You don’t realize how much your simple gestures can really make my day that much better, thank YOU Erica. You’re a gem of a person AND barista. :) You always have my tall coffee and refills down to a T. You are quick on your feet, always running Starbucks with a smile on your face; other customers enjoying your enthusiam. Keep spreading the love, miss!

I was here last year and nothing has changed. Wait times and service is horrible. I literally waited 10 minutes for a cup of coffee without an acknowledgment or a sorry. Avoid this place cause they are not used to any customer service skills.

The customer service here is horrid. There was ONE person in front of me. Just ONE. I don’t know if he didn’t know how to order or if the barista was just slow. I waited for 10 minutes. Not even a «hello», no «may I help you?», No «may I take your order?» Not even eye contact! After waiting 10 minutes I left and drove to the one on 79th st. It was ridululous and dissapointing.

This place is a franchise that charges more and delivers poor quality coffee and poor customer service. The coffee and drinks never taste like they do at other Starbucks. I do not recommend.

Terrible customer service. Slow. Ridiculous. Screwed up my order a few days ago. Told me to come in and get it again for free. Came in and they basically Called me a liar. Saying I never called. Despite having call log documented. Manager dismissed me and walked away.

Love this Starbucks. Tucked in a corner of a hotel, it’s cleaner and quieter than the one down the street at 77th and Cicero. Plus you can usually find a comfy chair in the hotel lobby, which is nice and usually not crowded. Only downside is the coffee is a dime or two more expensive.

The limes in my drink were old, not fresh at all. On another visit, my cheese danish was not warmed up, was cold. The staff are not friendly, as they are in a rush. Tips shouldn’t be expected for poor service.

While I love a fresh hot latte while I’m traveling I’ve found this Starbucks to be a weak excuse for a coffee shop. On occasion the staff is nice but usually I get a single grumpy employee who handles both register and coffee duties. Seems like poor scheduling and excessive call-offs or no-shows. I’ve recently started making coffee in my hotel room just to avoid this conveniently placed Starbucks.

You can’t blame the location. It’s in a hotel. Not their fault! If it was down the street people would complain that it isn’t in the hotel! Can’t win. Yes it’s overpriced. It’s Starbucks. Where have you been? A doomsday shelter percolating freeze dried Sanka? Yes they don’t take reward coupons. Blame Starbucks not the location. Any of these located in other businesses do not per some agreement with the parent company. How I rate a coffee shop. Is my coffee good? YES. Was the barista friendly? YES, very. Did I get my coffee quick? YES

Pros: — Situated inside of a hotel, so you can buy your overpriced coffee and sit in the lobby in a much more comfortable chair to drink it — Also because it’s in a hotel, there are a lot of bathrooms and they’re clean — Huge parking lot, which is a bonus for the area — Very close to Midway airport, so you can wait there instead of the cell-phone lot Cons: — Finding it from the street and parking lot is extraordinarily difficult, because it’s inside of the Mariott, which had me circling the area at least five times — Being near Midway, it has that delicious urine-like smell of the area — It’s a Starbucks, which means, ultimately, you’re buying an overpriced coffee — Also, given the amazing technology of the 21st century, Starbucks still hasn’t figured out how to make a vegan PSL

Very convenient location. There’s no Starbucks around that area but I gotta say it is a small one, they open very early everyday but close early too I never knew that until I went one day around 7pm.

I decided to try this location for the relaxing lobby. If the hotel desk is busy I can tell you that the lobby is not relaxing. The wait for a coffee was a bit long as there is only one associate. When I tried to be friendly and show empathy for the staffing situation I was told«You don’t work here, how do you know?» Wow. The parking here isn’t great as you’re fighting with hotel and banquet guests for spots. This on top of bad service and inflated hotel prices makes me say to skip it. There is a drive thru Starbucks just five minutes north on Cicero at 47th street with better service and lower prices.

What I like about this location is that you can grab a coffee and go sit down in the hotel lobby and relax with a friend or even read a book if you’d like. I wouldn’t say this is the best location I’ve ever been to(sometimes their menu selections are limited) and they only usually have one employee working at a time(which is unfair to the employee and customers) but the people who do work there are always very friendly and do a good job.

This has to be the worst Starbucks location ever. Their prices are higher than all other locations, there is only one employee working at at time, including during peak hours. And beware if you use a debit card to pay for your purchase the hotel charges a service fee that the employees don’t tell you about! This place is a joke and poorly managed go to another location.

We were driving around and saw this Starbucks and decided to give it a try. I like how they have outside seating. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms are located in the hotel lobby.

This may be the worst Starbucks location I’ve ever been to. Hidden in an obscure corner of a motel complex behind Midway airport, it’s almost impossible to find with any navigation software. Once you get there, good luck getting any coffee. The hours here are so limited it’s ridiculous. Unless you want your cuppa joe in the middle of the afternoon, don’t bother. And if they’re open don’t expect a table. The interior is cramped and tiny. And the final nail in the coffin: They don’t honor Starbucks rewards coupons. The only thing that could make this Starbucks location any worse would be if an airplane crashed into it.

I have stated in several reviews that i only use starbucks for my poopy while traveling, this is almost exclusively true. On the rare occasion I want a stiff cup of joe by my house and the French press is dirty, I may drive over to the Starbucks in a little gated community I refer to as Hotel hell. When I googled for the address I was surprised it came up Chicago. This is definitely Bedford Park, the glorious industrial park turned small corrupt village. This location is a series of Hotels and chain restaurants that benefit from a tax deal offered by Bedford park. Many tourists and business travelers have the comforts of Duluth Iowa right here in my back yard. Why seek out an authentic mole or perogi on the South side of Chicago when you can stroll across the parking lot into a TGiFridays and get the same shit you cram down your pie hole back home in Humperdink Missouri. Bitter? Yes. This«hotel park» is so fucked up you are not allowed to turn left out of it. Apparently they don’t want any travelers to accidentally discover an Irish Pub or Beef sandwich. This particular Starbucks offers the only«gourmet» coffee nearby in the morning.(There is a coffee house right by my house, but they cater to straight edge hipsters and don’t open until 11.) I come here by default, enough excuses get on with the review Bob! In my visits I have seen rock hard scones that must have been days old, shriveled up muffins. I have discussed this with the help who never lasts more than a month, they are as confused as I am. There is no manager, and there once was a sign explaining complaints need to be routed to the hotel rather than Starbucks corporate. In my most recent visit the young barista was swamped, the many fine tourists were checking out of their hotels on a Sunday morning and this poor lady was alone. The stress was getting to her, she was slamming the blender, staring into the floor to avoid her inner hatred from contaminating the people around her. A young professional couple ahead of me smiled and ordered two venti mocha caramel soy banana skim iced clusterfuck drinks and the barista nearly melted. There was ten people inside, a bus just pulled up, and the good news is the bakery case was full of crumbs so she wouldn’t have to deal with bakery. All I wanted was a black coffee, I new this would be a relief for the woman who no doubt was considering retiring from the hospitality industry. Then, just seconds before I could place my order, she muttered«mother fucker» under her breath, walked around from the counter and into the Hotel lobby. I thought to my self, thats it, she’s gone. This is your big chance Bob, get behind that counter and rock out some frapachino-mocha-caramel-hazelnutty-shittydrinks! Or in the least, pour yourself one gratis! As my imagination and all its infinite possibilities ran wild, she returned with a bunch of bananas in her grasp, dropping one into a blender she poured one, then the other. We looked at each other, each feeling a loss. I ordered, «Grande Coffee please», she spun, poured and took my money. Although I try to avoid Starbucks, I would rather infuse my local economies directly. I will be the first to admit typically they are very well managed entities. This is an exception. If you are just travelling through our fair city, get your coffee at the airport. Or wait til you get into the city, it won’t be long before you see dozens of places to get your caffeine on.
