Hubby and I came here because the restaurant we planned on going to had an hour wait on a Wednesday night. There was no wait here but there was also no staff it seemed. We came in and stood at the front awkwardly looking around for a hostess before finally seating ourselves in a booth near the bar. It was pretty empty in the restaurant. A girl came over and gave us menus and told us our server would be over soon. About 5 minutes later another girl came over and asked if we ordered drinks yet, we told her no, then she took our drink order. It all seemed a little confused. Our 2 draft beers came quick(not the coldest) but it took a while for her to come back with our waters or to take our order. Probably because there weren’t many servers on staff this night. We ordered the ½ price sampler appetizer which was what you could expect from a sampler at a sports bar, a bunch of fried apps. They were all really good, esp the chicken tenders which were super juicy and crispy. He ordered a seafood sampler with Mac and cheese and Cole slaw and I ordered a bacon peppered NY strip with a side salad and mac and cheese. The sides were all really delicious but neither of us enjoyed our entrees. The seafood platter was all fried and greasy and really heavy that he couldn’t eat much of it and was peeling breading off. He did say the crab cake was dynamite though. My steak came out with a mound(literally) of bacon bits so I scraped most of it onto another plate. It was tough for a med-rare and when I took a bite, I nearly choked on the amount of pepper on the outside. I love peppercorn steaks but this was a tad bit too much. It was easily masked with A1 and together, we ate a little less than half. Both entrees were $ 20 and we barely touched either. I might come back but just to drink with friends as they have great deals on drinks, and possibly get appetizers. Hubby and I agreed we would steer clear of entrees next time if we ever find ourselves back here. Not worth the $.

Excellent brunch, and glad that it’s back for the summer. An adequate variety in selections, and the food is always good. Great opportunity to get away from the old standbys like burgers that are always satisyfing, the excellent wings or the Gator Platter. Good drink specials if you like a real tasty Bloody Mary and refreshing Mimosa. Beer specials are also very good. Bar staff is very friendly and can keep up with lively banter.

Service was ok, no real complaints. The wings were pretty good, potato salad was kinda shady, my hubby really enjoyed his chicken tenders. He said they tasted fresh and homemade. I had this burger that was a little weird(just a tiny bit) but it was pretty good. Beef burger, lettuce, tomato, pickles(gave those to the hubby) crab meat, bacon and pepper jack cheese. So all in all it was good. I was«leant» from being so hungry, so it hit the spot

One of the only places open on Thanksgiving night. I had clam chowder and it was better than I expected from a sports bar. Service was good.

We went here to watch football and to have dinner. Food was actually pretty good, and the food alone is probably while we will still come back. However, the service was just ok at best. We had to wait 15 – 20 minutes for a water refill. It also took them about 20 minutes to even bring us menus and recognize us when we first got there. All that was ok though because when the food came and we were situated in our booth we were fine. What really got under our skin was when 1… the tv’s kept going out. It’s a crystal clear day outside and they kept going to searching for satellite signal. Maybe that’s not the restaurants fault but hey if you’re a sports bar known for showing football then that’s a significant issue that needs to be addressed. Many patrons were angry and leaving because of this. Lastly, there was 1 minute left in the game(a very close one) and the employee came and changed the channel to a game that hadn’t even started yet. Her response when everyone started getting angry was«my bad sorry». Then she smiled and walked off. Wow… what customer service!!! There were about 15 different tables watching that game. after many of us yelling and complaining she finally came back and changed it back after taking another few minutes to figure out how to get the remote to work. Then the game was already over :-/go figure. I won’t be coming back here to watch a game, that’s for sure. And by the look of many of the patrons storming out they probably won’t be either.

I work in an office nearby and we order lunch from here ALL the time. Like at least weekly. The staff are amazing and our food is also always delicious and made correctly. We have a lot of picky people in our office and they always get our orders right. Today the rep that was supposed to bring us lunch said he couldn’t pick it up at the last minute and the kitchen manager brought it to us. If that isn’t great service I don’t know what is.

Went on a Sunday afternoon to watch the Dallas game. We were seated quickly. The food was hot and tasty. The portions were large. Great beverages. Wonderful service. Looking forward to next weekend!

AJ Gators is a pretty popular locals hangout in the Chesapeake Square Mall area. it’s always a popular location to catch the games on Sunday. There are two pool tables and a Golden Tee game. Probably the most popular nights are the weekly«Power Hour» from 7−9pm on Thursday nights. Bottled domestic beers are $ 1.25. There are some decent food choices, my personal fave are the Sashimi Tuna Bites or a Caesar Salad with blackened chicken or tuna. For the past few years on the Sunday sandwiched between the end of the NFL playoffs and Superbowl they’ve held a Chili Cook-off with proceeds going to charity. Live bands, beer, chili tasting and judging. Good stuff. This location lacks a patio, which is a definite need for a place like this.

We are always satisfied when we go. The food portions are good. I really have no complaints. Cheeseburger was good. My husband had the steak just the other night, he was satisfied. I don’t care for seasoned French fries but it seems a lot of restaurants are going to that. Their onion rings are great. I’ve had the cheesesteak and fish n chips before, very good. My husband usually gets the club sandwich or French dip, no complaints. I would recommend.

The food was ok, ordered wings. Good taste, not a lot of meat on the wings but for $ 5.49 I guess for the price it was ok. The service was slow, we were the only customers not sitting at the bar, so we were very low on the priority apparently… Probably my last trip here.
