Honestly I’m giving four stars for their tacos. I have been coming here since I first started high school over eight yrs ago and started coming back since I’m back in school in the area. Honestly the tacos were good back then and they still are. It’s nice to go in and always be greeted by friendly faces. Now u can sit down and eat. My favorite is the AL pastor and steak tacos. Food tastes homemade. I can’t comment on the other food. But when in the area I’m definitely stopping in for my taco fix.

«I have to many deliveries and I can’t find your house. I am not delivering your food.» What! I have never had a delivery driver say that! Wow! We never got our food and they were being difficult with the refund. What a terrible business. Avoid.

They make an amazing burrito! And their sauces are also amazing! Spicy too so be careful. I have had this placed delivered twice and went in once. Delivery and service in their place is great. Very friendly! I highly highly recommend it to anyone who wants a legit, authentic Mexican Food.

When I first heard of Sergio’s, I was skeptical of a place that claimed to be both a taqueria and a pizzaria. For the first few times I ordered, I refused to even look at the Italian side of the menu. The carne asada nachos here are awesome, as are the shrimp fajitas(the shrimp have a small kick to them!). I only eat refried beans if they taste really good, and these ones get finished every time. Today I wasn’t in the mood for Mexican again, but not many places around here deliver before noon on weekdays, so it was Sergio’s again. Their lasagna is actually very good! Comes with plenty of tasty meat sauce and fresh bread. One order is 2 decent sized meals, so I have lunch for tomorrow as well! Norma is always sweet on the phone, and the delivery guys are quick and friendly. Sergio’s is our go-to place for lunch deliveries. I hope to actually make it into the restaurant sometime soon!

This place is not a good place to get your pizza fix, so let me get that out of the way. Great authentic Mexican food, tastes home cooked. I’d recommend getting a burrito. They leave you a choice of two salsas at your table; I’d say try them both and see which you like better. Dining area could be larger. There’s a bar area in the back the seems to be taking up space, considering they do not serve drinks behind it. Also, if you are going to give it a try, avoid after school hours ~4 o’clock, as the place gets crowded with hungry high schoolers on their way home.

I am totally confused by all the«GREATPIZZA!» or «you have to try the XXXXX» reviews on here. I feel bad dumping on a family business but here’s the facts: Dingy, not so clean anywhere, especially the bathroom and not in that charming run-down kind of way. The dining area seems to also be a storage area for random things. The presentation of the food is bad. The food is tasteless ANDALL3OFMYCHILDRENGOTFOODPOISONING as confirmed by their doctor and have been vomiting for the past 2 days on average 1 – 2 times per hour or whenever they try to drink anything. I suspected something was up with this place, ala they are going out of business and are trying to skimp on things like keeping meat past its go bad date. I’ll give an example, the single ply half napkins wrapped around the fork and knife, the reused paper pamphlet menus given to us which had food stains on them and were wrinkled. I wish I could have given a better review as the people working there(assuming the owners) were nice and I didn’t even mind their daughter running around the place and coming up to us while we were eating though that seems pretty bush league when trying to run any sort of shop.

You can get good food anywhere, customer service is KEY. I placed an order through grub hub. An expensive order. I used a coupon, off of Sergios menu, for a free small cheese pizza. I received a phone call AFTER my order had left the restaurant to let me know that I cannot use a coupon when I place my order through grub hub, because the already pay $ 5 for the service. Are you kidding me?! One less customer to worry about losing that $ 5 fee to Sergios. Very bad customer service gets a very review.

Mmm, love the veggie tacos here! Also, the chips & guacamole were pretty good too. I ordered from here because I heard they deliver to the NEIU library and I needed a break from cramming for finals. Honestly, pizza + mexican food + will deliver to my school library so I don’t have to put any effort into having a decent meal = pretty awesome in my book. The prices are pretty budget friendly as well!

I have certainly had much better Mexican food than was served here. Their lengua(beef tongue) was extremely tough and much of their food is very greasy. This execution is sloppy and lacks percision.

A random stop the other afternoon hoping to grab a slice of fresh za. Unfortunately it was day old stuff and though I knew better, I still purchased. Just in case, I decided to order up two tacos as well. Lengue & Milanesa, tacos are $ 1.99 each. It took almost twenty minutes, mostly due to them making the tacos fresh. The tab was just over $ 7 dollars.(I’ve included photos for your pleasure.) I always thought it was a carry out joint. Actually its two storefronts linked and the second area is solely for dining. Pretty nice space actually but best suited for a quick meal kind of like a diner. Sergio’s offers your typical Mexican fare like tacos, tortas, burritos, mariscos(seafood), Mexican dinners, but they aren’t limited to just Mexican food. They also offer salads, pasta platters, burgers, sandwiches and a variety of pizzas and appetizers. So yeah, just like your common diner, trying to serve it all to capture that business. The plus is that it tastes pretty good and the pricing is affordable. i. e a quarter pound burger with fries is as low as $ 5 dollars. I can’t attest to the flavors of the pizza since my slice was pretty old. However, the beef tongue taco was tasty and the beef was perfect. I’ve had bad lengue(elsewhere) where some of the pieces still had the feelers intact and the meat too chewy. Gnarly. This was good. I could see coming back for tacos or trying other Mexican or American favorites in the future.

Great for a quick lunch! Order in quick dinner! Game day food! Pizza party Relative Late night munchies Sergios is a great local stop! Northeastern students appreciate this joint. I can’t even reminber how many times I’ve opted for this place over everythg else around. Excellent pizza, tacos, burritos, yummmmmmy hawaiian torta. Good burgers. Make sure you rock the gaucamole. Also the salsa verde is… Amazing on everything you can think of to put it on! It’s not crazy expensive. This family works hard to give their customer good quality food at an afford price. Woo. Love this place.

Local North Park Mexican place –great prices and good food. I am very particular about my tacos and the portions here are good and they use fresh ingredients that I can taste in the food. The lunch rush is pretty intense with a mix of loud HS students not knowing what to order mucking up the efficiency of getting orders doled out so go before lunch or a little bit after to avoid the mindless teeny-bopper banter. Otherwise, i recommend this mom & pop place for its good food, good prices and nice location.

One of our family favorites. We started coming here because it’s a short ½ a block away from our house. After years of being regular customers, the staff at Sergio’s is practically family to us. I’ve got to admit, we don’t often stray from our order of the Carne Asada burrito dinner so I can’t comment too much on the menu. However, what I can tell you is that we’re never disappointed with our regular order(we literally order Carne Asada burritos on weekly basis… sometimes more often). The service is friendly… you can tell these people are very family oriented. I love that about them!!! This is a clean establishment with plenty of seating. Though we always take to-go(because it’s so close to home), I wouldn’t hesitate to dine in.

I ordered the flautas here like I do at basically any restaurant that offers them. The delivery was quick and the driver was very pleasant. He seemed very gracious for the tip I gave him, even though it wasn’t that much. The food arrived in tact. Normally when I get Mexican delivery, the presence of beans, sour cream, guacamole etc make the flautas mushy. They put everything on the side which was a good idea. The flautas were crunchy and damn delicious. The rice and beans were a little bland but some salt and pepper easily fixed that problem. The guacamole didn’t look very appetizing but it was good! I’ll have to try the pizza next time!

Well today was a big commit a home neatness day, so I was not up for cooking anything or going anywhere. This place is in my neighborhood and I have never ordered from here, so I thought I would give it a try. My order was fairly large because it was going to have to cover lunch for mom and I and supper for mom, Christopher and I. For lunch mom had a torta(ground beef) and a baked potato. Thumbs up on both of them. She does not like beans and rice so was great to have an alternative. I ordered a small Tex-Mex Pizza #1, which is thin crust and has sausage, fresh tomato and jalapeño on it. I really liked it. In my post menopausal dotage, I find my craving for hot food is escalating!!! For dinner I got 2 orders of spaghetti with meat sauce and a small chef’s salad. The salad was very nice, lots of cheese and pepperoni in it. When I first looked at the spaghetti, I thought they were being a little chintzy on the amount, but DANG, the sauce was so meaty and rich that the 3 of us split one order and the salad. It was pretty darn good, better than a lot of the sit-down Italian restaurants in the area that I have eaten at. All in all everything I ordered ranged from solidly good to really good. AND, the best part, I still have a full order of spaghetti and most of my pizza left. The order was well packaged, all the little side things like spaghetti cheese and salad dressing and good bread were included. Delivery was prompt and we are blissfully stuffed.

Great little place run by very friendly folks. The guy who took my order warmly urged me to sit down in their dining room while I waited for my food. He even offered me a glass of water to drink despite the fact that I ordered carryout. I was craving a calzone, so a Unilocal search(thank you Raven M.) led me here. I wasn’t offered a choice of baked or fried – it was fried! That sure is unusual but it worked. I wish that the calzone had more sauce or came with a side of marinara. Otherwise it was damn tasty. The cheese, pepperoni, and green peppers were all great; the dough was a little greasy and crispy as you would expect. As I said, it was light on sauce and maybe a bit heavy on cheese, but the whole package worked overall. I’ll give it a B+. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the calzone is only $ 5.51 including tax.
