Just went here last night they ran out of mash potatoes Then they had no avisa I sauce They gave me obviously old chicken and didn’t give me any tortillas Once they gave me my food I wasn’t even sure if that was it the guy in the window just turned around and didn’t say anything Lack of communication is definitely a big issue here Don’t recommend the drive through but eating inside no complains service and food was good

Ridiculous it’s 10:00 I came to this location to order a Tostada salad, and they tell me that they are out of chicken and anything that has to do with chicken!!! Seriously! How do you run out chicken when that’s what you are known for???

Excellent food with consistent quality. If you notice El Pollo Loco is never in the news the way Chipotle is. The food is always great quality, and very delicious. Parking at this location is a little odd, but manageable. There are a ton of spots if you’re a little further away. Drive thru lines look long at peak times like 6pm.

Had a bad customer service experience in the drive-thru. The employee’s name was Cynthia. After I ordered and drove up to the first window to pay, I waited at the window at least 5 minutes before she even opened it. She read my order back to me and when I requested two items she said, «We don’t have that here» in a curt tone. There was no apology, no smile or «have a good one» at the end of our transaction. To top it all off, I realized when I got home that there was no drink with the family meal I ordered. I would still come to this location because the product is fine, I would just hope that I don’t have to deal with this poor customer service again.

Food is good, drive thru wait is always horrendous at this location, I have no idea why.

Had their coupon special shrimp tostada. Not too bad for a chicken place! The guy jumped in the register because one guy was ordering a lot of food with the other cashier. He didn’t know how to take the coupon discount off the order and had to ask another lady. Also, there’s only about five parking spaces out front. What kind of restaurant has so few spots? You have to park far away in the shopping center if you don’t get one of these spots in the dead end parking. Their regular grilled chicken is always good, but you have to wait awhile for your order to be ready. Their menu signs could be a little more clear.

Pissed. Why did they do that to my burrito? So if you need a bite that you can eat why not get a tightly wrapped burrito from El Pollo Loco? Why not right? It ain’t that yucky Taco Bell mystery meat and it’s pretty healthy as well. I opted for a burrito I always get here, the Chicken avocado burrito from the under 500 cal menu. I love this burrito: it’s filling, cheap, and low on the cals. Anyway I can generally eat this thing as a regular burrito(yes, with my hands). But for some reason the staff here decided to wrap the burrito loosely, then pour dressing on the salad that seeped into the burrito. They didn’t even take the time to grill that thing! When I opened it up in the car it was a soggy mess! Ugh!

Very good and consistent food. I like this place better than chipotle. The register people are very friendly and you can tell are well trained. They re did their dining room, which is nice they have booths now. Their salsa bar is always cleaned up and refreshed by someone. It’s a good place and the food is very good, one of the best places for Mexican food, no really.

This location does a fantastic job in accommodating their guests and most of service. The one thing that was very nice to see is that they put a employee to work the dinning room to kept it clean during their busy times. We have all gone to locations and waited for an employee to come and clean the table. Very pleasant to see this, now if all locations would implement this. Set your standards high. Very limited when it comes to parking at this location. Only about 6 vehicles can park in the front, and the drive thru-line is always long. So I would park in the lot of the Vons Market parking lot. I ordered the avocado chicken burrito and it was very delicious and it wasn’t at room temperature. It was hot and wrapped properly in foil to kept it hot. Great Job.

This by far has been the best pollo loco I’ve been too. The staff is super friendly. And the food always look fresh and appetizing.

Word of advice. do not order catering from the Canoga Park Pollo Loco location. I placed an order online 4 days in advance for a corporate meeting and was contacted one hour before the day of to let me know my order would not be processed nor delivered because there were no delivery guys onsite. The manager did not care that I had people waiting for their food and said I should call the Northridge location to see if they could help. Manager lacked empathy, leadership, and customer service skills. The complete opposite was the case with the Northridge Pollo Loco Manager. totally helpful and went above and beyond to meet my expectation when I ordered for another meeting on a different day.

Holy moly was this place awesome! I’ve had El Pollo Loco before but in South County St. Louis. The chicken here is soooooo tender, moist & quite flavorful. I wanted to come here ever since my friends raved about El Pollo Loco in L.A. They weren’t kidding about the chicken here. The churros were awesome & quite delish! I loved every bite of my food. I like how they give you a pager to tell you when your food is ready.

I’ve been to this restaurant location several times, and always through Drive-thru. the staff seemed to usually be friendly, EXCEPT for this last visit. As I approached the order box, I gave my one item order. the order taker must have repeated the wrong order a couple of times, so I repeated saying it syllable by syllable. when she asked if I wanted the combo, I said no, that is all. then she asked me if I wanted a drink, I said no, that is all. She then asked: is that all? I finally said to her that«I ALREADYSAIDTHATWASALL! If she could not hear me, she should have said. «sorry I cannot hear you, can you please speak up». Instead, she said: «Well, I couldn’t hear you». As I drove to the window, she opened the window and said the total, collected my payment without looking at me, then she handed my card back and closed her window. I guess customers that they deem annoying to them no longer deserve a thank you! Absolute worst customer service. SMH. I will not be coming back to this location again… I should have just gone to McDonald’s next door, where the customer service is much much better and I get my food much quicker at their drive-thru. 5 minute visit at the McD drive thru vs 20 min visit at El Pollo Loco… It’s a no brainer! cashier: Karina R

Okay, the food isn’t bad, the service is nothing to complain about but for gods sake please hire more people! The drive thru pretty much always goes out onto Topanga Canyon which is kind of dangerous as it’s a high traffic road. I feel like maybe I’m always going at a busy time so today I went in the afternoon, not lunch but not dinner time. Still out into the street. Would it kill you to make the drive thru more efficient? I also have no problem going in but the two times I have some creep is sleezing on all the girls in there like it’s a singles bar. I’ll stay in my car thanks. Update: they forgot to give me my drink but the girl just threw the food in my car and peaced out never to be seen again so I’m sitting there waiting for over 5 minutes for her to come back to the window. I’m knocking, trying to wave down the guy making chicken who honestly was doing his best to pretend he didn’t see me. I’m not asking that he come running to the window to help me but at least let someone else know! She finally came back and gave me the dirtiest look to see me still sitting there and I told her she forgot my drink and she make a stank face and handed it to me but did not say anything! No «so sorry about that» or anything ! Silence! Terrible service.

I’m a fan. What can I say? They make a good chicken. I took one star off for the lack of a bread/roll item for those getting sides like mac and cheese or mashed potatoes. My wife likes the tortillas and the salsa and what not, I like the more classic sides. If I had a biscuit or roll it would be perfect! Salsa bar is great for options! Yes sometimes it takes a minute at this location but it’s freaking slammed. I think they do a pretty good job honestly. Sometimes the drive through line is like around the next building over. Yum!

Delicious fresh chicken. Not 5 stars because of the horrible parking or wait time at the drive thru which is always full. Prices are good AFTER using a coupon.

I’m not sure if they change management but this location has gotten better in terms of food and service. Less ½ star because parking layout is awkward. When the drive thru backs up, it seems hard to get in and out of such small parking area. So I ordered the 3 course meal and had coupon for 4 free tacos al carbon, totaling $ 22. I wanted the tortilla soup instead of salad but was not ready, thus also less ½ star. They did have a new soup, chicken corn chowder… and it was better than tortilla because it was thicker, had corn, potato and lots of chicken. So flavorful! Chicken legs and thighs were as expected. The tacos were also full of chicken more than expected as other locations. I also like that this location let’s you pick your 2 sides, I ve been to others and they tell me you have to stick to the rice and beans, which I replaced for mac and cheese. Yummy chocolate churns for dessert. The line in drive thru was long, 6 car lengths but I was able to get through it in about 30 minutes. I don’t mind the wait if my order comes out right(no onions on tacos, extra salsa, more thighs than legs –error?, plates to go). Would have given 3.5 stars, but chowder was so good rounded up to 4 stars.

What I like about El Pollo Loco is Foster’s Freeze! Chocolate, or vanilla dipped cones? Ice cream(Strawberry, Chocolate or Vanilla) Shakes.?Im in! Foster’s, a California tradition for 65 years. Not familiar if all El Pollo’s have Fosters but this location does. The menu is small and simple, perfect just the way it is. I miss FF stores with walk-up windows but if they have to survive by being tucked away in a fast food joint, I’ll take it!

The parking situation is a disaster here. But you know it’s pretty healthy fast food. The chicken is always juicy and delish and don’t forget the salads. There all good. They always come up with new stuff and a good variety of it too. And now they have a 500 calorie and under menu and it’s pretty delish and filling. I got the Mango Citrus Tostada and it was delicious. It’s really not in a Tostada it’s in a wheat flat tortilla so it does deter you from eating it unlike the hard shell tortilla. But it’s honestly plenty of food. Drive thru is always slow and a disaster. So if you can go inside and do an order your better off. Food is great but I give them 4 stars cause it’s pretty dirty inside at all times. They never pick up the tables or clean them as often as they should. That’s why I opt out of eating inside. I always get it to go.

I like El Pollo Loco and I don’t think they get the credit they deserve for being a health fast food alternative. Granted, you can order some corn tortilla, burrito’s etc, but you can also choose salads that are actually delicious. The chicken is freshly grilled and there is a condiment buffet with sauces, fresh chopped onions, cilantro, pico de gallo etc. Prices are at par with other fast food restaurants such as Panda Express, but offer a significantly larger selection of fresh and healthier alternatives. It’s great for those of you watching your carb intake and don’t mind getting your hands a little dirty.
