I’ve only been here on Saturday nights and it’s a pretty decent spot to come get a few drinks eat some wings etc. enjoy the music(sometimes there is a DJ and other times there’s a live band) and people watch(Which is what I do) always fun!

Me and my family have frequented Big Woody’s for the past two years!!! It starts and ends with customer service ladies and gentlemen!!! Big Woody’s has a very good staff… I love their unlimited wings on Saturdays(12−6pm boneless or bone in). My wife loves their potato skins. I really wish they would open up their menu a bit and add a bit more quality for big eaters like myself. I will say this we are regulars and will continue to be!

Went for what used to be .50 cent wing, dollar draft night. It has recently changed to .59 cent wing/shrimp night(still has dollar draft). Also, in the past you could request all flats or drums for your bone– in wings. This is no longer an option. I have only been to the Chesapeake square location. Food has always been pretty good. Bartenders are awesome. Very personable.

Alright, Western Branch area doesn’t have a ton of places to go, but there are a few to choose from. I love Big Woody’s. They have experienced bartenders, who are fun, outgoing and really try to make it a great experience. I have held several functions here and they’ve done a great job. Food is mostly fantastic(we’ve had a couple of dishes there were less than spectacular). Overall, I will continue to be a patron of the food, football and dancing! Great Job, Big Woody’s! It’s always a blast!

Very disappointed that the winners of the Halloween costume contests did not receive their prizes, still.

This place I have mixed feelings over. And I think it’s because it seems to lack anything that makes it stand out. It has a beach theme to it but doesn’t stick out past anything other than your typical bar. Even the signage in the front of the building blends in with the mall décor causing you to miss it if you blink too hard. Nonetheless, sometimes having a general bar close by has its benefits. First off, I haven’t been to any of them, but after taking to some of the regulars here, this place hosts a lot of local bands during certain days of the week. That makes it nice if you’re looking for something unique and just random. Why do I go here? Well on Monday’s they have fifty cent wings. If you go even earlier, you can catch the happy hour. It’s a cheap deal that«sometimes» pays off. I say sometimes because of the times I’ve gone here, the quality of the cooking and food has been drastically different. So different that I went from traditional wings to boneless so it’s less effort on their part and more likely to be consistent to what I’m expecting. So when you order be ready to be at the mercy of whoever the chef is that day. With regards to the service, it’s meh. One time we sat down at the bar and waited twenty minutes before we were even recognized. Unfortunately that performance has been closely repeated once or twice before. Overall I can’t give this place anything other than«it’s a bar that’s close» and«it’s just one of those places that just exists». Such a shame because we’d love to have a real awesome place close by to frequent for something other than cheap deals. Food taste — 3.5 Overall Service — 3 Value of food to cost — 4 Facility — 3 Repeat customer? — yes

Big Woody’s is a great lunch and evening spot for date night or just to hang out with your friends. The fish and chips are superior, chicken wings and subs are also great. Just a nice place to have fun!!!

Our first visit here and we went at the recommendation of someone who visits on Sunday night to dine and dance. There is a Shag club that meets at this location Sunday evenings. Although we do not dance Shag we were told that the music is very good. Based on a few prior reviews I was expecting slow service and so-so food but found the opposite. The service was quite good and the food was as well. It’s not gourmet dining but the fish & chips I ordered was enough for dinner and cooked really well. My wife got one of the flat bread meals which she said was also good. Both meals were the evening specials so the price was reasonable as well. My wife did not care for her wine but I was very happy to find out that they have PBR on tap. The Reeses Peanut Butter pie was ok and worth the small amount paid but a bit too sweet and too little peanut butter taste for us. Service was fast and accurate. Food was good and prices were very good. By the way, the music and dancing turned out excellent. We will be back!

This is definitely the typical sports bar. Not superb service but they get the job done. Takes a while to get your order taken but it’s nice to take advantage of the unlimited wings on Saturdays. My wings came hot when they served them. Variety of flavors to choose from and the fried pickles are good as well. The wait staff is young and the correct order is hit or miss but they correct themselves and are polite. And to the other people below who commented about the dress attire. Yes they wear short shorts. Get over it. Your in a sports bar.

I remember when this was a tiny Ruby Tuesday. It’s great how they managed to create such open space. I kinda really liked the ambiance of this bar, too. I was there Saturday night when the local band, Mocean, performed. Yes, there’s enough room now for a stage(for a whole rock band ensemble), a dance floor, high top counters and stools facing the band, and plenty of booths up against the walls. The crab cakes weren’t good enough to make me return. The vibe was.

Great food and chill atmosphere. I went on a weeknight and it was pretty empty. Need to get the word out about this place. Certainly worth supporting over mall food. Just wish the Waitresses would wear more modest clothing. There is just no reason to over expose oneself like that. I honestly don’t care to see anything other than a smile on the face of the person serving me.

Bar food(frozen junk from Sysco) that is less than mediocre in quality. My «chicken wrap» was soggy and stale, and the french fries were colder than room temp. They ought to just relocate over to the food court where they’ll have some competition.(I’d rather eat at Chick-Fil-A personally) The very slow wait staff is just as shabby. The manager, Brandon I think,(short and scrawny bald guy that acts tough) was not very helpful and only told us what we wanted to hear. I have no idea what they were thinking when they hired this runt, but he was rude and inconsiderate to his guests. My family and I will never go back.

I have been here a few times on ladies night, Friday and Sat. I’ve ordered margaritas and they are hit or miss depending on bartender. They are not served in a fishbowl glass just regular soda type. The bartender service is average, waitstaff average. Waiting time for food or drinks is average. The place is amazingly kept clean, no stacked glasses or dishes on your table, but no danger of disappearing drinks. Food I’ve ordered is the seared tuna(11.99) served with weird sauces in little plastic cups, one is a teriyaki that is thick and over sweet and the other is supposed to be wasabi, but there’s no hint of it, just not as sweet as the other, they aren’t necessary anyway. The tuna steak is sliced nicely and crusted with black and white sesame seeds. Very good. And cooked perfect to order each and every time I’ve had it. I’ve also ordered the coconut shrimp before and that was served with the same weird sauces as the tuna. There was a decent amount but they were awful! They were cooked somewhere from over to damn near burnt! Entertainment is usually a band some better than others. I have not been there when it wasn’t full, but not so you feel elbow to elbow. Good layout and I like the crowd being so diverse in ages, wages and color. I like it’s not a standard dive atmosphere and smokers can go outside in a partitioned area. There is also a bar you can sit at outside, and a few tables. They have TVs showing various games and wherever you sit you get a good view. It’s nice having a place you can listen to music, have a good time with your friends when you hit middle age and above. Plenty of 20 yos too. I can go out with my daughter or my parents it’s that diverse a crowd. Oh another bonus is women’s bathroom is clean and has 10 stalls, yay!!!

I stopped in recently to Big Woodie’s at Chesapeake Square Mall with my wife and found the place to be cool with décor and great waitresses and the food smelled great. I liked the outdoor part with Corn Hole games and big screen TV and smoking section. I am looking forward to try the food soon.(I had just eaten dinner elswhere on last visit). Looks like a lively and fun spot and will visit again soon.(a few pics I took are posted here). While I was there a band was setting up — looking forward to hear live music and do some dancing here.
