Chipotle Mexican Grill

Best Chipotle I’ve been to yet, and trust me I’ve been to several from Atlanta, GA to Hialeah, Fl and now Chicago, Il. I walked in and the crew was energized and ready to take my order, very friendly and professional. Food was delicious, everything on the line looked fresh and properly cut. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend!

This place is very clean but the food is really salty and served lukewarm. I would not waste time or money here when there are so many better restaurants in the area with better prices and higher quality food. The workers are friendly but the place is not comfortable. Seats are stiff and cold and not much seating.

Very unfriendly staff — came in around 9:45 and the staff had already checked out for the night there was no cheese they were out of several items — if your hours are until 10pm you should be ready to serve customers until 10pm — very poor experience which doesn’t usually happen at most chipotles I’ve been to — if you’re looking for a chipotle go to a different one — extremely poorly managed — cleaning up should not be more important than serving customers where I’m from — not the philosophy of this location

Don’t buy the hype of Chipotle’s latest controversies. I truly believe it was corporate sabotage. I love the food mainly for the fact that they offer healthier options such as organic and GMO-​free (or they disclose what contains GMO’s).
Sofritas…which is the organic braised tofu in spices is yummy! Especially considering the fact that I am a meat eater. Their margaritas are pretty awesome too!
Service is fast, friendly and they go out of their way to make your fast food adventures good. Thank you for your hard work.

I placed an order online.
My husband went to go pick it up but called me to tell me that the doors are locked they don’t have power so they aren’t letting anyone in the workers are just sitting there.
I called them… A girl picked up saying «hello?» I said hello… And she still continued saying yes hello… Did Chipotle train their employees to answer the restaurants phone like they would their personal phone? I specifically had to ask if I reached chipotle.
So I told her I placed an order online and my husband showed up but the doors were locked.
She said sorry and that they don’t have power but our orders ready he can pick it up.
How is he supposed to pick it up when he was already there once and nobody even bothered coming to the door asking if they can help him? They just stared from the counter.
Oh we thought he was just a regular customer we didn’t know he ordered online.
How are you going to know when nobody went to ask?
Well we just didn’t know.
Ok so can he come get our food?
Sure just call us when he’s outside and we will open the door.
No… He will just show up in front and knock.

SERIOUSLY? Fucking ridiculous. Bunch of 18 year olds with no courtesy working there.

I stopped in a few weeks ago at this location, after the Pride Parade. I’ve eaten here before and have never had a bad experience.
The food is tasty, service is friendly and the portions/​price ratio is fairly reasonable. The décor is rather industrial and dimly lit, but I don’t usually eat-​in. I do appreciate the option to have a cold beer with my food, when I do. I also like the somewhat healthier food options as well.
I particularly like the option to turn any dish into a salad, for those of us avoiding the extra carbs.
Basically, it is a step up from Taco Bell and a step down from a sit-​down Mexican restaurant. You get what you pay for.

Anyone who gave this place one or two stars are simply wrong. This chipotle is the same as all the other ones… You’re really going to give it only 1 star because you didn’t like the seating accommodations? Boo hoo. Place is great.

A surprising mix of reviews for this location, the closest Chipotle to my house and the one I eat at most often, so I’m going to come to their defense.
To the lady who complained about the seating: Really???
I’ll concede that, with the typical level of staff turnover at a chain restaurant like this, the service can be a bit inconsistent.
But I’ll stick with my long-​term assessment of Chipotle, which is that, setting aside the limited menu, it puts many neighborhood Mexican places to shame.
My fave/​go-​to dish is the carnitas tacos with salsa verde. Reeeeally hits the spot.

2 unsuccessful burrito wrapping attempts left me with a messy unwanted burrito bowl that I paid for.
I vote for a Burrito Wrapping University, because this is the 1^st bad Chipotle experience I’ve had and the staff looked at me like it was my fault they couldn’t wrap a burrito.
Not coming to this location for lunch anymore.

I eat here almost every Monday night with my two boys. It’s the only place that offers a big, healthy meal that feeds the three of us for less than $ 30. The staff are always friendly, and even when there is a long line we are able to move through quickly.
I know another review mentioned the lack of seating. However, I’ve always found by the time we receive our food, someone is leaving.
Finally, I want to mention that I usually enjoy the music they’re playing and with the help of Sharam, we’ve discovered some new music.

We landed here after running more than a few pesky trips around the area.
After navigating the lot from hell, the warm welcome from the staff was just what was needed! The super duper burrito bowl topped it off!
I wanted to inhale the thing– it was so good!
SEATING
While we chewed, drank and enjoyed, a high volume of customers passed through. An equal amount of seating does not exist. There are some high desire 4 tops with chairs (6? in total), many of these were occupied by single patrons. There are an equal number of TALL stool 4 tops. These are unavailable to families with small children and many disabled due to safety issues. They seemed unattractive to single customers. There is a bar located against the front window with fixed SHORT stools (also unavailable to many disabled), some families with small children and seemingly unattractive to single eaters on our visit. ‘ all in all, the seating plan did not appear well thought out.

I’m 2 Months Pregnant & Had A Crave For Chipotle First Thing In The Morning. I Had Just Dropped My Husband Off At Work & This Location Is Close To Home!
I Got There @ 10:50 am, They Didn’t Open Till 11am. So I Sat In The Car! It Was Really Intresting Seeing All The Employees Gathered Around The Counter Just Gossiping & Eating Burrito Bowls!
This One Employee, Walked Out Of Chipotle & Started Staring Me Down & Then Walked Across The Parking Lot, She Did This Twice, Which Made Me Uncomfortable!
Finally, It Was 11, I Seen The Employee Open The Door, I Was The First Customer, Walked In, I Was Greeted By The Guy Who Open The Door. I Went To The Counter, Someone Asked What Would I Like? I Wanted A Steak Burrito Bowl!
So, He Got My Bowl Started, White Rice, Black Beans, And I Had To Wait 5 Minutes For Steak! They Kept Saying Someone Is Going To Cut It Now, They Started Cutting It But It Took Them An Eternity!
The Girl In Charge Of The Meats & Toppings Started Helping Other Customers While Waiting For My Steak! Which I Didn’t Mind, Until She Still Seen My Bowl On The Counter & Me Just Standing There!
She Looked At Me, Turned Around, Put Her Hands Over Her Head And Rolled Her Eyes! I Don’t Know If This Was Towards Me Or Not But I Felt Like It Was! Once My Steak Was Ready She Gave Me Like 5 Freakin’ Cubes & Started Asking What I Wanted On Top In A Really Demanding Way, Just Trying To Rush Me & I Swear I Wanted To Slap Her For Such A Horrible Attitude!
Finally, I Paid 10.02 For This Half Ass Done Burrito Bowl! I Really Didn’t Like The Atmosphere And Will Not Be Coming Back To This Chipotle!!!

I’m a big fan of chipotle! Their food is amazing but this particular one has a awful customer service! The food is all right but the I didn’t enjoy their service! Too bad is the closest to my house!

I’m hoping I can get away with giving this place zero stars (nope, have to give it at least one). The food tastes great (for a Chipotle), the service is good, but man… I’ve been sick for ten days because I, like at least one other reviewer, got food poisoning here. i had almost the exact same thing my girlfriend (who did NOT get sick) had, and I’ve narrowed it down to either the corn salsa or the hot salsa. I also had white rice and pinto beans (she didn’t) but I can’t imagine getting sick from either of those. I really think it was the corn salsa.
I hope the management reads these reviews. Do something about your kitchen hygiene and fix this problem. I’ve eaten at some of the most awful hole-​in-​the-​wall establishments and not gotten sick (La Palapita?), I really didn’t expect something like this from a national chain like Chipotle.

All Chipotles are wonderful, and this is usually where I come for my fix of double steak burrito bowl with black beans, fajita veggies, corn, green, sour cream, cheese, guac, and side chips. BOOM.
I find the staff here to be friendlier than those at locations in the Loop. Plus, the burrito loading zone can get you in and out pretty quickly when you’re picking up food.

This place is packed during the afternoon lunch hour. Employees are in a rush and put 5 pieces of steak in my burrito. I ask for more. Other than the miscommunication from the staff, it’s the same old chipotle location as the rest.

Super impressed with this Chipotle (but I pretty much feel that way about ALL Chipotle locations). I love the food, and the service is always quick. Special shout out to Manager Ruben Medina. I had a buy one burrito /​get one free coupon that had *just* expired. He was cool enough not only to let me use it, but actually gave me another one! We had this great talk about his title («Apprentice» or manager trainee) and Chipotle as a company in general so, on our way out, he gave us another BOGO coupon!
He will make an excellent manager (officially) when he graduates from his «apprentice» program because he knows real customer service. He was super nice. I have never had any issues with the staff or this location. Same great Chipotle service!

I used to be a fan of Chiptole till I went to this one.
It all started when I received a promotion from Chiptole stating a free burrito bowl from likeacoupon. Turned out to be a scam. I brought this coupon to another Chiptole in a different state and they were so rude to me. I still did order that day but guess what, they messed up the order. A few days later I decided that I was fed up I took my issue to corporate. Before I knew it, they responded to me and mailed me 2 coupons for a free burrito or burrito bowl. My fiancé which lives in Chicago insists I used them but since I was heading to Chicago, I decided to keep them for us since we both love Chiptole.
When i came to use these coupons at this location, the service was quick and very nice. My fiancé ordered a chicken bowl and I ordered a steak bowl. I only have a week to spend with her since I live in a different state.
Later that night she woke up and got very ill. a few hours later I also got ill but not as bad as her. me and her were sick for 2 days and literally ruined our time together.
Shortly after we became better, snow storm after snowstorm came.
So I blame chiptole for ruining part of my trip. We both had a case of food poisoning. The only reason I was also ill is because I ate part of her bowl. The service was great so I don’t blame that but I can see that Chiptole has risen their prices in the past couple months, but quality has went down. I will not only never eat at this Chiptole again, but NEVER eat at any Chiptole again since this memory we always be with me and my fiancé.

First impression… to wash my hands before handling my meal.
Mens Bathroom — HORRIBLE! Made me want to leave… but I was famished and unfamiliar with the area/​neighborhood, so I sucked it up!
Second Impression… The counter customer service — STELLAR!,
The employees all, accommodated my foodie requests, with a smile and sincerity.

I must admit that when I found out that a Chipotle was opening within a block of home, I was very disappointed. I have never liked the food at Chipotle. There are so many wonderful Mexican restaurants in Chicago. I get the fast food experience thing, but when I think of Chipotle, I think of gooey glops of slop piled on a tortilla. There is no flavor or quality to it at all.
Well, I broke down and decided to give this one a try because it is a new neighbor. My mistake. I got 3 tacos and an order of guacamole to go. Mom Christopher and I each had a taco. They were dreadful. The steak was fatty and flavorless. The other toppings were awful as well. Mom threw hers out, which she never does, but said she just could not eat it. The guacamole wasn’t too bad, but the chips were almost sour tasting.
Although I shall NEVER return, I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because I do like that they buy pasture raised beef, etc. I just wish I didn’t feel like there were pasture patties included in the food. For those of you who like this sort of food, this is the sort of food you like. Enjoy!
