White House Black Market

Love the clothes here and the staff is very helpful as well. I wish they carried petite/​short sizes in store though. As I’m only shy of 5′ tall, it’s hard for me to buy jeans or pants as they would require hemming and I don’t have time for that. WHBM can order them in petite and short sizes and send them to my house but wouldn’t it be more convenient to stock them in the store? Not everybody is 5’5 and taller.

I love the clothes and love the staff. When I shop I don’t dress up-it’s a game I like to play w salespeople in my head. It is funny how helpful or not staff can be based on how you look. No matter what I always get individual attention and help at White House black market. This is why it is my favorite store-​plus I love the clothes; I wish they came out with new styles faster. However, my wallet and husband are glad they don’t. Probably 80% of my work clothes are from here. Love it!!!

You would think this concept would wear thin pretty fast, but it really doesn’t. White House/​Black Market really does only sell black, white, and sometimes gray clothes, but everything is beautiful, well-​made, classic and striking. As you might expect, it’s also quite expensive. It’s not unheard of to see $ 250 skirts in here.
However, you can also find more reasonably priced items, and while an entire closet full of these clothes might be kind of dull (not to mention pretentious), there’s something for everyone here, and more variations on the eternal «little black dress» than you could ever dare to hope for. While they do have lovely tops, pants and jackets, I think their skirts and dresses are usually their finest pieces.
