Dined here with my husband using a groupon. Our meal was pleasant but nothing to «oooh and aaaah» over. The mushroom appetizer, shared, was more of an amuse bouche. Two small stuffed mushrooms. We both had the Caesar salad which was nice and crisp. Our entrees(steak and salmon) were good although my salmon was a skosh well done. The veggies that accompanied the entrees were fresh and tasty. Sadly, the desserts were not made in house. We chose the cheesecake and a lemon mascarpone cake. We shared the vanilla bean cheesecake and took the mascarpone home as they were both pretty large. The cheesecake was alright. Would be nice if the dessert offerings weren’t à la Sysco. Honestly, can’t say that I would return. The $ 60 groupon plus two cocktails, a glass of wine, and tip added to $ 120-ish. For that price, the competition is pretty hard to beat.

As expensive as this place is I expected better service. The front of the house was empty with no one to greet us. Three waiters walked past us without a single word. The woman at the bar yelled across the room that she’d be a moment. Very unprofessional for a nice restaurant. The remainder of service was ok, portion sizes were lacking. The escargot was good as an appetizer but the rest of the dinner was just ok. We probably won’t be back as we can get a better meal with better service elsewhere. We had reservations well in advance, but even without I’d hope for better service.

I give 3 stars only because of the fresh seafood. The ambiance leaves much to be desired. Service is mediocre if you come after 8. Needs improvement

We came here for dinner with a big group. We were very pleased with how energetic and friendly the whole staff was. The food was great as well. Everyone got something different as their main dish and they all were very pleased. Would definitely come back here again next time we are in the area!

We were underwhelmed when we dined here last night. The parking was ample and the building was nice. The service was good but not great. We started with the seafood platter and really liked the shrimp and crab stuffed mushroom but the calamari was rubbery. I had the house salad with the citrus house dressing and didn’t really care for it as the dressing just tasted like lemon and honey mixed together. We asked for medium pepper flambé steaks and got them medium well though they were tasty. The carrots were hard and we were just done with this place by that time. It’s a disappointment because of the price paid for these underwhelming meals and because our previous favorite place Peppertree went down hill in service and quality.

Went to Josephs today for a business lunch. This was my first visit there. The service was good, and it was quiet — perfect for a business lunch. No constant interuptions. We were seated immediately and they asked us where we would like to sit at. Our waiter was nice and friendly. The quality of the food is good: fresh, great taste, and served on a nicely decorated plate. Shows me that they take pride in their food. The prices are okay, not too expensive. I will definitely go back, want to show this place to my wife. I can recommend Josephs for the great food & service, and if you’re looking for a quiet place where you can actually have a conversation. Big plus in my opinion: no TV’s in every corner! So why only four stars? I asked for more bread and the guy just kind of nodded and then brought it, put it on our table without a word. Acted like I asked for another meal for free! Then I looked — and it was just one piece of bread! Because I was the one who had asked he only brought one piece for me. So my business partner and I broke it in half and shared. Come on Josephs — don’t be cheap on the bread! But that’s just a minor issue: it’s still a great place for a nice meal!

Joseph’s is now across the street from the old location in a custom-built building. All of the things I loved about the old Joseph’s are still here – the flambé spinach salad, the table-side prepared pepper steak, the wonderful staff, Joseph’s warm presence. The menu is somewhat expanded, but the most wonderful change is the lunch menu. It has REALLY expanded and now we go for lunch too! Joseph’s sister, who serves the entire operation was supposedly leaving prior to Joseph’s moving to the new location. It was such a wonderful surprise to hear her voice when making reservations at the new restaurant. It was even more wonderful to be greeted by her friendly smile. I think I might take myself here for my birthday!

Hmm, I was teetering between a 3 and 4 star rating for Joseph’s. But reminiscing about the food brings me to a 4 star rating. Every time that we’ve been to Joseph’s we have had a half-off coupon or bought a Groupon coupon. I don’t know that the food, ambiance, and service is worth paying full price. This last visit our server seemed to be trying way too hard to be suave and fancy. It was just awkward. Plus even with his trying to be sophisticated he didn’t have all the answers to our simple questions. Our appetizers: Jalapeño-Artichoke Stuffed Mushrooms and the Goat Cheese Bruschetta were awesome!(see photo) My entrée, Chicken Madiera, was also excellent. Perfectly cooked and savory.(see photo). I typically try to be more adventurous when dining at a fancy place, but I’m glad I went with the chicken. My wife’s fish entrée was just ok. Two last thoughts, ok three… Just because you’re a «fancy» restaurant doesn’t mean you have to gouge customers for drinking a soft drink($ 3.75?! Really?!). You really should expand your Colorado craft brew repertoire, there are so many good beers to choose from — add them to your menu. I’m looking forward to the new Joseph’s location; it is just across the street and is slated to be open either late summer or early fall 2014.

This restaurant has some good food. The ambience and décor is a bit forgettable but I am always in it for the food. I came for dinner and had the lamb chops, fiancée had the scallops and both were delicious. The only knock was that I was sitting at the end of a restaurant and as the sun was setting, it blasted me through a window in the ceiling. You would think you would cover that up and have a curtain or something because it has to be a reoccurring problem. Overall though I would definitely come back again.
