Watching Gilmore girls is dangerous. They eat a lot on the show. Always ordering delivery and takeout and everything they eat, I want to eat. On this particular occasion, they mentioned garlic knots and suddenly I had to have them too. So after a quick search on Grubhub, I found this place and ordered my much needed garlic knots and a pepperoni calzone. Delivery was fast but it seemed like they didn’t take much time and care with the food preparation either. The garlic knots were doughy, but not very flavorful. I hardly tasted any garlic in a food item where garlic is the first word in the name. My calzone was flat and underbaked and lacking in cheese. My food craving was unfortunately not met on this night.

OHMYYUMNESS!!! I have to say, since moving to Chicago, my taste buds have been pretty bored. I also order a lot from GrubHub and in the last six months or so the food from all the places I have tried has been absolutely horrible, so I was honestly not expecting to find a DIAMOND among the GrubHub coals! First, my order was made 100% to my specifications. I’m a picky eater, no one has ever met all of my requests to my standards… Until now! Second, food was delivered fast, hot, neat(no spills or tossed around food), and soda was delivered ice cold. Third, the food tastes amazing! The pizza is obviously made with fresh ingredients and does not have that over-processed greasy look. There is a hint of basil, rich and generous cheese, and the tomato sauce does not have that bitter, acidic taste like the canned stuff, it tastes like something your grandma would make, if she was Italian. ;) Finally, the crust is a thin artisan bread cooked to an absolute perfect crispness. The last time I ate a pizza this good I was in Venice, Italy!!! The wings, oh my, the wings… Generous wing sauce and the wings were perfectly cooked! Chicken tasted fresh and I doubt these were ever frozen. The sauce is the perfect combination of hot and tangy(I’m going to save the left-over sauce and cook with it later, yum!). The wings are not heavily breaded and did not taste heavy or fried, which makes me think we have real olive oil at play here people! Bonus: The wings come with fries(yes, you get fries too), but not just any fries, potato wedges! These wedges are thick and the portion generous. Just like the wings, no heavy oil taste or oily fingers. Wedges were crisp, and not a single one was burned. Fresh and tasty just like everything else… I called the restaurant because the food was so good that I had to let them know how satisfied I was(yea, it was that good). I spoke to Joe, an owner, he was super cool, nice, and courteous. So to sum it all up, add awesome customer service, the list of perfection. The only bad thing I have to say… I’m super full :), but looking forward to left-overs later! If you haven’t Two Italians Deli and Pizza, TRYIT, you have no idea what you are missing. If you have tried Two Italians Deli and Pizza before, then you already know! I will defiantly be a repeat customer!!! YUM!

Just tried there pizza and I really liked it. Nice light thin crust. Delivery was very quick. Got their garlic knots and they did not disappoint.
