The rolls are a bit on the greasy side but otherwise taste ok.

I love these egg rolls! They are huge, but cooked very well. They are priced very reasonably. Taste of Soul is one of the best food trucks I’ve had the pleasure to frequent. I definitely recommend finding them and getting your egg roll on.

I really enjoy this truck — nice people who serve really good food. Very good food! Don’t eat at a lot of trucks so can’t compare too much but this one seems top notch.

Great eggroll! Great food, and you can tell by the line. While waiting I overheard a couple say they drove 45 minutes just to come and eat at taste of soul again! I know why now! It was delicious!

This place is delicious. Probably the best egg rolls I’ve ever had(maybe tied with Foodie’s). Not only that, but the owners are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. We went to H &8th last night and showed up around 10(our mistake), stood in line at this truck for about 30 – 45 minutes only for the person in front of us to get the last bit of food. The owner gave everyone still in line free food from their chicken and waffle truck. The owner is always so gracious to all of his business and I’m more than happy to give him my money for his delicious egg rolls!

Chicken /chicken jalapeño Eggrolls & Seasoned Fried Rice & Cherry Dessert — A must try. Like taste of soul egg rolls on Facebook. There you can find where they are located daily & weekly. They do an awesome job. The most friendly people ever, always full of smiles. The food is made to order hot, fresh & soulfly seasoned. Taste of soul catering will be a great idea for your next group event. I have used them twice last month. Yes they are that good. Its not your typical Asian eggroll. They have gigantic size breakfast Eggrolls, chicken, Turkey Eggrolls. I always suggest people to look for the Taste of soul egg roll truck.

This is my favorite food truck in OKC, hands down. Great big delicious egg rolls(I like the veggie and the turkey ones) and delicious fried rice. Large portions of each for $ 7.00 makes it a good value, and two people can share one entrée if you want to save room for dessert. This truck is owned by two of the nicest people on the planet, too, which makes eating at their truck even more enjoyable. Try it soon!

I love this little food truck! I try to swing by there whenever they are close to work, which is pretty regular. It’s a nice change since there isn’t anything else close except fast food and that gets old. They only serve 2 things, fried rice and egg rolls but they do them both well. The servings are huge, I usually get the lunch special for $ 7 which comes with fried rice and 2 egg rolls and the egg rolls are so big I usually have half for lunch and the other half for dinner. They always serve them up right out of the deep fryer so they are piping hot, but because they don’t have time to drain off properly they can also be a little too greasy. This would be my only complaint, but it’s not enough to deter me from going. It’d be better if they cooked them up a little bit ahead of time so they had a little time to drain the grease off, but I understand they can’t always do that when there is a line outside and you are trying to serve them up fast. As long as they keep coming by, I will keep going.

I’ll just keep this simple. 2 stars for«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» The Egg Rolls were extremely big, really oily, and the filling was boring. I get that they’re not going for an Asian egg roll so the flavor wasn’t bad. The fried rice, however, was extrememly boring. Oversaturated in soy sauce with tiny diced chicken and egg. It was also very oily. Not inedible, but I wouldn’t get it again. «Not your average egg roll» indeed.

Yum! I was so glad to finally get to try @EGGROLLicious during Soundbites on Friday. I guess maybe I’d never had a fresh, hand-rolled egg roll fried upon order. The filling inside was still crisp and fresh — even the oil was fresh. If you’ve ever had old oil, you know what I’m talking about. This was across the board fresh, crispy, hot, flavorful egg roll goodness. I had a chance to meet the owners Ricki and Cerese Bly on Friday before the event. They were so nice and polite, and we were visiting for a minute, before Cerese excused herself to go roll egg rolls. I guess that’s how fresh they are; rolled only moments before the lunch rush(say that five times fast). That would explain the freshness! All these food truck owner/operators are working really hard, especially this time of year when the weather is nice and we’re cramming six months of activities into two nice months of weather. They’re working very hard in a very small space and hoping to make a wide variety of customers with wildly varied tastes happy in a short amount of time, and under many different types of conditions. I grade on a curve: when you’re dealing with all of those variables and mangage to make something I would be happy with if I had paid more to eat it in a sit down restaurant, I’m going with at least four stars.

If you love egg rolls and street food then this is your joint. The portions are good size and the pick 2 meal is plenty. Don’t expect to get much accomplished after lunch, as eating here will put you into a food coma.

I got a rather huge plate of rice and eggrolls. It cost about $ 7, which isn’t –terrible– for how much food it was, but portion size is all it really had going for it. Yes, the eggrolls are huge but they had a really off taste. They were incredibly greasy, too. The chicken and turkey inside each really threw me off, but that’s a personal preference –I don’t really like meaty eggrolls. The cabbage wasn’t great. It just tasted like the greasy outside of the eggroll. The rice was just awful. After tasting it I had to ask my boyfriend if he doused it in soy sauce. Blech! It really did taste like rice shaped soy sauce. It gets 2 stars because I’m sure this is fine for people with maybe not much time to eat. Say, if they show up in your work place parking lot. If you have time to sit down and eat, there are innumerable options for Chinese/Asian restaurants everywhere for the same price if not a bit lower during lunch hours.

I love this food truck! It’s usually at 63rd and Meridian during lunch, but it does roam throughout the week. Their eggrolls are huge and stuffed with delicious meats or veggies. And the chicken fried rice that comes with a combo is a meal on it’s own. The owner is a super friendly guy who’s just excited to be doing what he loves, and it really shows when you step up to order at his truck.

I first had Taste of Soul when I was at LIVE on the Plaza. For $ 7 we got 2 chicken egg rolls and chicken fried rice. It was pretty good! We also had apple egg roll for dessert, which I would highly recommend!
