Good quality pizza… had a thin crust sausage and green pepper, good stuff. It’s not my favorite pizza in the world, but definitely nowhere near the bottom. I would go back and plan to eat here again. I hear the double crust and taco pizza are good too.

Weekday pizza buffet is always hot and fresh! I like how the employees are constantly putting out new food and making sure everything is clean. The buffet consists of a variety of pizzas, a salad bar, and hot foods like pasta, vegetables, and chicken. It’s a little small but it usually not too busy so there’s enough room for everyone.

Been here few times before. As always everything was great! I always have the same server, Violetta she greeted and seated us within a minute.(Her service is always great, very friendly and never leaves us hanging. Fills drinks with out even asking and checks on us) she took our drink order right away. Was back within minutes with drinks and take our order. Pizza came out super fast and was pipping hot! To hot eat, but I would rather it be to hot than warm! So I didn’t mind waiting for it to cool off! Pizza was delicious! Will definitely be back! FYI Tuesday is 10 $ large pizza deal! It’s a great deal and can get it to go to! Just give extra time because they are always busy Tuesday!

Really disappointed… I had heard good things, so decides to order take out. No delivery option which I find very sad for a pizza joint… So order a small veggie pizza, and added one ingredient, my total was $ 18… OK if it’s a really good pizza, but it wasn’t. Literally, I do not think they out sauce on their pizzas! On top of that, or lack there of, no cheese. No cheese at all! It will like eating veggies on top of bread. Very sad sad place. This is Chicago land people, let’s learn how to make a pizza!!! Deffinily will not be wasting my money there again!

Excellent pizza! Village has been apart of my life since I was a wee lass, now having a family member with Celiacs I appreciate wholeheartedly the quality of their GF pizza. Their thin crust is phenomenal and their double decker is the most satisfying circular formation of meat cheese and crust I have ever encountered.

Not a good experience. We went early on a Saturday, they just open. Took about 10 minutes before our server came over. Violetta was very nice, but not attentive. We ordered a thin mushroom, sausage and onion pizza. After we placed the order and got our drinks, we were left alone until the pizza came out. It wasn’t hot, so clearly sitting a bit. We ordered more drinks that never came. My husband went up to the bar to get them after 20 minutes and we already finished our pizza. Our server was sitting with another customer and remembered their drinks, just not ours. Unfortunately, the experience took away from the average pizza. Hence the one star. With a better server, the rating would be three stars. Just average.

Stopped got pizza. Was not disappeared four of us had two large sausage and mushrooms. Fairly crowded yet service was good. Peanuts on the tables. Only down side was no IPA. Ended up having couple of Coronas, which were good but too light and not an IPA

The best pizza in the area. Thin and double decker are different taste experiences but equally delicious. Very busy but efficient carry out.

One of the only places I make time for when I’m back in town. Double Decker all the way!

Let me start of by saying this is one of the best if not the best thing that ever happened to carpentersville. The pizza is fantastic. Super thin and still stays crunchy. Love the pub atmosphere inside. However, the only reason why they do not get a 5⁄5 star is because their biggest pizza is super small(14″) and they are pretty expensive. Wish they had bigger pizzas which would be more ideal for bigger crowds

There we were. Refused tickets to a movie theater and time to kill before the next show. We popped in. Grabbed seats at the bar and got our drank on. The bartender shared the special ‘o the day: $ 10 large pizza. We had both eaten, but I did consider it. Instead we went with liquid dessert. I love suburban drink prices. For our 4 drinks the tab was $ 16. That’s 1.5 drinks in the city. The place is currently remodeling and smelled like paint. The smell dissipates after 2 drinks. Some people a few seats over ordered a pizza. It was an odd couple, but my eyes were on the prize: the pizza. If you happen to be out in exurbia, check ‘em out. Cheap drinks. I can’t vouch for the pizza.

This is heartbreaking, and I hate to do this, but something happened to Village Pizza. I went there for the first time in about a year and had my traditional thin crust sausage pizza. This was not the pizza that I grew up with. In fact, it was very far from it! The crust was extremely thin. It was so thin, I thought someone had made a mistake. It was easily the thinnest crust I had ever tasted. It was actually transparent! And while I do like thin crust pizza, something was just not right with this one. As far as the sauce… where was it? One of the things that made the old Village Pizza so great was the sauce. This pizza hardly had any of it. The cheese was also not right. The sausage was also smaller and seemed to lack flavor. This went from being one of the best pizza places in the northwest suburbs(which is why they now have more than one location) to an absolute nightmare. Hopefully the Randall Road location hasn’t messed with the traditional Village Pizza! Still, you can tell that there have been some cutbacks when it comes to the pizza, with horrible crust and using a paint roller to apply the sauce. As far as the service, I will repeat what others have said. The lady just took my order, gave me a pitcher or soda, and gave me the check, never asking how it was. You could tell that they were more interested in interacting with people they knew instead of giving every guest the same attention. This has easily gone from one of the best to one of the worst. I hate to say it, but after nearly 30 years, I think I have gone to Village Pizza for the last time, which is truly a tragedy!

There was a large party in the events room that arrived after my little party of 4 and were able to get seated, order, recieve their food… EAT and LEAVE… before we got our pizza. Granted the place was obviously short staffed, but the waitress kept darting past our table like somehow our pizza was going to order itself, We sat for a half an hour before she came to take the order and that was only after I complained to the hostess. Again, trying to consider that she was serving a large party we laughed it off, but when the table who came in 45 mins after us was able to get their pizza before us all bets were off. The pizza is good… I will give them that, but that is ALL I will give them. This was a systemic failure. If the wait staff cant handle the floor then the runners need to step up and help(ahem MANAGEMENT) the runner on tonight was too busy flirting with the hostess to be bothered. There was not one apology for the crappy service and in fact when she did make time for our table she was acting like we hadnt been there for over 2 hours. Never again.

We often order from here when we are feeling too lazy to cook or go out… this seems occur fairly often on Sundays. My boyfriend is a huge fan of the double decker pepperoni pizza, which I had never even heard of before. They also have a really good chopped salad here. I was worried because a person who reviewed Village previously said it was terrible, but we have ordered it on multiple occasions now and never had an issue with it. We have ordered a couple other pizzas from here and never been disappointed. One of my friends insisted that we try a pizza with pineapple and jalapenos here and we were pleasantly surprised! We have never dined in… just done carry out!

I had my rehearsal dinner at the old Village Pizza years and years ago when I married hubby número uno. I’ve always been a fan. However, at my last visit a couple weeks ago with some friends and their kids, I was a bit disappointed. Our server hardly paid us any attention. Our pizza came out luke-warm and the beer was the same temp as the pizza… that’s just not right. The kids had a blast coloring, throwing peanut shells on the floor and looking at the fish. We took our leftovers home and ate them the next day for lunch. Reheated in the oven, the pizza was delicious!

I am going to state right up front, Pizza was cold, beer was not, We did the family night out, and instead of hitting the local mexicaneria… or subshop .“The guys“were drawn into peanuts you can toss on the floor and double decker pizzas. «The gals» were drawn in by the hostess who kept our kids supplied with crayolas and drawing papers almost all night. It took forever to get drinks and longer to get the food. Grumpy kids makes for a really long night. We may try again. maybe not for a while.
