All I have to say is one name, Mitchell! At least I think that’s his name… anyway came here with a couple of buddies and sat at the bar to get some drinks and watch the game. This was my first time going to Replay in Andersonville vs. Boystown and this location is really spacious, which is great. All of the bartenders we’re really cool and attentive(3 of them asked me if I wanted a drink) but Mitchell stood out, he’s hunky(god I hope that’s his name). I was a bit tipsy(no judgment queens, its a bar after all). Anyway I had a great experience, the game was going on, it felt lively for a Sunday night and I’ll definitely come back to try out the food since I heard it was good. Thanks for the fun night boys!

This is a really fun spot to go for a game, chill date, or to bring visitors from small midwestern towns that have never seen video games inside of a bar before! The only drawback is Replay does get a bit crowded at those peak times. The first time we went, we took friends from out of town on a Saturday afternoon and it was the perfect pre-dinner spot to grab a beer and play some video games. Just last week we had their food for the first time and it was GREAT. I ordered the pesto chicken wrap with fries, and the BF had the ruben with tots. Both were great. You get quite a bit of food for the money as well, and I ended up taking half of my wrap for lunch the next day. The BF’s ONE complaint was that the tots were a bit on the salty side, so if you’re sensitive to that you might want to mention it to the server. I love that they have a ton of beer on tap that seems to change over every couple of weeks or so as well. I can’t wait to sample their brunch. Highly recommend!

Great place to watch a game! Big TVs everywhere!!! pretty good beer selection. Food was just ok. We had nachos first that were just ok. The chips were great. Then we had fried pickles that were just an epic fail. Never had fried pickles cut length wise. Nor ever had them breaded w corn meal. The breaking came off leaving you w this big piece of pickle. Not very good. The arcade games were great! Great whiskey menu. I will return but probably not to eat.

At first, the front was a little overwhelming because there was so many people, also being given a wait time of 35 min for a table, but then we realized we would much rather be at a place where people wanna be(which it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves). The place was also a little tight as far as tables but maybe they wanted us to make friends with the table next to us haha Girl behind the bar was seriously killin it!!! And our server(can’t remember his name) wore a hat but he was super smiley On to the food, the nachos were kind of hard to eat, nice that there was a mound of goods on top but also nothing when you get to the bottom, just the chips. And the Cubano was such a good recommendation!!! Almost instantly fell in love with the sand which. Will I be back? Yes please!

So I finally tried the food a month ago, and since I liked it, I’ll give them that coveted 4th star. The pork and beef burger patty is grinded in house(according to the server myself and my friend had), and I really enjoyed that burger a lot. I’m oddly forgetting what my friend ordered at the moment, but it was also good. Only thing for the most part I still don’t like is their policy of charging for the pinball games while keeping the rest of the games free, which I confirmed after talking to an employee here. Or maybe they could borrow a page from Logan Arcade, and make those games free like 1 day a month? Otherwise, I’m a fan for the most part, despite it not having the number of games either location of Headquarters, Emporium Wicker Park, or Logan Arcade has.

A great addition to the neighborhood. Free arcade games. Good food menu with enough basics and some unique items. Great beer list. I like that you can go in and just have drinks and stand near the games or you can head in for dinner and sit down. The staff seems overwhelmed at times and bartenders can’t always give you lots attention, but my only beef is that they seem just plain unhappy to be there a couple times I have been in. I have only had the fried pickles and a reuben but both were tasty and solid choices!

I was honestly hesitant as I had heard they were extremely pricey and they seemed a bit too«hipster bar.» But we wanted to try something different for brunch one day and decided to give it a shot. Glad we did. The wait wasn’t too bad(with games to amuse us while we waited), the service was excellent(a mistake in the order was caught by the waiter the minute it was served), the prices were decent and the food was excellent. Yeah, they’re a little hipster, but not in an overwhelming, cloying, twee way. Just enough for personality. We’ll be back.

This place is really fun. Free popcorn while you play their free games? Yes please! The food is slightly better than bar food. I had the Ruben and it was okay but the appetizer I had was fried pickles. They were great! The staff was super friendly to us and we’re quick to get our beers despite it being super busy.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and being a huge Bruins fan, he needed a place to watch the Winter Classic on New Years Day. We asked for recommendations from our hosts on a place nearby and they suggested Replay. The place was filled with arcade games and there were a bunch of TVs to watch different games on(I was interested in the OSU v. Notre Dame game). We ordered some food and drinks, both were great. It was pretty crowded being a holiday, but overall, was a good choice to enjoy the day in Andersonville. PS — I apologize to the staff and the people sitting near us as my husband yelled at the TV(the Bruins did lose :(, hence the yelling).

They got it together! Just ate here for the second time and was totally impressed with the service, the menu and the taste of everything. Nice job Replay! We will be back for more. The food was hot and the drinks were cold and well made. Elixir is next on the list… I wish the restaurant a very successful life in Andersonville. YUMM!

Very excited to update this review! After my two star review a month or so ago, the owner, Mark, invited us back to experience Replay again. Our service was a 180 from last time. Our server(I wish I remembered his name, please Mark, give this guy a pat on the back!), went above and beyond for us. The food was great. Cooked to order this time. We split the nachos(seriously…maybe the best thing on the menu), my boyfriend had a burger, I had the grilled chicken sandwich. We enjoyed food, drinks and(free!!) old school arcade games, and based on the experience we had tonight, I’d recommend anyone in the Andersonville area to stop in. Can’t wait to give their brunch a try!

A cool bar that has unlimited free play arcade games. The games are mostly from the previous decade, but some are still really fun. As for drinks, the cocktails were nothing special, but they have a lot of craft beer selection. They also have some really interesting flavor infused shots which they claim that its just soaked in fruits/flavors for a long time to make the shots taste that way.

Went here to try Sunday brunch. It was OK, though I think a few of my nearby favorites have far, far, FAR superior food. The menu items looked promising, but this is Denny’s style food, not unlike Mary’s, their neighbor to the north. I could see this being a nice choice during summer, with the front windows open, etc. I don’t give a rat’s rump about games but my dining companions oohed and ahhed at the choices. Lots of 80s and 90s nostalgia.

Tried Replay again for brunch a few weeks ago and am happy to report back, kinks are fixed, food is spot-on and overall, this is a wonderful little addition to the Clark St. Andersonville scene.

Fast service with spot on wait staff. Great food: we had nachos and burger. Yum! Fantastic beer selection and free arcade gaming. Great concept and execution! Looking forward to next time I can suggest we stop by. Perfect for a weekend afternoon or a fun date.

My impression from any of the positive reviews here is that the reviewers have never been to any of the(far superior) barcades in Chicago. While indeed most of the games here are free, pinball costs a dollar and the selection of games in general is incredibly limited compared to similar concepts. My real issue is the fact that I came in to check this space out on a weeknight, and there were literally four other customers in the place, and we sat at the bar for what seemed like forever(probably 20 minutes in reality) before the bartender even pretended to notice us. He was clearly too busy talking with one particular customer to even bother greeting us. Once we finally were greeted and given a menu, we waited another 15 minutes while the bartender completely ignored us, and eventually *left to smoke a cigarette*. Right in front of the building. While we were waiting. He didn’t even bother sneaking out the back. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. How am I supposed to support a new local business when their employees literally refuse to take my money? The bartender walking out the door before even taking our order was definitely enough to encourage us to do the same. We won’t be back.

This was by far the worst 44th B-Day experience. The only good thing about this experience was the fast seating for a party of 6 with 1 additional guest. In short, I lost 3 of my week days with food poisoning. I have filed a complaint with CCDPH and provided them with a list of the guests in attendance. The problems: 1. We sat about 30min without being waited on by a server. The server, we thought would wait on our table waited on the table behind us, that arrive about 15 minutes after we were seated. The table behind us was all men, while our table was all women. I don’t know if this had something to do with the crappy food or service we received but, we did notice they were ALL drinking and eating their meals almost immediately after being seated by the host. 2.We finally asked a random server, if we could please place our order. A server was finally assigned to our table and began to take our order. That is, until I asked about an item on the menu, and the server didn’t know how to describe the preparation of the item excusing himself never to return. 3. After our waiter never returned, and completely frustrated and hungry, I went to manager and explained what happened. I told him, we have been waiting forever, and the server that finally waited on us disappeared after asking a question about a menu item never to return. The manager said he would take care of things. I went back to the table to wait. 4. The same server came back and completed our order and never did answer the question about the item menu – Go Figure! Several minutes passed after he took our order, and again, I went to the manager and asked where our drinks and appetizers were. At this point mind you, we didn’t even have the basics WATER on the table and two people were missing cutlery. The manager said he would take care things again. I went back to the table to wait. 5.SURPRISE — A new server arrived at our table without our pre-ordered drinks or appetizers. He told us that he would be replacing our server and would need to take our order. Felling like I was in the twilight zone, I said, «um, we already ordered with the previous server and we have been waiting a very long time». He seemed confused; why does that surprise me. He apologized and left us all sitting at the table wondering what was going on. I was ready to leave and go to Calo Ristorante across the street. My friends said to give the place a chance. Unfortunately, we stayed making the most of the bad service. 6. Moving on – About 10 minutes after the new server left us, he returned to our table with our drinks. The drinks were incorrect and so they needed to remake two. 7. Finally, our appetizers arrived, and the drinks issues were resolved– Yippie!!! The main meals came shortly after the drinks and appetizers. 8. More problems– Go figure! My order was improperly made; the manager was called over again, and the food was sent back to the kitchen. My friend, ordered a simple burger MED — she received a burger that was way under-cooked and bright red. She had to eat around the uncooked meat. The manager was notified again, he said he would speak to the cook about the problem. The sad part about this entire ordeal is that the manager did not comp her burger after seeing the food preparation; nor, did he comp my meal considering all that had occurred. Instead, the manager offered ME one free drink, and a free birthday moose. I guess asking me what item I would have liked was not in the cards. 9. Sadly, the initial bill for dinner was around $ 220 including 20% tip. I know, I don’t know why I gave the server a reasonable tip considering the service and such. The second bill was for only drinks, and it was about $ 130.00 including tip(approximately that amount). Some b-day party! In closing, this was the first time we were at this establishment– that is 7 guests that live in ANDERSONVILLE, that will most likely never be back. If you are a woman(gay or straight) and are visiting in a large group; be forwarded, women are NOT wanted(my opinion and personal experience). This lesson was expensive, not to mention, I lost out on THREE days of my week from food poisoning. So you do the math– Thanks Replay, for the free beverage and chocolate moose — This is a birthday I will NEVER forget.

We went for brunch last Sunday. It’s a cool, fun place with indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of TVs to watch sports, but as others have said, they have some kinks to work out. We waited a crazy long time for our food, and when it finally came, mine was cold. We sent it back and they ended up discounting our bill, which was really nice. The food was pretty good — Replay Benedict was okay, but the bacon sausage wasn’t as exciting as I had hoped, and the mustard hollandaise was kind of overpowering. It came with red potatoes(very good) and a random English muffin with nothing on it or with it. The bacon waffle was awesome, however. Really interesting flavors, loved the butter(can’t remember what kind, but it was awesome). Lots of perfectly cooked bacon included. We actually tried going back later on Sunday to watch the 7:30pm football game, and they were out of almost everything, so we left. We will give them another shot in a month or so. The place has a great concept and lots of potential.
