Went late at night – around 10:30 and restaurant was full. Good service and good looking food. Ordered the fig pizza and chicken sandwich. The fig pizza tasted good for me even though my father disliked it. The chicken sandwich was alright, a little tough chicken but decent. The sandwich came with sweet potatoes that we ordered well done. Needless to say they came out normally cooked, but when we asked them to go back and be cooked a bit longer they came back out just a little warmer. We sent them back a second time and they actually put the fries in the oil that time – ended up being well done. Good place that some locals were hanging out at and gave us some information on the Hearst Castle(If you’re going on a tour of the castle, get there an hour earlier than your tour time and watch the imax movie they show that explains some of the history and castle itself).

A close relative of mine has had bad luck finding a place in town that serves a good steak. From bad cuts of meat to ball-shaped hunks of beef that are unevenly cooked, Cambria is a tough place to get a good old-fashioned steak. The slump was broken at our recent visit to Cambria Pub and Steakhouse. Steak was very good. It was still served as a lump of meat, but it was tasty and well-prepared. I had the prime rib special — it was a generous cut and exactly what I expected. Homemade chips were brought out instead of bread; they were not heavily salted and served with a light sauce of indeterminate origin, which was also good. Upstairs, where we ate, cloth napkins and tablecloths. So, that … if you have some out-of-town guests that need impressing and you don’t want to schlep over to the Lodge. Music started at 7. Do not expect a corporate-styled dining experience. It’s a nice steak place in an unusual collection of rooms upstairs and downstairs. Will go again.

Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and we’ll worth the price. Good beers on tap. Nice selection of liqueurs. Service is very homie and polite. Strongly recommend this place to locals and passers through.

I would NEVER ever return to this establishment. They showed they accepted Credit/Debit cards. M/C VISA etc. Then when the bill was processed they AUTOMATICALLY charged a 18% tip on too the bill, showed a total and then below the total had a line for you to add a tip to the invoice. If you weren’t looking close, you would have been charged an 18% tip on the cost of your meal and then added ANOTHER tip onto the balance. VERY sneaky and almost illegal the way the are doing it. I wonder how many people and been double dinged by this method of theirs. I tip based on service, not because I am SUPPOSED to. If a tip is not earned it should not be given. Look up the definition of «TIP». It is not AUTOMATIC. Then they charged for use of credit card ALSO!!!

Great pub, nice vibe and great beer choice. The food was good too, exactly what I expected for a pub meal so was happy with their kitchen.

Glad I came across this place since my friend and I are staying in Cambria and everything closes after 9pm on a weeknight. They’re open until midnight(unless it’s too slow, they’ll close it earlier). The waitress, Amber, was very, very friendly. She had a good attitude from start to finish that played a big factor in why I gave this place such good kudos. I ordered a Caesar salad & the spicy wings. My friend ordered a chicken grilled sandwich with fries. We also ordered a few beers as well. The food itself was good. My wings with the ranch they use were amazing. I was in heaven. My friend told me several times how much he liked the chicken sandwich. I tried his french fries and liked them a lot as well. Only problem that I had was the salad. Honestly, I love eating a Caesar salad wherever I go, but to be fair, the Caesar salad at this establishment is very poor. I was not impressed at all. I’ve had much better Caesar salads at other places for even cheaper. I was really bummed out that it wasn’t better than this. Other than that though, this place was phenomenal. Again, our waitress was very friendly & we were fortunate enough to be served by her. In terms of environment… They have a decent amount of flat screen tv panels around the bar area. So if you come in looking to watch sports, this place will surely accommodate you. Again, I’m so happy we stumbled upon this place and I’d definitely return if I have the opportunity in the future. Thanks again!

Awesome food, you could split a burger between two people. It was a bit busy and only had one server for lunch. He hauled ass though and was so kind. We were able to bring our dog and sit on the patio, that was a big + for us.

Very good. I’m surprised averaging only 3−½ stars. Friendly service and yummy food. Excellent cioppino, excellent ribs and excellent salads(kale was DElish!). Also great garlic bread and onion rings. High end sports bar plus lovely patio. Full bar with solid wine menu. Only spot in town we could find serving after 9pm. ;)

The best ribeye I’ve ever had was at the Cascade Grill in Albany Oregon. It now has been replaced by the Cambria Pub. If you like ribeye steaks-this is the place. You get two(2) salads, two(2)glasses of wine and a three(3) pound ribeye(yea thats right) served on a platter cooked to perfection and two(2) desserts for $ 80.00. You can practically cut it with a butter knife. The staff is attentive, the locals are friendly and if I were ‘gay” I would marry the chef.

Great portions, fair prices, and clean too. This place great! Was hoping for a late lunch and beer stop, and this place fit the bill for sure. Will definitely stop in again when we are in town!

potato fries were ok, the burger was amazing. Truly a nice juicy burger, nice sear, good medium color throughout. DIDNOT expect this since this was the ONLY restaurant open past NINEPM, yes, past 9:00pm!!! Cambria SUCKS and we were hungry, thank god our food didn’t suck, in fact I’d say this burger is one of the best burgers we’ve ever had.

I truly appreciate this pub opens til midnight because most other restaurants around here closes at 9−10pm. I ordered wings for appetizer, and they are fab! I should have ordered two! For main course, i ordered lamb shanks and hubs ordered steak. My lamb shanks was a bit of a disappointment but hubs loved his steak. Overall good place!

We were just making a quick stop through town and were very hungry, we normally stop at another place on Main street but changed our mind this time. Everyone wanted a burger, so of course I did a Unilocal search and this place came up. 3pm on a Sunday and it was dead in there, I first thought oh-no. The people working there are very friendly and attentive. We ordered 3 different burgers, all were really good, really big and the brioche buns are just amazing. I guess I mis-read the menu, but apparently when the bill comes all fries are a $ 1 additional charge(I thought just the sweet potato fries were). No big deal. There is some sort of «service fee» also tacked onto the bill, not sure what that was all about, but oh well. The food is good and I would go back again for sure.

Cute place with big portions! We came too early for dinner but the lunch menu was enough to satisfy our hunger. I had the fish and chips, 4 big pieces light and flaky. You will not see the restaurant off the Main Street so make sure you search for it!

Meh. They offer veggie patties, which I thought was cool, since many of these places(Cambria and several surrounding places to eat) boast Hearst beef everywhere you go. The food was OK. I ordered the Rosas burger with a veggie patty and was most impressed with the large, soft bun. My boy ordered the Cardiacs and it looked delicious. He agreed it was. We also ordered onion rings for an appetizer that were gross and full of fried grease. Good house ranch though. Originally, our waitress forgot to add them to our order and never brought them out. Then when we asked about them, she obliged and forgot to include them on the bill. Fair enough! Our waitress was nice. However, I overheard the bartender talking shit on one of the other waitresses to a couple customers for speaking to him while he was facing the cash register with his back turned to her. Thought that was pretty unprofessional of him and from the sounds of it, his comment sounded sexist and mightier-than-thou. What a douche. Not that I come here often. In fact, this is my first Cambria trip. Would come back to Cambria in a hot second? Absolutely. This place? Nah.

This place was actually better than we had expected. We came here looking for a really late dinner/meal, and we thought that all they’d have are purely bar/pub food like greasy fries or fried stuff. But, we were pleasantly surprised that they had a really good soup and a really good salad; perfect for what we were looking for after a weekend of indulging in unhealthy eating. That, plus the nice service we received, made our late-night trip to this tiny pub worthwhile.

I just want to say that I had the best burger ever at this place. I think it was called the Pico burger. It was spicy and we ordered it with avocado. Fantastic. We also ordered the calamari and it was dynamite as well. The bander was super friendly and gave me a tip on a brewery to visit(which turned out to be awesome) and the service was great. We’ll definitely come back next time through.

While driving along the PCH, my friends and I arrived at Cambria late in the evening with growling stomachs and ravenous appetites. Cambria Pub and Steakhouse was one of the only places that was open in that ungodly hour(it was just 10pm, but quiet little beach towns like this one go to sleep very early), so we decided to give it a shot. The first thing I noticed about this place was it’s ambiance — the ground floor had a traditional pub/sports bar style ambiance, which at that time was packed and lively. The floor upstairs had a cozy restaurant feel to it, which at the time had a live band performing there. That was pretty cool. In a way uncharacteristic of most restaurants, the owner of the place(I think?) actually gave us a little tour around the place and asked us where we would like to sit. That was heart-warming. But once we got the tour, our host excused herself, and in the meantime, we were offered to be seated by not one, not two, but three more folks of the wait-staff. In other words, the place was very friendly, but at the same time, pretty chaotic and disorganized. I really didn’t mind that though. I just thought that it was amusing. I ordered a Kale salad while my friends got sliders and burgers. My Kale salad was A-OK, but nothing to die for(can Kale salad ever be something to die for? hmm…). The real, unfortunate thing though was that it took ages for the food to arrive. Given the fact that I was already hungry, that wait time felt like eternity. The chaos and disorganization continued and it was pretty hard to catch hold of the person who was waiting our table. Oh well… In my Unilocal-reality, this place is a solid 3 stars. But the fact that the owners were trying so hard to do well, and the place seemed so novel(and open late), inclines me to a 4-star.

Some of the absolute best food, not only in Cambria, but in general. It’s rare to have every single thing you order turn out amazing, but this was the case here. Burgers were what dreams are made of, sliders the same. Salad with feta was phenomenal. Waitress was friendly, fantastic, and really went out of her way to help us with anything and everything. If you’re eating in Cambria, make this your stop. It’s completely worth it.

Just try to resist the tantalizing smell of meat on the grill as you walk down Burton, famished from your road trip to Cambria and probably a little tipsy from nearby wine tasting! It’s just not possible! Doesn’t matter if you weren’t hungry before — as soon as the breeze kicks up and those grilling aromas fly past you, you’re a goner. BF and I stumbled into the Cambria Pub and Steakhouse for lunch after enjoying a taste or 5 at the nearby Wine: Taste shop(seriously, they make an amazing apéritif!), and at noon on a Saturday business was lively without being crammed. The dining room is smaller than it looks from the outside but the coziness is quite welcome. The space also functions as a sports bar, but unlike many sports bars you can still enjoy a meal or a quiet drink there without being disturbed. I ordered up the French Dip with a side green salad with ranch(cuz I’m classy) and a hard cider to wash it down. No brand was indicated on their menu, but when you’re sadly not a beer fan and burnt out on wine, hard cider is a fabulous option. Imagine my delight when a bottle of Angry Orchard showed up, happy day! The French Dip was generous and tasty — the meat was a little drier than I would have preferred but the flavor was great and of course the au jus worked its magic, and for $ 10.95 it was a fabulous lunch! Cambria’s restaurants have an amazing array of unpredictability and price points — you never know who is going to deliver on good flavor without totally doing the tourist gouge. For folks on a modest budget but still looking for classic rustic eats, this is a perfect stop. I would definitely return for dinner!
