Chelo’s Burger

Small burger joint tucked inside of the AM /​PM. The food was good and prepared fresh when ordered. Prices are reasonable too.

Good Stop while on a road trip.
You can pump gas and get a bite.
Philly cheese steak and fries were great!

Only had them once as a late night treat for my fiancé and I, but I was pleased with the Zucchini fries and burgers. Reminded me of our favorite restaurant back in Yucca Valley, our home town called Johns Place who had delicious Zucchini fries. Now I have somewhere down here to enjoy good burgers n Zucchini fries at an affordable price :)

This is a decent hamburger place may not a must stop. Service was excellent and the food came out fast. Had the Ortega cheeseburger, frozen patty with packaged sliced cheese. Nothing special but not horrible. The fried zucchini was good. The date shake was delicious.

I noticed the Arco gas station had a hamburger restaurant connected to its structure. It looked good and I finally made the extra 2 miles out of the way to eat there. I ordered the double cheeseburger, fries, onion rings, 2 cokes and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The order was for my roommate and me. The price was $ 19.10! Isn’t it ridiculous anymore to pay these outrageous prices, only to be handed a very small bag of food that doesn’t even weigh a pound? Not counting the cokes, of course. I got home, and opened the burger, which I had asked the restaurant to cut in half. I did the same with the Philly cheesesteak thinking that we could each have half of both. My first bite was odd and I said, «The meat tastes borderline. «The second bite was not as noticeable, but my roommate wondered if it was any good because his tasted funny. Third bite and I nearly got sick from the rancid taste. The meat was way bad. So, my roommate took the entire order back and I didn’t even attempt to open the sandwich. He said the employee tried to act like she wasn’t going to refund the money and was rude about giving us spoiled meat to pay $ 20 for and get sick by. I am now sick with an upset stomach and I took Bactrim and have made 2 trips to the paradise stool which I’m sorry for mentioning, but I’m trying to make a point and do so with a serious sense of humor, if that’s possible. Please excuse me if offend anyone. He looked at her and said loudly, «Mam, the meat is bad!» She refunded the money and the cook carried back into the fridge a giant wad of meat, according to my friend. I’ll have to pass from future visits to that dive. However, a new, full size, Dairy Queen is almost finished with its construction next door. They’ll have pretty good food. I hope so, anyway?

First time trying out today… Me & my husband both got the Philly cheese steaks sandwich, fries and a order of fried zucchini.
The Philly cheese steak could of had a lot more meat & cheese on it kinda small but great fresh bread and it was just ok.
The fries were not crispy enough. But we should know better and ask for extra crispy. This happens at a lot of places.
The zucchini was YUMMMYYYYYYY +++
Really Crispy & fresh.
Kinda expensive $ 26+ for everything.
Next time I think we will try the burger.

Best burger I have had in the desert. My company had the Philly cheese steak and he was disappointed as he has had better at Goodys and Woodys. Best to stick to burgers at this place.

Machaca breakfast plate was awesome! It’s rare that I can find a restaurant that can make machaca that isn’t all dried out. My kids loved the zucchini sticks too. Will definitely stop again when traveling through the area.

The food there is outstanding it is fresh and also compared to goodies restaurant it is almost half the price and it is better quality

Very good hamburgers and dinner plates. Eaten here a couple of times. The Bacon Avocado burger is the best. Vert fast and great service. Wouldn’t expect to find inside of an Am-​Pm.

Pretty good! I got the breakfast burrito with ham, bacon and sausage and it definitely hit the spot. Good price, friendly service and yummy food.
