Pad Thai was pretty terrible. Wasn’t authentic at all. But I guess I wasn’t expecting it to be anyways.

Staff was friendly quality of food was better than most restraints but not as good as some noodles and company we have been to. Establishment was clean, and bathrooms were clean. :)

Good was excellent. The only thing that prevents a fifth star is that the staff was a little indifferent. They were not unfriendly, just kids being kids. Food was GREST!

«Noodley goodness, I submit to thee, for an experience most pleasant… O’ humble company… and I your most faithful patron.» If you must dine upon«fast food» Noodles and Company is consistently fresh, tasty and dependably quick. You can dine upon Pad thai, Japanese pan noodles, Indonesian peanut sauté or Thai curry soup… wait are there other items on the menu? I never noticed.

I love this place so much. I have to try not to go here every day just to keep a little variety in my life. The pesto is my favorite and the staff is awesome!

Probably one of my healthier choices. It’s a nice place to get a quick lunch if you’re on Franklin. I think the ~$ 5.99 combo of some sort is definitely worth the price, but I don’t quite remember the options. I usually get a half bowl of noodles and soup. I really think they use fresh ingredients and I don’t get the greasy feeling after eating. *If you’re looking for a place with large portions, this place is definitely not for you! I’m probably an average size guy but I don’t usually get full from it. Just enough to satisfy my hunger.*

Noodles & Company is a definite favorite. The place itself is always clean, the service is excellent, and the freestyle soda machine is extraordinary. We love going to restaurants that offer the freestyle soda option. Very cool. Most of all though, Noodles & Company offers great food options, with the calories of each plate(small or regular size portions), listed for those who are keeping track. The noodle dishes are plentiful, with many different varieties for all types of tastes from Asian style, to American, Italian, etc. They even have soup on the menu, and desserts(cookies, rice crispy treats, and small cake slices.) You order when you first come in(take-out or eat in), and your food is brought over to you when ready. They provide utensils and napkins, and bring those out with your order, but additional supplies are up near the freestyle soda machine. They also have Sriracha available, and«to-go» cups for your drinks. After dining, you leave your plates on the table, as Noodles & Company’s employees clear the tables for the dining guests after they leave. We usually leave a tip, although in a predominantly student-centric town, I’m not certain if all who dine there do. ;) You can dine indoors or eat outside in the patio area. Parking is in the private lot to the side and behind the restaurant. Just keep in mind that in Chapel Hill, parking can be extremely crowded during the fall and winter/spring semesters when students are in town. During the late spring and summer months, parking usually isn’t as big of an issue.

The pesto cavatappi is my favorite dish here. I get the small size and sub the pasta for whole grain linguine and it’s great. I think small is just the right portion, my coworkers get the large and I wouldn’t be able to eat that much pasta. They have good sides — chicken noodle soup and the Caesar salad were hits with my team! The location is ideal and there is parking off of Franklin st. in the back of the restaurant. I give it 3 stars because it’s nothing spectacular but they’ve still got a great variety of pasta. I wouldn’t say it’s just Chinese cuisine but they’ve done a good job of creating a menu that satisfies all sorts of pasta/noodle cravings. I did want to point out that the service was quick and the restaurant was clean. We came around 8pm — close to the 9pm close — and my coworker went back for a rice krispie treat and got it for free which was a kind gesture by the staff.

This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat on Franklin Street. I’ve been to this location a lot. The employees are always happy, friendly, and helpful. The food never disappoints and I always leave happy. I would definitely recommend.

Food is great! Management was kind enough to give me the free birthday pasta even though the email hadn’t gone through to me yet. Best birthday treat!

Their pesto cavatappi is about the only reason I come here. It’s relatively not cheap for a meal, since the portion size for anything is small(even the regular portion) and you have to add ~$ 2 – 3 of toppings in order to fill yourself up. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t eat that much per meal. I like their soda machine though(it’s still fascinating to me…)

I’m from California, so I’ve been to all sorts of noodle restaurants, from thai to viet to korean to japanese. You name it. That said, this place was a huge disappointment. I ordered the pad thai with high hopes, and my friend ordered a Italian pasta. The pasta was really bland, and the pad thai tasted pretty funky. I have heard there are better thai places nearby, but my expectations have plummeted ever since trying this place. I did really enjoy the beverage machine. There is a HUGE variety of drinks to choose from, but I mean… I came for the food, not the drinks. Also, the location is walking distance from campus. However, I do not think I will be taking that walk again anytime soon. David’s VPP(Value per price): 3⁄10

Love the Pad Thai with shrimp and my husband loves the spicier Asian chicken entrée. Always seems like the freshest-tasting ingredients. We’ve gotten it for here and to go lots of times. Ok dumpling appetizer, not my fave. Average price for the area for a quick meal(read: not cheap). They have tons of other options that I’ve never tried cause I love Asian noodles(Italian noodle dishes, soup, salad, macaroni, etc.). Plus massive rice Krispy treats and cookies. They also sell beer and wine which seems unusual for such a fast-food sort of vibe. They also bring the food to you and bus your table at the end but no one leaves a tip. Indoor and outdoor seating, usually fairly quick service.

The guy at the register was completely incompetent. He could not adequately count properly or address us with appropriate decorum. Thank god for Cynthia she was the only employee who seemed to know what in the heck was going on. Avoid the thai noodles as they are way too heavy and covered in sauce that is vaguely reminiscent of alpo dog food. The Asian salad that I had to replace the inedible noodles was half way decent, but be sure to get the dressing on the side otherwise your salad will be swimming in sugary syrup. Thanks noodles co for living up to my preconceived notions of mediocrity. Would have demanded a refund the first time if I had not have had the bogo coupon. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Interesting concept: A global noodle restaurant, serving everything from spaghetti and meatballs to pad thai to mac and cheese. Too bad the execution isn’t as good as the concept. Granted, I probably would have been better off ordering a more«American» style pasta dish, but on this day wanted something more Asian and chose the Thai Hot Pot. The picture, as they often do, looked excellent with lots of noodles and meat. What was served, though, was a bowl of warm, thin broth without much flavor or spice. There was hardly any meat or noodles to speak of. Pretty disappointing.

Since Lime and Basil was closed, we opted for the closest alternative: noodles & company. It’s a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. I would have to concur with other fellow reviewers with the portion size, which was smaller than expected for the price. However, the portion size was just right for me(most likely, I won’t be taking home any leftovers). A great addition is the touch-screen soda machine with tons of flavors to choose from! Overall, it’s a good place to grab a quick lunch bite.

Lots of people did not recommend me to dine there. however, i think the american kinds of noodles are pretty good. I have not tried asian noodles yet but I kinda felt like those are probably the best choice

The food itself is not bad. I love pasta, so the food at Noodles is fine with me. So literally the only problem with this place is the fact that it costs a freaking arm and leg relative to what you actually get. It costs about 6 dollars for a regular sized bowl of pasta, and that is without meat. And unless you’re a vegetarian, you’re going to want to add meat… which costs an extra 3 dollars. So you end up paying about 9 bucks for a not-so-large portion of food with a not-so-large helping of meat. Seriously? Three dollars for a few slices of grilled chicken on top? RIP. OFF. At least they have their own parking lot, which saves you the trouble of searching for street parking on Franklin. But I always leave Noodles regretting coming in the first place.
