Only if I have to eat here! My bf dragged me in here and all I can say is that I would have been better off eating somewhere else. The hummus tasted like an ashtray and the falafel wasn’t all that great. I think if you work next to here and you’re starving(and like the taste of ashtray), sure… Otherwise, I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

Horrible, horrible, horrible middle eastern food. It’s cheap and you get a lot of food but it’s horrible, horrible, horrible. Please, walk a little further and go to Taza, or oasis or anywhere. The meat is dry, and the falafels old and bland. I haven’t been there in years but the only thing that looked decent was the turkey.

I was here a few weeks ago with friends to pick up an order. I really like middle eastern food and have wanted to try this place so my expectations were rather high. Unfortunately they were not met and left me very disappointed. I had the chicken kabob lunch special which consisted of decent rice and two chicken skewers. The chicken was dry and there were two pieces of vegetables on each kabob. So I suppose that was the«chicken and vegetable» option. Interesting. The menu says it comes with a side salad(bagged lettuce, no dressing), falafel(dry, boring), humus(consistency of soup and too much lemon) and a pita(appeared store bought). Also we were supposed to get a soda with this order which they left out. Wrong. My friend had the falafel sandwich which should have been labeled Jerusalem salad and lettuce sandwich with half dry, crumbly falafel. So disappointed by this for sure. I would not go back for food. The berry smoothie was good but nothing special. People who work here are lovely and really nice.

This is a great place to go in the loop for a satifying, filling and cheap meal. I love the falafel sandwich and the salmon entrée. The rice is SO good. The hummus is a little bland though. I’ve heard that the turkey is really good. I always take my food to go but there are a few tables. There is something slightly«grimy» about this location but the food always seems well prepared and tasty. I had the lentil soup once and it was terrible — super oily! But other than that I do go here fairly often. A shout out to the staff who are very friendly and even gave me free baklava!

Haifa Café is a decent place to grab lunch in the area. The services is very quick and friendly. I had the falafel and a side of humus, which I don’t think I will be getting again. I really like the falafel but the humus was very bland. I think next time I will try the rice. The major plus of this place is the cost, you can get lunch in the loop for $ 6. The place can be a little small so it’s not the best place for large groups but it’s good for a few people.

No complaints about Haifa Café. Had the turkey sandwich, a lot like Jaffa Bakery in 201 N. Clark or the Bonjour Café on the first floor of the Thompson Center. I also had the hummus, that comes with duely pieces of pita bread… props for that, hummus was decent. Definitely not the best and unsure if I would expend the XL’s on it again but glad I tried it. Total coming to $ 7.70 not a bad price for what I got, Haifa you were good but I’m going to stick to Taza… sorry.

The four Haifa Cafes are my favorite places to eat in the loop, bar none. I get all my friends who work or study there addicted to this inexpensive, tasty, healthy food, with my favorite humus in town. Only complaint: They close soon after lunch and aren’t open for dinner! This one is my personal favorite, though it just moved from a teeny bit further south.
