Ok, the service is super and the food is pretty good, especially the seasoned fries and the Cajun chicken, but gosh this place needs a new floor ceiling and paint. The old girl is just worn out and the atmosphere is a bit depressing. The table and chairs are worn and scratched. They need a visit from Michael Irving.

I ate at Krieger’s on a Monday night with 2 other people. All three of us ordered hamburgers and French fries. Everything was good but not exceptional. I ordered my burger medium and it was most definitely well done. I didn’t complain but would have enjoyed it much more had it been a little pinker. The service could be friendlier and a little more attentive. We never got drink refills. I would come back if other people chose it, as was the case this evening, but would not choose it on my own.

Wings were underdone. Pasta undercooked. Mac and cheese was nothing like the description on the menu. Broccoli had no flavor whatsoever. Subpar service. $ 41 later… still hungry. Our server didn’t ask if anything was ok or I’d have informed them. The restaurant isn’t busy at all. Can’t find a reason for the poor food and service. Really disappointing visit. Won’t return.

I was disappointed somewhat. I have drive past this place for 18 months and decided to drop in on a Saturday for lunch a few weeks ago. The bar tender recommended the chimichanga which was touted to be made with tinga(shredded Mexican chicken). I was excited that someone was really cooking here. It came out and was till frozen in the middle. Oh well, so much for someone doing more than throwing a pre-made frozen hunk into the fryer. It was not made with tinga. the chicken was in chunks mixed with neon orange cheese. All in all it was ok. But the real kicker was I got charge $ 8.50 for a pint of beer.

If you want a great neighborhood sports bar experience, you can’t beat Kriegers. Great wings, burgers and expansive menu Bartender David strikes the perfect tone, witty, quick with a drink, and will give you an ice cold bottle of beer for $ 2.50. Cant beat it.

Ordered the A1 Peppercorn burger well done and Fried Chicken salad. What I got was totally different from their menu description. The salad was lacking diced eggs, romaine lettuce and was very small for the $ 11 I was charged. The burger was undercooked and was lacking the A1 peppercorn sauce. When I called back the manager said I could have a complimentary salad on our next visit. You all know when that will be.

This has been one of my family’s «go to» restaurants for close to 10 years. Food here is always between good and excellent, service is normally first-rate, and you rarely have to wait for a table. I’ve seen a number of reviews talking about kids in the place and I totally understand how that can be a turnoff for some people. However, when my kids were younger they ate free at Kriegers and that made the place much more attractive to people like me, hence all the kids in the place. The food here is very good bar food. Tremendous burgers and other sandwiches, salads, and more, shall we say, formal dishes as well. And they have amazingly delicious seasoned fries that are bottomless with sandwiches. I’m ashamed to say I’ve taken them up on refills more times that I care to admit. Great variety for anyone along with a great variety of adult beverages and different happy hour specials depending on the day of the week. There are, I don’t know, about a million, televisions throughout the place and you are always sure to find sometimes sports you are interested in on the sets. Obviously when one of the home teams is playing they take up the bulk of the TVs. Kriegers is comfortable, accessible, reliable, and rarely falls below par. There are certainly fancier places in the area, but there were a lot of places that fall far below Kriegers in food, atmosphere, and service.

Great place Pros: Club sandwich was great fries were great Drinks were fantastic Cons: parking is terrible place was absolutely packed with kids and families late on a weekend night… parents apparently bring kids to bars on Friday nights now days… ok I guess that’s a thing waitress was average at best, made 2 mistakes on my order, and tried to give me dirty silverware from another table… enough to give a 1 star review for but I think she was probably new and completely over stressed with a full restaurant

So glad I live near this restaurant. Their pretzel burger never disappoints. I tried the Florida wings today and they were soooo good. They fry and then grill them which just makes the flavors so delicious. My husband had the chili and the pizza and both were good. Great place for lunch or for beer with friends.

Ok, this is one of my favorite bars in St. Louis. They have a great atmosphere, and good food and drinks. I have only tried probably about a third of their menu, but everything has been good. It’s a pretty normal menu as far as drinks. They do have a LOT of options because it’s more a bar than a grill. So that’s nice. But it’s still a good family place even through dinner time. Lots of kids on the dining room side and great service to accompany it. The food menu is really good. Most things and sides I’ve had are all excellent. But I have a hard time moving away from one thing. I have to admit this place has the BEST Philly Cheese steak in St. Louis. Period, hands down — my opinion. The bread is good and nicely toasted, the meet is SO very tender, and the cheese is basically melted throughout the meat. I can’t explain it… But this thing has the best taste I’ve had in the country. I mean, it’s delicious. I try to order other things but I can’t. My wife even tries, but she always get’s jealous and wants to split my cheese steak. HA But seriously, it’s a solid bar and grill, and it’s a great place to go. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because I usually reserve that for that extra pizazz. Maybe being local or having that one special something. It’s just a fun place. Give it a try.

The place is actually clean and well lit. Fair selection of beers and a full bar. But then again, it is a pub. I ordered the Chicago beef. The components were all there but they missed the mark. The beef was so dry that my iced tea disappeared just trying to eat the sandwich. The toppings were bland and sparse at best. The service was actually OK, no complaints there. Overall I am not sure I would come back. Just nothing special.

Wings since I was little. I’m now 22 and I remember going back here when they served kid’s entrees on a frisbee. I’m just as satisfied, if not more so than I was as a kid. These are my favorite wings. Always go for the five alarm. I’ve had other things here as well and all were good, but I’m definitely a wing fan first.

Krieger’s is my favorite neighborhood bar, especially this location. The bacon cheeseburger on a pretzel bun is to die for. Also, I love the fried pickle spears and chipotle sauce. The bartenders are always friendly and their drink prices are very reasonable.

I’m going to expect some negative«compliments» for this review, but here goes… The service and food here completely warranted a four star review, but there were so many families with loud kids here I just wanted to jump out of my skin before I even ordered. If I hadn’t seen a pretzel cheeseburger on the menu I may have run out of the place screaming. I get it. You’re tired from a long day at work and the last thing you want to do is make dinner, so you head to Kriegers because you know its a loud place where the kids can let off some steam without bothering anyone. We asked the waitress if the place was always this packed full of screaming kids and she said it was worse on Thursdays when the balloon man comes. Ouch! Anyway, we had the T Rav appetizer, a pretzel burger and some fries. The food was good but the service was… weird, i guess, is the best way to describe it. Our waitress got switched out from our table — they told us she got cut but then we saw her continuing to wait on other tables. Not sure what that was about but it left us needing to ask for refills, napkins, etc. Kind of annoying. The burger was good enough that I will consider going back, but I will probably call first to see if they are full of screaming kids.

The woman wanted a burger. I was pretty indifferent about where we went for dinner but I knew that I didn’t want a burger. We landed here after reading reviews and looking at pictures of food. Sometimes it seems as though picking a restaurant should be easier than that but I guess that is where Unilocal comes in. The kid wanted a t-rav appetizer. They turned out to be really good. Nothing out of the socially accepted norms for t-ravs but still very good. These are the 1-bite sized version and the sauce was flavorful but not over-powering. I opted for their philly cheesesteak based on a recommendation from our first waitress. It was good but not great. The sweet potato fries were also good but not great. It would have been a good idea to sprinkle something on them to add a little flavor. Salt is the first thing that comes to mind. About our waitress. She took our order, brought our drinks and then vanished. I asked a busser to please send her over and another woman appeared. She said that our waitress just went off-shift and she would be taking care of us for the balance of our visit. This was slightly weird. What was really weird was the fact that our first waitress continued to wait on other tables and was still doing so when we got up to leave. We weren’t mean to her — didn’t run her around or make a bunch of special requests to where a rookie waitress would feel like she needed an assist. Not really sure what that was all about…

I’m trying to figure out how this place is in business. Snotty bar staff, bad food, and the stale feeling of an institution past its prime. The parking in the entire strip mall is terrible and not worth trying to find a spot. With all of the other bars in STL it’s easy to write this one off.

Saw this place in a strip mall and it’s a hidden gem in this part of the world. Thought I would stop in for lunch. Cool atmosphere with a ton of flat screen TV’s. Menu has quite a variety from salads, pasta, pizza. Went with the A1 Peppercorn Burger. Was outstanding, filling with good flavor, has that off the grill at home flavor. There’s an onion ring on it that was pretty good as well. The fries are just fair, prob go with the rings next time. They season them quite a bit. This is a cool place, will be stopping here more often. Friendly owner.

Decent sports bar in a suburban setting. Kinda’ gets lost between Chipotle and the Asian trading company store and other strip shopping center store fronts. Great lunch time deals — competitive with Chipotle, in terms of pricing. The bottomless fries have an addictive seasoning … and are truly bottomless. The waitress practically wrestled me down to take another serving. Just kidding. But, she was persistent. So, I engaged in a minor indiscretion and partook. And, it was good. Also, per this waitress’s recommendation, I went with a spicy chicken sandwich — reportedly her fav. Have to say it was also tasty. Chicken breast was succulent — not always a given for pub grub. I dig green peppers, and the seasoning on the chicken was not overly invasive but had a kick. I liked it! As for milieu, there seemed to be a flow of regulars, and those who the service staff welcomed as regulars. At lunch, the crowd mixed in age and demographic. Many TVs on the walls. Several video games. Staff were friendly and competent. As a side note, these guys were running a coupon that pops up when one ‘Checks In’. $ 5 off a $ 25 order. Pretty cool! My lunch was well below that threshold, but cool none the less.
