It’s been a long time since my favorite Chinese restaurant Oui Lin’s on 11th and N Penn closed down about 30 years ago, but I digress Good Chinese food in OKC is a dying thing. The city is littered with take out places that offer the same frozen to fryer or wok fare. Don’t believe me? Pick up a take out menu and they almost all look identical. Speedy Wok is a small local joint that is different. Everything tastes better. It tastes like there’s a little love in it. My foodie in training toddler always goes for the chicken fried rice and it is quite tasty. My complaint as a parent and eater is the only veggies in it are bean sprouts and onion. Can a brother get a carrot or some broccoli at least for some color? I’ve tried everything from sesame chicken to lo mein. My go to is steamed veggies with brown rice on those days where I don’t want to feel like I need a power nap and an IV drip to rehydrate. The people are always friendly and helpful. There are several lighter dishes on the menu to choose from. Take out or dine in this little place is well worth a visit.

Best Chinese in town. Family run for 23 years. It’s very cheap and possibly best value in town, especially for lunch. Every item: entrees, sides, soups all delicious. Highly recommend!

What a gem! I love me some Speedy Wok, I have been coming here frequently the past couple of months since I found out about the place. They offer tasty food at a great price and are family owned. You should definitely stop into Speedy Wok and try a platter, it’s the best.

Member«THEBESTASIANTAKEOUTINNORTHWESTOKLAHOMACITY, OK» Pending review I finally had the oppurtunity to try Speedy Wok. After passing by this establishment several times, the outside appearance made me apprehensive to go in. I googled Speedy Wok and saw the positive reviews, so I finally decided to give them a try. I am so grateful that I did not judge this restaurant by its outisde apprearance. Speedy Wok is extremely clean on the inside. You could literally eat of the tables and the floors. The staff is so friendly and professional. The staff makes you feel like you are dining at a neighbors house. OMG now too mention the food. I have tried several Asain/Chinese restaurants in NWOKC, however I can honestly say not one of them so close to my home has one me over like, Speedy Wok. The only regret I have is it took me so long to eat here. Now, I am truly hooked that I have my favorite Asain/Chinese restaurant only 10 mins from my home. I ordered the lunch portion of sweet and sour shrimp, it came with approx 6 – 8 shrimp, your choice of fried rice or steamed rice,(fried rice for me), your choice of egg drop or hot n sour soup(egg drop for me), and an egg roll. The portion of food was enough for me too have a another meal the next day. The price for all of this was a little over $ 5.00. Speedy Wok has definetely hooked me. I enjoyed sitting down and talking with the son who has taken over helping his parents with this family owned restaurant. The fact this restaurant has been in business at the same location for 23 years, speaks for itself. Don’t just take my word for it, if you want some GREAT Asain/Chinese food you can’t go wrong with Speedy Wok.

I ordered orange beef. nasty overcooked flour fried something in a box and tasted like soy sauce with a little tangie flavor. The Plastic container that it came in was not even full to the top with food. I payed almost 10 dollars for that. wonton soup had dumplings that were mushy and had no flavor, with too much pepper added to the«broth» the hot and sour was bad too no hot taste or sour just some veggies and pieces of what looked like pork or chicken. the egg roll was a least hot. The shrimp fried rice was«ok» I liked the bean sprouts but there was too much and not many pieces of shrimp. It says green onion and I saw maybe 4 very very small pieces in the rice. All for 24 dollars and some change. I ate the fried rice and egg roll. the rest of the food I threw out on the street hopping a homeless person might eat it or a stray dog.

Awesome food! Great customer service. I’ve been a customer for almost 10 years and it’s always been good. They also deliver, which is so convenient. I love their fried rice. And their prices are awesome too. Best Chinese food I’ve had here in OKC.

I’ve seen this place sitting here for 20 years and finally gave it a try. Oops, that was my mistake. The food was starchy, overcooked and greasy; I’m sure I won’t be back. I can find better elsewhere. Mel

I have gone to this place here and there for over 10 years now and the portions and flavor is always consistent. I’ve only had a few dishes but they are always good. Id imagine most if not all of there dishes are good.

I LOVE Speedywok! It’s a little Chinese diner beside Crest. When passing by it would be very unassuming, but don’t let anything about this fool you! I don’t use these words often, but… It’s the BEST Chinese take out in the entire Metro! The food is always steaming hot, freshly prepared, authentic, and extremely flavorful. They also have a booming delivery service for locals. They have multiple options for portion sizes. Look at their menu online at The following are all excellent dishes I’ve had that I would rate 5 stars Generals Chicken Orange Chicken Sesame Chicken Cream cheese & crab rangoons Egg rolls Fried rice Wonton soup — Best I’ve ever had anywhere!

Never been disappointed with the food! I normally don’t like food from the restaurants like this but they are really good. I for one like the dumplings but everything I have had here was really good.

We had been looking for a Chinese food place that wasn’t a chain or bland/cheap. We found this on Unilocal and was relatively close to our house. When we got there the place was very clean and very stylish. The waitstaff is extremely nice and helpful with what is are the popular dishes ordered and what their favorite dishes are. Everything is cooked to order and you can get most dishes cooked your way. The fried rice is awesome!!!

Good Chinese food, usually pretty quick and pretty good prices. Very close to my house and the grocery store I frequent, so we pick up food here a lot. Not much to say about it except that it’s good!

Tried this little place out tonight and definitely wasn’t disappointed. All of the food came out quick and was hot! There were three of us and we all left full. The crab Rangoon is awesome! We ordered the Hunan Combination, Salt and Pepper Shrimp(which I’ll admit I was a little scared of at first because they have the legs… BUT I conquered my fears and tried it) SOGOOD! Also ordered the broccoli in garlic sauce. really good. And the Orange beef! They deliver, but unfortunately I live outside the delivery area. I’m sure ill go back soon! :)

I’ve been coming here for years. I’m pretty picky with my Chinese food and trust me, there are only a handful of restaurants I’d go to. Every place with their own specialty. If you’ve never been here before, they make the best crab rangoon, hot & sour soup, and combination fried rice. My personal favorite is the orange beef with white rice. They also deliver… unfortunately for me, not to my location, but I’ll drive just about anywhere for good food. Very family oriented restaurant. You’ll get hooked the first time.

Ordered the pepper steak and it’s fine, what you would expect from take out. The fried rice is really good BUT ordered chicken chow mein and the chicken has a fish/shrimp taste to it! We’ve ordered from here a few times and I’ve never had chicken that tastes like this… maybe a bad batch. So is it worth it to drive back and have them make me something else? For $ 6.95 I say, «No.» and just throw it out… hopefully avoiding some sort of gastrointestinal episode! I’ll order again, but never chicken.
