Yes… It’s five star rating food. Authentic Salvadorian, plate licking good. Look if you want fancy, this place ain’t it, if you want a romantic place for two where you can gaze at each other’s eyes and hold a profound conversation… this place ain’t it. Don’t let the recently low ratings fool you. This place is legit and the portions are more then enough… they don’t skimp on quality and ingredients. There was a couple of months where they were short on waitresses, but if you didn’t read the sign on the door before entering in, then it’s your own fault. So that slow waitress you complaint about… was not being rude, she was just tending to her current clients. Patients is a virtue!!! Look I’ve been coming for over a year… if your born back in El Salvador you get used to the loudness of the music and the t. v’s playing at the same time… shit, I’ve been in hole on the wall places back home with the place having a tin roof and the lady making the pupusas on a stone fire comal… lol everyone is entitled to their opinion but this place is Yummers!

I found this place through Unilocal and saw it had good ratings so, I decided to take my family there to try it out. When you first walk in you are bombarded with the loud music and the tvs playing soccer games. Which is fine, we love soccer but it was a bit too much. You had to talk really loud to have a conversation. The service was TERRIBLE! The poor older lady that was waiting on us just left us there. We flagged her down twice to tell her we were ready to order and she just gave us a blank stare. So I flagged down another girl and she finally took our order after almost an hour of waiting. The older lady came by twice to our table with the wrong order. I got my atole de elote which I would not recommend or order again. It was plain, no flavor and it didn’t have the corn inside. Instead they serve the corn on a cob on your plate. I thought it was interesting considering I had never had it that way but even after trying it, it wasn’t any good. By this time I’m just hoping the food isn’t terrible and my boys are just saying lets just go. This Sunday lunch was turning into a freaking disaster. By the time the food got here, it looked really good and then again I was completely disappointed. Bland, not even hot. I couldn’t even eat it. So, NO I WOULDNOTEVERRECOMMENDTHISPLACETOANYONE not even the people I dislike and NO I WOULDNOTEVERCOMEBACKHEREAGAIN. I would have probably ate better at the Pollo Loco across the street. Save your money. Unilocal,I feel lied to and conned into coming into this place with the false reviews. Either that or people need to start trying better food to compare this ungodly place of a restaurant for edible food.

Found this place on Unilocal, and decided to try to try their pupusas with pork, cheese, beans & corn tamales. The pupusas were good. Will be returning to order more of those but the tamales were not all that, didn’t have much flavor in my opinion, I like mine sweet. I placed my order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I didn’t mind the wait and this place is right around the corner. I arrived 25 minutes later and my order was ready.

Really bad customer service the waitress was really disrespectful Innoway I’m not trying to help us I was letting her know when I need it seems like she was in a hurry no way she was not nice and polite to wait for me to order my order but it’s OK if she was in a hurry she could let me know when

This has been a great experience. The food is very fresh and delicious. Very authentic Hispanic food. Family owned and operated means you don’t feel like just another client.

First time here, I had the shrimp and concha cocktail, and the dozen concha, It was right on how a concha cocktail should be. So far so good, I am coming back to try something else.

Best place for pupusas and shrimp cocktails. My kids and hubby like them so much plus the price is not as expensive as the other places. Also it’s not as warm, another pupusas restaurant in the area is so warm and small it feels so cramp.

One of the best decisions my husband has made today. And this place is right around the corner from us. Their mixed cocktails are delicious! Not a fan of the horricha but everything else was amazing. Will be coming back soon

I was craving for some oysters and being in the Valley, it’s very hard to find cheap ones. Found this place and and they were $ 12.99. We also order the blood clams ceviche, seafood soups, and few other plate I can’t remember. The oysters is too big and not cold enough so I ask for more ice-it’s not of best quality so it really didn’t fix my oysters craving. Overall it’s a good place for Mexican food but noting is really special about it-except for the oysters.

Took 30 min for two tacos de carne. They have some short haired blonde lady who doesn’t know English or how to be polite. She is the rudest unintelligent waitress ever. There food is okay and I use to go a lot because I go to school next door but the service has low standards. By the way the whole building is infested with roaches so I know they have them there.

Yummy authentic food. Great ceviche tostadas and shrimp cocktails. Their English isn’t very good which makes ordering a little difficult if you don’t speak Spanish so phone orders aren’t ideal of you don’t speak Spanish which is why I can’t give it the full 5 stars, but they are still welcoming and nice and the food is great.

Worst customer service ever, they deliberately took 40 minutes to make two tacos. TWOTACOS! That’s a tortilla with meat in it and a slice of avocado on top… After 30 minutes(i go to school right next to this place and have only 30 minutes for lunch) I asked her how long and she said another 3 – 5 minutes. THATSHOWLONGITSHOULDTAKETOMAKETHEFRICKENTHINGWHATDOYOUMEAN?! Then they’d finally brought it out and forgot to make my friends quesadilla(another«hard» «time-consuming» meal) RIGHT absolutely ridiculous

The music was way too loud at this restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and octopus ceviche and it made me sick. Can’t believe this place got 4 stars! Guess that’s what I get for cheating on La cevicheria… Definitely won’t be back.

This place is me. What I mean by that is that La Bahia serves both Mexican seafood(which is where my dad is from) and authentic Salvadorian dishes(which is where my mom is from). I came to La Bahia(the bay) on Saturday and I had a Pilsener which is a beer from El Salvador. My friend and I shared a mojarra frita, Aguachiles and half a dozen oysters. All the dishes were served timely and service was great. The restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived but shortly after a couple parties came in and the place was a lot busier. tip: try there Salvadorian tortillas you will see in my picture that they are thicker than other kinds of tortillas.

Best of both worlds. Seafood and salvi food. Everything was delish. Would definitely give this place a shot. Friendly and attentive waitress.
