I can now vouch for their repairs. I had an article of clothing that had torn and they were able to repair it next day. Did a great job too!

BESTEVER! East Lakeview residents, come here for all your dry cleaning needs! The woman here has, literally, saved my(and the bf’s) life repeatedly in the past 6 months. Do you know how many weddings, interviews and parties weI’ve had to attend in 2012?! ALOT of them. That’s equates to a hefty dry cleaning bill. No matter how many times I frantically drop off a dress or any article of clothing, the woman always greets me with a smile.(Although, to be honest, I think it took a little bit of time for her to warm up to me… er…us.) They always do a GREAT job(dry cleaning, tailoring, patching up rips… everything.) If you ask nicely, she’ll even try to have it ready when you’re in a bind. LIterally, the best. Love, love, love this place!

This breaks my heart to even write a review so terrible because my first interactions with Joyce were so lovely. I cannot speak to the dry cleaning ability at this facility, my review is strictly regarding alterations. I took a chiffon Banana Republic dress in to have the waist shortened. I returned a week later to pick it up, and the bodice was too tight, and the uneven seams from the alterations were showing through. I asked Joyce to fix this and she said a new zipper would be needed. That was no problem, so I came back a week later. She informed me that the closest color to my yellow dress available was an orange color. The dress is not a strange shade, just your run of the mill yellow. I said I couldn’t accept a color so far off from the dress, and she asked me to come back in another week. I did, and the zipper was put in. The orange one. On top of that, all of the alteration work was done in that same orange color, so now what should be a empire greek goddess kind of dress has a strange orange stain-looking seam under the bust and zipping it up. I am so extremely sad. I loved this dress and it is now something I would only wear to casual functions. This cost me nearly 40 dollars and the dress is in far worse shape than upon arrival. I have never reviewed anything on Unilocal before but this experience was truly the poorest I have had since moving to Chicago. I will also add that I had a a jacket altered as well and all was fine on that front. Good luck shoppers.

I’ve never really felt any sense of loyalty to a dry cleaner, but this place is amazing — They do a great job, they don’t examine and drill you on every piece of clothing(like Barry Regent), and the prices are great. But more than anything, the best customer service! I went in this week with 5 or 6 items plus a suit that I desperately needed cleaned by the next day. She agreed to get the suit done and have the other items ready in a few days. When I went in yesterday to pick up my suit, she told me to just pay for it with my other clothes when I got those which was completely unexpected. THAT is great customer service! Getting ready to move a little farther away soon, but I’m still going to go to Dan’s!

Always on time and they’ve never damaged any of my clothes. My two main requirements in a dry cleaner. The owner also did a nice job repairing a zipper in my winter jacket.

I spend a lot of time in Chicago, and I refuse to go to any other cleaners. The facility is very clean and Joyce does an excellent job with alterations. I recommend Joyce to all my friends to get pants hemmed because she has an awesome way of hemming where the it doesnt seem like she cut any of the fabric off. They are very detail oriented.

I love this place. Your standard friendly neighborhood cleaner. Joyce is my go-to girl for hemming pants, fixing tears and of course, stain removal. I switched to Dan’s after Barry Regent wrote my last name in permanent ink on the inside of all my husband’s dress shirts.
