This location recently re-opened, and my understanding is that it’s under new ownership. The first time I visited, the owner asked me to fill out a comment card about the service, which was spectacular. I told her that I’d take it with me and mail it back to the restaurant, since I was heading into a business call at the time. Imagine my amazement when I received a personalized thank-you note from the owner about a week after I’d mailed my comment card! I’ve received lesser service at restaurants that charge five times what Quiznos does for lunch– LOL! I’ve been to this location 3 or 4 times since then, and each time I’ve received 4-star or 5-star service. It’s clear that they’re trying to differentiate themselves from other businesses in the area that don’t take customer service as seriously. By neighborhood standards, parking’s also pretty convenient– with metered street parking on Halsted and an inexpensive parking garage just around the corner on Maxwell. For all of these reasons, I give this Quiznos location my highest rating.

As much as I like Quiznos the service experience wasn’t that great. I felt as if I woke them up at 3 in the morning and I forced them to make me a sandwich. But the food was great!

Small portions of meat, Horrible parking,=Boooo! Great sandwich, tasty Parmesan garlic bread, clean restaurant=Yaaaay! I’ll stick with boring Subway-which I thought gave small meat portions until I tried Quiznos.

The service here is not friendly! From the sandwich maker to the money taker, I was greeted with nothing but sourpuss faces and eye rolling as I placed my order and paid. Unfriendly service aside, my Mesquite Chicken sandwich was pretty darn good. I love that warm toasty crunch of an oven toasted submarine. I also couldn’t pass up the chance to add some banana peppers to my ‘wich at the free pepper bar which is complete with pickles, pepperoncini, banana peppers, jalapeño and savory sandwich sauces. Here’s a first for me, I ordered a fountain soda and encountered my very first TOUCHSCREEN self-serve soda machine! I was blown away at how cool it was, I must live a sheltered life to have gotten so excited over the soda machine. It was loaded with the basic Coke products and their diet counterparts. I selected Diet Mountain Dew. The next screen blew me even farther away, flavor shots! Grape, Orange, Lemon, Lime or how about a Raspberry Mountain Dew? Having over 100+ different flavor options can be a little overwhelming. Good service is the biggest thing this location lacks.

No stars for service. Too bad b/c I like Quizno’s— just not this one. I ordered the double cheesesteak sandwich. After it went thru the toaster the guy flopped on a tray & tried to serve it to me. I ask nicely, «can I have some lettuce & tomato on it, please.» Sandwich-maker says, «you can get lettuce but tomato costs extra. You still want it?» I wanted to yell HELLFUCKNO… But I didn’t. But I’m pretty sure my face did. I just said«no.» Then the cashier asks me, «do u want anything else?» I say«no, can I just get a cup for water?» This one says, «we don’t give out water. If u would like water, you can purchase a bottle for $ 1.xx.» WTFlyingF?! Are you serious?! Oh, they were serious. I should have walked out & not bought anything but(goddamit) I have a final exam tomorrow morning & haven’t eaten all day & drank a latte from Caribou on an empty stomach so.,. I HAD to eat something quick. Needless to say, this is the exact kind of senseless, extremely terrible service that ruins dinners. Whatever it’s fast food right. Go Quizno’s Maxwell & Halsted for perpetuating that image. Ridiculous. Better luck at Subway where I can get it «MYWAY» and avoid water nazis.

I’m not sure why this is the very first time ever that I’ve tried a Quizno’s sandwich, but I absolutely loved it! Probably my favorite sandwich place out of all its peers! The veggie sandwich on wheat is ‘my’ sandwich now! I do wish they would expand some more downtown to make their sandwiches more accessible!

I thought I’d surely be the first reviewer here, as only I am bored enough to review a Quiznos… although apparently that’s not the case. Quiznos is indeed better than Subway, I don’t think anyone could argue that. I mean Subway gets their meat from where? I always imagined that there was a huge city-sized freezer filled with 1950s era military surplus meat that Subways are supplied from. And much like fossil fuels, one day Subway will run out of meat. I digress… back to Quiznos. My main issue with Quiznos is the fact there is no cold sandwich option. The patented talking ovens of theirs(watch recent commercials, they now can talk) are only capable of warming the bread and the edges of the meat. So usually you have warm bread, luke warm meat, and warm lettuce as a result of the warm bread. And let me tell you, I am VERY anti warm lettuce. At least Subway despite their sub-par meat has the hot and cold option. Maybe their convection ovens don’t talk, but still that choice is there. So I’m not sure if it was the talking ovens or what that led me in, but I found myself desperate to try this $ 4 torpedo sandwich. I’ve always liked sandwiches on long skinny bread… call me crazy. So I went in and had the Italian, and low and behold it was pretty good. Sure the lettuce was warm by the time that I got it home, but I found it relatively easy to remove on so skinny a sandwich. I liked it well enough to eat it a second time in the store, and it was decidedly better. The verdict: try the Italian torpedo. It’s pretty good. Is this Quiznos better than other locations? Oh heck, I dunno, it was clean and the people were nice enough and it’s the closest to my place…

Quiznos sandwiches are pretty darn good. My favorite is the Italian sandwich, on wheat, no olives and no onions. We can’t go through the day with yucky onion breath, now can we? This particular Quiznos offers fast service and friendly staff. Ask them to warm up your chocolate chip cookie and they’ll run it through the toaster which makes the cookie very soft and the chocolate gooey. Yum!

Quizno’s tastes better than Subway, hands down. Never mind that it’s so fattening! Mmm… toasted.

This is by far the cleanest and most friendly Quiznos that I’ve ever been to. I didn’t feel like I was at a fast food restaurant, and the cashier(maybe the owner) actually took a moment to chat with us as we were waiting for our food. Very friendly. Very clean. Well stocked. Unlike any other Quiznos, for sure! This place may well deserve five stars, but I’m(unfairly) subtracting one star because of my general experiences at other Quiznos locations. Sorry, Halsted Quiznos! Keep up the good work!
