finally made it, the old man at the counter was friendly and took my order. I ordered the kalua(pork) with white rice and cabbage. The meal was nicely prepared and hot as I took my first bite I could not help but smile, this place has some amazing food I ate every bit of it. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.

My family and I used to go to the one in Denver and remembered when they first opened here in the Spgs. After leaving, I often think about L&L and would talk about it often to friends I was stationed with in Hawaii. Every time I get to travel in the area, I always make sure to stop in.

It’s Hawaiian food. They have musubi Mondays. They also usually have little flyers of other dishes hanging up under the main menu. Those dishes usually aren’t on their website so you never know what they could be serving that day. I’ve always liked everything I’ve ordered here. Don’t go here if you’re in a hurry. I’ve waited up to 30 minutes for my food. Service is slow but the staff is usually friendly. I’d give it 4 stars if the service was faster.

If you can’t make it to the island, then this is the best way to get your hands on some ono grinds.

I was waiting to use the restroom, and I witnessed the owner leave it as he didn’t wash his hands. Also, he didn’t bother replacing the empty paper towel dispenser, but I suppose he wasn’t worried about it since he never even rinsed his hands before going back to work in the kitchen! I love L & L, but I will never be returning to this particular franchise.

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is down right delicious. They have a wide variety of island food and none of which are bad. My personal favorite is the #2BBQ Combo, pork, beef and chicken who could go wrong?! This location isn’t as good as the location in Aurora. I like the fact that it’s a little bit larger and the dining room is a little cleaner but the food just lacked a little something. It wasn’t bad just not quite as exciting. This was my first visit so I’ll definitely be back to give it another chance, who knows maybe I caught them on an off day.
