I’ve had several pants hemmed here-dress pants and denim. The owner was always there and she is GOOD and the price is not bad. I paid $ 10 per pair. Ask for a regular hem on jeans, otherwise she charges a lot more for an original hem(also called a European hem or a tricky hem, it maintains the jean’s hem). I gave her a big project last week and she is a genius. I bought a super cute dress online and could not return it was on clearance. Unfortunately the top was way too small. It took her a week and she charged $ 28, hey I bought a $ 200 dress for $ 25 bucks, I was determined to make it fit. The dress was made for someone with an A cup and let’s just say I’m way bigger than that. I am so happy with the way my dress fits. :)

Great at alterations. Quick service. Lady(owner?) is very helpful and forthcoming about what can and cannot be altered. And, most importantly they accept credit cards. Credit cards.

I came here because its close to where I live and all the good reviews on Unilocal.I had 2 dresses dry cleaned. One dress was an expensive strapless dress. I noticed when I got it back that instead of hanging the dress on the hanger with its straps that it comes with inside(girls know what I’m talking about!), the woman safety pinned the dress TO the hanger!!! It wasn’t even pinned from the inside, it was like pinned through the whole dress on top and now I have holes and loose pulled threads of fabric from where the safety pins were. WHY wouldn’t you just use the straps that are given to be used to hang the dress??! You work with clothes everyday, you would THINK someone would know what those were for and how to use them. I AMSOMAD.

It’s always hard to pick a cleaners because there are so many of them and a big difference in prices. This place is cheap and they do good work. I had a few dress pants taken up here and they did an excellent job. It took a week to finish but was only a few dollars compared to like 20 bucks at another cleaner I tried. The lady there is so nice too.

Cheap! Really, really cheap! I got one pair of pants dry cleaned and another shortened… for a measly $ 12! I was shocked. I literally couldn’t stop talking about how cheap it was for like half an hour, my boyfriend was definitely getting annoyed. My old tailor would charge about $ 20 for one pair of pants… her prices seemed to fluctuate with how expensive the pants I brought in were… Anyway, they were very friendly, did a great job, had the pants done when they said they were, oh and did I mention… it’s cheap!

I like this place. The lady complimented my nose stud the first time I went in. It was ‘special’. I used to get dry cleaning all the time there and have gotten alterations too. No complaints. Always done on time!

This is still the best dry-cleaners I have used in Chicago. Lived in Lakeview for 4 years and have yet to find someone that does as good a job for the price(locations in Old Town suck and Ukvillage are expensive). The tailoring here is awesome; fiancé has had pants re-sized, I have trusted them with suit coats etc. Pricing is the best I have found. We drove all the way over there from Ukranian Village this weekend to take in alterations and get some clothes cleaned. The woman remember us even though it had been over a year.

This is your standard dry cleaners. A very convenient place to get all your dry cleaning done. They also have express service, which is convenient because you can get your dry cleaning done while you shop, eat, or run errands in the area.
