I am not one to write negative reviews. I have been going to Monet Salon for years and Danielle always did a great job. So, when I heard they had new a owner. I decided to give it a try. But the way I was treated by Jessica today was the final straw. She made me feel crazy for her mixing the wrong color that I have been using for years; sealed the deal. Buyer beware! They don’t listen to you and then charge you anyway when they get it wrong! It is not the same salon that it was before. I am moving on and so is my money.

I have been a client for many years and Danielle always did my hair. Cut and color. I enjoyed her and her staff. She retired and didn’t say anything at least not to me that she was not going to be there anymore. A friend of mine who also had been going to her for a few years was not told either. I was disappointed as she did a great job of coloring my hair Olga has been with her for many years and was wonderful with my mom who has dementia. Not sure what I will do from going forward. It’s difficult finding someone that was so good with color.

I had a great experience at Monet Salon. They did an amazing job on my micro link hair extensions. Now my hair is much longer with lots of volume and looks very natural. No one will be able to tell I have extensions. Jessica was awesome — very friendly and very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this place!

Decided to go here after try and try in the area. I’m glad I did. The place was clean the staff was great and the stylist Jessica was really good she took her time to listen all my wishes before she put her scissors on me.
Besides the price is affordable. Thank God I followed the reviews

Had an awesome experience here. The new owner is super nice and did an amazing job with my 10 inch haircut. Great friendly staff. Willing to work with what you want and how to best work with your type of hair and it’s shape. Will definitely visit in the future

Years ago I would go to Monet Salon because my nail lady opened her business there. I would watch the stylists and be impressed with their talent and customer service. Upon getting fed up with my overpriced hair salon and inconsistent stylist, I decided to give Monet Salon a try. What did I have to lose? It was the BEST decision I ever made. Although Danielle and others did wonderful work, I decided to try Olga because I was impressed with a particular color/​cut she gave a customer that I thought would work for me. Olga is amazing at high/​low lighting my hair. My hair is thin and she cuts my hair to give it lift and body. Her experience is unmatched. She is always on time and I never feel like she rushes. She TAKES HER TIME to make sure it’s perfect! Olga clearly values her customers and her customers clearly respect her for her talent and commitment to them. I will be her client for life. I’m sorry I didn’t write this review years ago, because she deserves this recognition.

Olga is an amazing colorist & stylist-​she really knows her stuff. She can also do a great cut & a beautiful braid, blow out, or up-​do (see my waterfall braid pic). I originally moved here from San Diego & have high standards for hair because my hair dresser taught color for a major industry color brand. Initially, I started driving way out to the Sugar Shack in Alexandria for a high priced, poor service, trendy salon experience with washed out bleachy blond color. Then, I tried Monet. Right next to home, great prices, & great results. You may not get the young, trendy, can I offer you a chai tea experience, but the staff is experienced, on time, & friendly. I’ve been coming for over 4 years now.

I had a great experience with Olga. She rectified my badly layered long hair and made it look full and natural again. She was friendly and took time to understand what I wanted. You really can’t beat the price either! I paid $ 75 for a shampoo, cut, color and blowdry!

My daughter and I have been coming here for a few years and are consistently happy each time we leave. The entire staff is wonderful. Danielle is amazing and has wonderful assistants that help her. My daughter goes for the trendy look and whether it’s Danielle or Darlene she always leaves happy. I drive 20 minutes to get here and won’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend you try this salon.
Note they do take their time to ensure you leave with the right cut, color and style. So make the appointment for a time that you are not in a hurry to leave depending on your needs.

Biggest bang for your buck when it comes to haircare in NOVA. Danielle the owner is nice, professional. My mom went to Danielle as my grandma had appointments with Olga. They not only cut hair well, but the customer service rocks. My grandma was very picky about her hair as many old ladies tend to be and it was the only place she would go. They were regulars and when my grandma fell sick before she passed they not only offered to come to her house to do her hair, but both Olga and Danielle came to my grandma’s funeral. Of course when I moved to NOVA even though I live in springfield, I get my hair done there. I use Olga since my grandmother is gone Olga had a spot open. 4 years later and I am still using her. She has great suggestions for your hair if you are open to something new, but is not pushy as there are times I politely decline her suggestions and do my usual cut. Either way I walk out of there very satisfied. I also get waxed and threaded there and all 3 ladies who have worked on me in those departments are great. Finally the prices are low compared to many other salons with the same service. At first I was worried that they were cutting corners although you would never know by the food and tea offered, but I checked all their products and they are top of the line (Maitrix professional for color not Loreal) in fact more top of the line compared to the place I had been going before there. If you are looking for a great cut, color, wax, and thread, excellent service, at a reasonable cost in NOVA this is where you want to get your hair done!

I looked long and hard before finding this salon and Danielle — she is the best — even my daughter loves her and she is very picky.

I came to this salon based on the previous Unilocal reviews. I was looking for a place with stylists who knew new trends and will follow through with my requests for my haircut. Unfortunately I don’t remember the stylists name but overall I was very impressed with the salon. It’s a nice, cozy environment. The lady who cut my hair was really intuitive with her opinions for my hair cut and I was very happy with the overall product. I will go here again and not have to worry about paying high end salon prices but moderate prices for the same quality.

Danielle is wonderful and very talented. Been going to her for years and have never once walked out of her salon unhappy or dissatisfied. She is always up to date on the latest styles. Her salon is very nice, as are all the staff who work there! All clients in her shop are constantly raving about her! Great salon!

My daughter and I had our first visit today to Monet since new owner took over. Jessica and her staff are wonderful! We felt welcomed the moment we went in, and Jessica was very engaged on hearing what we wanted, and in doing so, offered her suggestions and expertise. She cut our hair as we asked and we both are happy to have found a ‘new’ place where we felt right at home!

Monet Salon is a far drive to almost Chantilly, but it’s worth it. Danielle will listen to all your pickyness, as you describe how you want her to perform these impossible feats on your hair, turn it this color, etc… and then she will consult with you for at least 10 minutes on how she is going to do it, before she even starts. She is friendly and laid back, and will take her time to give you the best haircut of your life — she was trained in France for decades. I’ve been going to her for over 6 years, and there is no other place that will listen to me describe the impossible, then give me a color, cut deep condition, blow dry straight my curls, and call it a day at less than $ 150. And if I’m still not sure she got it right, she always offers for me to come back in a week and she will redo. CANNOT BEAT THAT! Tip that woman well!
