Sandwiches and sides are just ok in my opinion. If they weren’t as expensive as they are it wouldn’t be as big of a deal but 2 sandwiches/drinks/chips will run you over $ 30. For the price, there’s better options.

Not worth the time or money to go here. I waited 30 minutes for their«number one sandwich». They completely forgot my order. When I got it, it was messy and average at best. Not worth 5 dollars and they ask for nearly 10.

Ive come to this place a few times and tried something different each time. Nothing jas veen a disappointment! Its clean and air conditioned. The counter people are always nice. This time I came there was a guy in the kitchen that sounded pretty annoying and wouldn’t shutup but that’s okay this place is still good. Just a tip their cajun sauce is good on EVERYTHING! They also have salads and sides. Hot and cold sandwiches. I would definitely urge you to try this place if you’re in the area shopping or whatever. A few dollars more than what you usually pay for a sandwich but I’m always full and usually have leftovers.

I was at the proverbial crossroads. Approaching a literal fork in the road. I had received permission to go wherever I wanted for lunch. We had the time, and I was the only one who was hungry. I truly could go wherever I wanted without having to consider the taste of those with me. But did I really want to go way out to Clovis for a sandwich? I was told just the day before about a sandwich I should try, that was much closer. But the New Yorker at Sequoia is so good! I made the turn to go up the 168, and immediately regretted my decision. But it was too late to turn back now. Sequoia Sandwich, here I come. I always get the New Yorker. Only once did I get something different, and it wasn’t as good. So as I got in line, I grabbed a menu, looking for something else that might seem interesting. I noticed 2 different kinds of pastrami sandwiches that looked good, but pastrami burned me the last place I went, and the memory was still fresh in my mind. No pastrami. Was I really hungry enough to eat a whole New Yorker? I really wasn’t. So I made a foolhardy decision. I ordered something new. The cheese steak. I’ve tried to find a good cheese steak in town, and come close to the original, but that’s it. I had high hopes. Alas, I should have got the New Yorker… I may never get anything else here besides that from now on

The food is good, but the hygiene of the employees is severely lacking. They don’t all wear gloves to prepare or handle food. I saw(and even pointed out to another employee) one of the employees running his fingers through his hair and then TOUCHING the food that was being served without washing. I then observed another employee taking out the trash and then returning to preparing food WITHOUTWASHING!!! Seriously, it’s fucking disgusting.

One of my favorite places to eat! It’s always very clean & quick service. Every time I’ve gone I try to get something new & i’ve never left unimpressed! The cashiers are always very helpful with suggestions. For a fast casual atmosphere the prices are fair, I do recommend dessert(sugar cookies). I am a very happy, loyal and satisfied customer.

OVERPRICED!!! First time trying this place, as it is close to home. It is beautiful on the inside. Seemed very clean. I was not greeted at all. I decided on the Hot Pastrami, Side of Potato Salad, & a ice tea. I was not asked what I wanted or what I didn’t want on sandwich, none of the normal sandwich establishment elements ever took place. I paid and they handed me receipt, a number to put on table, and I grabbed a cup for my drink and sat down. There were no thanks you or anything, very dry employees. I did not look at receipt until I sat down. SHOCKER!!! Hot Pastrami 9.99 Yukokn Potato Salad 1.99(half a cup & yes they spelled wrong) Fountain Beverage 2.29 tax 1.17 total $ 15.44 So, I am thinking, this must be one big sandwich & it must be great. Realized I forgot to say no Mustard,(normally a sandwich place asks when ordering) so I asked them no mustard. They brought food over to table, what an utter disappointment. I have attached a picture of the sandwich(½ of it) that I paid $ 9.99 for. It was meager at best, very small amount of meat and I couldn’t even taste the swiss cheese. Bread was no better than something you buy at the supermarket. The Yukokn Potato Salad was horrible. Any grocery store that carries it would have been better and cheaper. My over all experience was disappointment. I will not be going back…0

Took my dad out to lunch so I picked this place. We both ordered the pastrami on rye and shared some potato salad. Compared to the many places I’ve eaten at, this is probably my least favorite place for a pastrami sandwich. Sunnyside Deli is so much better. The potatoe salad needed some help as well, that’s about it. If you do end up here, order something other than the pastrami.

Definitely my favorite sandwich place in Fresno. Very high quality meats(which are piled on in abundance) and cheeses. My favorite is the New Yorker. I like to get it with all pastrami instead of half corned beef, and sub squaw bread. I’m a big guy and I eat a lot, and I usually end up taking half the sandwich home(unless I’m REALLY hungry). I have tried lots of sandwiches here(the burger is also amazing) and I have loved everything I have tried. Service has been great every time I come in. Any time I have a special request for my sandwich(as mentioned above) they cashier notes my request with a smile and the kitchen always gets it right. It’s a great family friendly place with incredible food and I will continue to come back again and again.

I have been to this place multiple times and each time have had a different sandwich(foe the most part) and they have all been delicious. My favorite is the chicken fajitas, the breads are always soft and freshly baked, the meat and chicken is always juicy and good quality. I have never had a bad experience here.

Came in on a Monday around 2pm. As a vegetarian and new in this area, I asked my coworkers for recommendations and they suggested this place. I ordered the tomato basil mozzarella panini and didn’t even finish half of it. The bread was not grilled as I have come to expect for a panini. The ingredients were mashed and not well put together. I just wasn’t impressed at all. Flavor was lacking and it was almost cold. The young lady who took my order was uninspiring and seemingly distracted with the other guys working with her. Food took about 7 minutes to make. I won’t be back. I sat outside and that was my favorite part(the chips were ok). Perhaps the meat sandwiches are better but this vegetarian won’t recommend it based on this visit.

Sequoia Sandwich Company is definitely one of my regular spots in Clovis. The food comes fast. Service is always good. The restaurant is very roomy and clean. Plus it’s in a very convenient part of town. But if you follow my reviews, service, location, and cleanliness will only get you one star, maybe two stars from service, location and cleanliness. Now to the food. The reason I keep coming back to this restaurant. I’ve only eaten a few sandwiches here, unfortunately. I’d like to broaden my horizons here at SSC. But I always get the New Yorker. I can not come here without ordering this sandwich. I would love to try something else. But SSC is going to have to take the New Yorker off the menu for that to happen.

Me and my boyfriend constantly come here to eat and we are never disappointed. All the chicken sandwiches we’ve tried so far are really good. People complain about the pricing, but honestly it’s a quality sandwich that truly fills you up so I don’t mind paying. We’ve been here a lot and the employees are always welcoming. Love this place!

The people working are not particularly friendly and the sandwich was overpriced. The guy working the cash register didn’t really greet us and just looked at us, annoyed, waiting for us to give him our order. It was my first time and I felt rushed by him so I just quickly picked something. I turned to my friend and asked if he thought we should get fries and the guy working said«…we don’t have fries here…» again, sounding very annoyed. The sandwich was good but had a whole lot of sauerkraut and way less meat in comparison. For $ 10 it’s not something that will have me running back. I guess I just expected a lot more.

The New Yorker sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had, period. I’ve had various famous sandwiches in NYC(Artie’s etc) and this one is as good or better than those. It’s a glorious concoction of pastrami, corned beef, swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and coleslaw served on rye bread. I’ve had some of their other sandwiches and those are just ok in comparison – specifically, I’m talking about roast turkey on squaw bread and the club. Their baked potatoes are worth a mention too. See my pic of that. As for the actual location, it’s in a strip mall in Clovis; there is a starbucks near and other strip mall-type places. The interior has plenty of room to sit and there is outdoor seating as well. I’ll be going back for the New Yorker and also to try their cakes which look scrumptious and filling. However, I’ve never been able to eat dessert here because I’m too full/satisfied with the New Yorker.
