Caribou Coffee was good. I miss it. I liked their coffee and tea.

Definitely closed… will be reopening in the fall as a Peet’s Coffee and Tea. Fingers crossed they keep the nice patio tables :)

Looks closed; papers on the windows. It’s going to be a rough morning. It was a cozy respite in the winter, with the fireplace. I hope another coffee place replaces it.

It’s a pretty cute place. I came here to chill and chat with a friend. At first, the place seems to be filled, but apparently over by a corner there is an extension with a few small tables. If you were to be the only person/group there, it will be quite quite. I like how they have couches. Wasn’t able to get one, but they look comfy enough I guess. So I ordered a caramel latte with soy. I asked if I can have it in a mug. Surprisingly, they do. So if you are in the neighborhood or a UIC student, give this place a shot. It’s better than the 30 second Dunkin Donut coffee at UIC(sce).

A caribou left on the planet. Drove miles just yo get a Turtle Mocha! Peets is on it’s way. Great barista.

Friendly clean environment. I typically roll in to grab a medium berry white mocha. The place is consistent and I appreciate that.

This place is so dirty and gross-I don’t think they have cleaned in years! Seriously, How are they even open? I love caribou coffee but not this location-yuck! The restrooms are gross, there is a pile of dust accumulating on the ledge. The restaurant’s wood is so beat up and needs to be refinished. Pictures that once hung on the wall are missing and light bulbs are out. The staff is pretty unprofessional and only care about themselves. A complete downgrade from what it once was. I know students populate this one and don’t care as much — but others do! and everyone notices that you don’t have glass in the doors to your kitchen — ghetto much?

NIce coffe, great environment to get work done, or catch up with an old friend. I like how they put the chocolate covered coffee bean on top of your cup. Nice touch. Very clean, and I like the ambiance. Cozy at night.

What can I say, Caribou out does Starbucks in flavor, product selection, price, customer service and environment! Yay, Caribou!

The customer service was great. It is also a good spot to get work done. However, since this review is based off of the quality of product, I’d have to give it 3 stars. I’ve had much better coffee, period.

Chain or not, this feels like a community coffee shop. It is cleaner than Starbucks. It has more comfortable seating than Starbucks and the baristas are super nice. The coffee beans here are also eco-friendly(100% Rainforest Alliance). And even if you don’t care, Caribou brew is rated far better than Starbuck’s(see for their new blend«Starlight.») Bring your own mug — save 50 cents. Get a store mug and answer the trivia question of the day — save 20 cents. Also, a free refill on coffee!

They have a new breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon, egg whites and avocado that is perfect for those days when I miss breakfast at home. This location seems to be really on the ball, i can get in get a coffee and sandwich and get out without having to pay for parking.

I’m only giving this a 3 because of the price. If I can get a large iced coffee in the heart of the loop from Starbucks for around $ 2, there’s no reason I should be paying this dough for iced flavored water.

If only parking were easier this would be my go-to Caribou. Lots of power strips and outlets, nice staff, bright and inviting. The crowd is also a lot cooler than the deuchebaggy Lakeview yuppies or the obnoxious suburban screaming families. Its the absolute perfect, calm blend of people and you can actual hear yourself think without hearing«Mommy, mommy!» or «I only eat vegan, and George Bush is dumb». I digress. If you want to know the«good caribou» in Chicago — its this one.

I have been in the neighborhood for 8 years and this location has always catered wonderfully to its population which has ever been changing. From students, to loft and condo owners, passerby, residents from bridgeport and chinatown, they are always welcomed at Caribou. Its surely not overpriced like Starbuck’s and the coffee is great. Wonderful service and always a smile at the counter. Thanks for staying with us as port of the neighborhood.

Oh how I love their berry mochas… But this place’s service is a little slow. But other than that, it’s a nice place to study or to get a quick coffee to go. Wouldn’t recommend it for a lounge area though; they don’t have the couches(just 2, and not really inviting looking) and cute bear foot rests like most Caribou’s have.

I love Caribou — they have a good coffee selection and great day-to-day roasts. Many tasty and enticing beverages to suit all tastes, warm and cold. I love this location specifically because it’s geared toward college students. It’s a great place to go study or chat with a group of friends. In summer, the outdoor seating area is great and in winter the cozy fireplace area is A+. If you’re not a student, no problem. Still a very friendly non-UIC environment; the staff makes you feel welcome and even remember you if you’re a regular.
