It’s a Denny’s — what do ya expect? It’s good for quick breakfast food, and a place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The food was alright, nothing too special, but the staff was nice! The place was clean. It’s just an average late night breakfast food place. It’s downtown, so there will be homeless people around, but I wasn’t bothered by them.

Horrible. Sat ourselves down and had to go find our own highchair. Ordered our meals after waiting forever for a waitress and when the meal came out it was entirely wrong. The waitress messed up not only our order but several others. Dingy. Old. Will not come again.

Im torn on how many stars to leave. The bathroom were beyond disgusting. There was blood on the baby changing table. There was tp thrown all over the bath room. The changing table was not sturdy. Had to use my knee to keep it from falling with my child on it. The door to the bathroom was falling apart. The paneling on the door was falling off. Service was good. Not awesome or horrible. They were very busy. I ordered a build your own slam. Hot cakes, extra crispy hashbrowns, crispy bacon and eggs. The hashbrowns were barely cooked. The scramble eggs were over cooked. So because of the good service ill give them a two star wish i could do two and a half.

It’s a different kind of place and atmosphere… I am a very morning riser, usually around 3 am. Not much to do or places to go at that hour, so I go get some coffee in the morning, sometimes a $ 2 short stack. I was in there this morning, and I wish I had got the name of the server I had… She did a great job at dealing with a few intoxicated patrons, she was STILL polite, and courteous, and treated everyone present with respect. LOVETHAT! So I told her what an admirable quality that was, she responded, «It’s my job.» Smile, and told me thank you for noticing. Great way to start out my day!

First off my husband and i stood waiting for at least 4 min for the wait staff to seat us(nobody was in restaurant) then first put us at a dirty table just gross. So then we order our food. My husband got his food with small pieces of black bacon and burnt hashbrown. But hes not one to complain. Me on the other hand if im using my hard earned money i would want it to be as close to how i would make it and edible. So to say that it wasn’t any way shape or form close to it is an understatement. I got bacon that was black burnt and hasbrowns that were rock hard on the outside. I asked the waitress if she was kidding me? She asked if something was wrong? REALLY. WOW i said yeah do you eat black bacon or hasbrowns that are visible hard and burnt. So round two, i get bacon that isnt completely cooked meaning very translucent and hasbrowns that arent even cooked meaning hardly cooked. I looked at the waitress like are you kidding me. She takes them back and another lady came out asking how i would like my food cooked? I looked at her and asked if she would have eatin it either way it was brought to me. She asked how i wanted my bacon cooked. I asked for it not be black and cooked thru and the same with hasbrowns. Okay so i get the 3rd plate. The bacon looked like it was cooked in a dehydrator other then that its looked fine until i took a bite and said what the are you joking it was a piece of hair so i pushed it off to the side and then noticed a slimy something and thought mayb it was just cuz the eggs were over easy. So i then asked my husband what that was and he is an egg expert lol and when he said i dont know. I knew then i was done with that meal and this place. Im not sorry for expecting my food to be edible and asking for a replacement. I dont expect the cook or wait staff to retaliate however i know it does happen. Then to top it off they charged my husband for my meal!!! I walked out before my husband paid otherwise I would have raised hell and at that point it would not have been a good idea. So i would give Denny’s NOSTARSBUT I CANTGOLOWER. Hopefully this stops people going to this trash hole place and wasting time and money!!!

This place need serious help! My wife and I stopped for launch on our way home this weekend. We stood at the door waiting for help to be seated. After about 4 to 5 minutes we were finally acknowledge we were even there. The staff member said one sec and proceeded to yell at one another staff member that was still caring on a conversation with two gentlemen in a booth. Her reply was«yeah yeah ok.» Then after about 3 more minute the first staff member yelled at another girl to not take the silverware. Which the second staff member replied f– you. Well after that she asked us did we want a table or booth. We replied table please. She look and said let me clean one for us. She walked over to a booth and started to talk to someone she apparently knew. So we watched her and decided that we would just leave. Went next door to Village inn the best decision we made! Stay away from this Denny I wish i could give them no star!!!

Just like any other Denny’s as far as cheap, bland food, however our server went above and beyond to be nice to our children. Even made our son the«baseball pancake» which has been gone from the menu for years. People make all the difference.

If you have food allergies of any kind, you DONOT want to eat here ! We let the staff know that some one in my groups had really bad food allergies and asked to substitute a part of there meal with some thing thay could eat. When our food finally got to our table, it was Cold, atardecer was rude, and thay did not make the substitución like we has asked. Becuse of there lack of lisonning skills, we ended up spending the day in the Emergency Room, trying to her the reaction to the food to stop. When we returned the next day to speek with the maneger, thay gave us the run around. If you want to sit down and envite Tour meal with out any problums… I would stay away from this location. Your health and peace of mind is not worth the head ack.

Against my wishes of trying a mom and pop shop, my friend took me to this Denny’s. I have nothing against Denny’s but like to try new places when I’m visiting. The seat was extremely worn, hole and everything. Ordered a simple build your own slam consisting of bacon eggs, hash browns, and an English muffin. I like my food on the crispy side but it came out burnt and very unappealing. When you take pride in what you do, there is no way that you would bring this plate out to someone. The server was really nice but the embarrassing part was when she flagged the cook and he came to our table and she walked away saying it was too crispy for me to explain what was going on. I didn’t want to tell the man your food was not presentable especially when he was looking like nothing was wrong with it. I just ate some of my friend’s ultimate skillet, which had many burnt pieces but was definitely better than mine. Upon leaving I had to use the restroom which had no toilet paper or paper towels!

I mean, it’s a Denny’s. Not five star no matter where it’s located. This Denny’s could do better, though, hence my rating. I met a couple of customers for breakfast before an event and I was less than thrilled with the service especially because we were one of THREE tables of guests in the entire establishment! Our first waitress went MIA right after we all had drinks so we had to flag the other waitress down to order food. One of our meals was completely forgotten, and two of us were left staring at our food for several minutes while they cooked the forgotten meal. That being said, Denny’s now offers a mild and bold flavor coffee, yay! And they do offer traditional diner fare with a few healthy options for those of us who watch our waistlines. If I’m ever starving in COSPGS again, I’d consider Denny’s… but only if all the other options for food were closed.

I wanted to enjoy a nice breakfast while reading the weekend paper. I roll up to this Denny’s and walk inside. There’s no one to greet me. I think that’s fine. I’m a pretty easy going guy. I observe the scene and see a group get up from their table to go pay. They ask for the manager and complain that the experience was not to their standards. They wanted free food. I thought they might just be cheap, and I didn’t hear the whole context of what went wrong. At this point, a server had came to talk to them at the counter. Then a manager came to talk to them. The lady said that she was sensing that the workforce there had an attitude. The lady got her free food and stormed off, saying, «We’re outta here.» At this point, I’d been there for about 5 minutes with no one acknowledging that I was there or making any attempt even at eye contact. Mind you, I’m standing 3 feet from the manager and the server at this point and there was no way to miss me. Then another couple came up to pay and I hear the woman talk to her husband about how she didn’t like this place and had a bad experience. After 5 – 10 minutes standing up front waiting to be seated and having no one even make eye contact, I left this place immediately and went to find somewhere else to eat. If you’ve had the food at one Denny’s you’ve eaten at them all. It’s the service here that is absolutely atrocious and they need some serious management changes. I didn’t even make it to a table!

Went in late at night upon our arrival to CO from TX. The server had about 9 tables since she was the only one there. She didn’t show any stress though. We had 2 coffees and 2 burgers. Everything was so delicious. The burgers were some of the best we’ve ever had.

Waitress was very attentative and easy going. Everything we ordered came quick and hot. I had three eggs easy over and pancakes. Eggs are eggs but the pancakes were awesome. Only thing I had for them was to let a customer know to take the ticket to the register in the front instead of letting us sit there twiddling our thumbs before we finally asked.

Now, I certainly don’t go into a Denny’s expecting a coat check or a well versed table-side sommelier — and definitely not when I go in at 2AM — but I certainly would expect edible food, service on par with it’s competitors, and inexpensive prices? Guess what I got? Maybe I was asking for it when I ordered a mozzarella stick sandwich, but morbid curiosity got the best of me. Sticks were still cold, and the molten cholesterol that I had expected to ingest was more of a solid brick. The bacon and eggs I went with were fine — tough to mess up. But the fresco flat-bread my girlfriend got may have been the single worst thing I have ever eaten — sure, it might not be the chefs, it might just be terrible; but the most important thing for you to take away from that statement is not to order. And there was a hair or two, but it’s Denny’s — it’s something that you should expect And the service just plain wasn’t good — long waits, incorrect orders, and never getting refills. Just not good. Now I get it, «it’s 2AM, and your’e in Denny’s, what do you expect?» That’s not an excuse to just show your patrons a shitty time. At that hour, I’ll certainly be checking out other late-night eateries rather than coming back here.

My family and I ate here on a wednesday morning, it was not crowded at all. We were extremely disappointed with the entire experience. The staff was slow and seemed very confused and unorganized. They offer 4 kids breakfast meals all featuring pancakes. They charged us almost 2 dollars to substitute French toast in a kids meal. So it basically cost almost $ 6 for a piece of bread and a piece of sausage. We waited about half hour for our food when the waitress informed us she put the order in wrong, we said we were in a hurry and to just give us the wrong one. She did take 20 percent off our bill, gee thanks. We had to ask for water twice and it took about 15 minutes. The restaurant itself was just dirty and gross. Three out of our 4 sets of silverware were dirty. You know it’s bad when 6 and 8 year old boys think it’s dirty! Yuck!

Ambiance: Little has changed over the years with Denny’s, with the exception that the counter is gone. This is your typical franchised coffee shop. Always open. Service: Poor and unprofessional. I have had better service at McDonald’s. During a recent dinner visit, waiter and cook in the back carried on a constant conversation back and forth, yelling from dining room to kitchen. Loud music playing, was a little oft-putting, and I suppose the music was for the benefit of the help, and not for the clientele. Though place was slow(only about five tables of customers), my dinner took 25 minutes to arrive. Had to flag down waiter for water refills. Food: The kind of place you go because you are hungry, and nothing else is open. Poor menu selection. Went with a tilapia that was way over-cooked and very dry and crumbly. Mashed potatoes were instant. The garlic bread was ok. Overall, in keeping with my commitment to visit and review every restaurant in Colorado Springs, it was time to patronize Denny’s. Though I had not stepped foot into a Denny’s in nearly 15 years, I did so with an open mind, thinking maybe it had changed over the years. Sadly, that is not the case. I would rather go through a fast food drive thru window than eat at Denny’s.

On the rare occasion that we were on the west side of town we stopped here. The area is kind of sketchy. Parking feels unsafe even though it is private lot it sits right next to the welfare office so it gets a lot of traffic in the area. The area is also known for transients to walk around probably because the proximity of the homeless shelter is within a couple miles. The run down 7 – 11 on the corner doesn’t help either. Most of the bad of this place is about the area which is a shame because the service here has always been great. I liked at the time the $ 2, 4, 6, 8 deal they had going on. I had a strange craving for the mozarella sticks sandwich. The food was always at par and service was great but the area always turned me off.
