I love this bar, my brother in law came abt a year ago & had a bad experience, but my husband & I have always loved it. To each their own!!!

Hubby and I wanted to try this place since we saw a lot of people in line and read all the great reviews. We tried it today for the first time and it was delicious we had two carne asada regular tacos and a regular chicken burrito they were both yummy and the green salsa wasn’t too hot. We each had one taco each and split the burrito and it was more than enough food. I think we have found our new favorite place to eat in Cambria!

Came here for a carne asada burrito, was a couple dollars short not knowing it was ca$h only, bonis still gave me the burrito it was delicious. definitely coming back here when I got some cash on me to try out the chicken enchiladas and if those are good(assuming they will be) I will be sure to get me some tacos finally next time if they do me just as good as the first time I went there. The only downfall is that they close at 3:30! :(

Best Burrito we have had in a long time, and we live in LA! Go with the super size unless you just want a snack. We had one carne assada and one chicken, and both were delicious! The hot salsa is VERY hot.

Very delicious! Very friendly people. Fast and tasty. Potato taquitos are a huge win. Also enjoyed a bean, cheese, and rice burrito. Grilled to perfection. Bring cash $. Enjoy!

I love finding these types of places when traveling, after doing a search and reading a couple of their reviews it wasn’t a very difficult decision to exit the highway and track them down. After driving down the main drag we finally made the turn circled around climbed the hill and arrived at this small public storage store front. The location is a little odd but the food is amazing and the owners are unbelievably nice, it’s very simple as it should be. We grabbed a few beef tacos some chips and salsa and of course some of their flavorful hot sauce I can’t think of a better way to take a short driving break.

The best street tacos I’ve had outside of Los Angeles(& better than a lot I’ve had in LA as well!). Need I say any more? Ok. If you insist. This food truck has a staple location on the main drag of Cambria. But they’re only there until they run out of inventory, so don’t wait too long. My experience has been that they’re gone by 2 or 3 in the afternoon. My only wish is that they sold things other than your standard chicken, steak, pork tacos. I am a huge fan of lingua & would’ve loved to taste their take on it. Also, if you’re not a fan of onions or cilantro, don’t worry. They keep that off to the side so you can put as much or as little as you want on your tacos. Same goes for the sauce. Pick your spice level & quantity.

Best Mexican food in town! Prices are reasonable. My favorite is chorizo and bacon breakfast burrito. I usually get my food to go but they do have a few small tables outside.

Absolutely one of the best places in Cambria and the best Mexican food anywhere. We eat at Boni’s every time we visit Cambria and always take their food back with us when we are on the road home.

What a gem this is! They have a storefront in an industrial park during the week, and on Saturdays and Sundays they have a food truck on the main drag of Cambria. Let’s start with the chips and salsa. We had red, green, and chipotle hot sauce, plus a kicking, spicy fresh red salsa the table. The hot sauce or actually mild, whereas the salsa was quite spicy and bursting with flavor. We tried the potato taquitos, the veggie burrito, and al pastor pork tacos. The tacos were wonderful, some of the best I’ve had. Veggie burrito featured roasted pineapple, which added an element of sweetness. The potato taquitos were crispy on the outside, filled with yummy potato feeling on the inside, very good. A must try in Cambria.

My boyfriend and I were spending the weekend in Cambria and randomly came across Boni’s. THESEARETHEBESTTACOSWEHAVEEVERHAD and we live in Los Angeles. This place is so good that we went back twice before we headed home. The tacos were not greasy and oily. The meat was so tender and juicy. Although the tortillas did not seem to be hand made they were perfectly prepared and held the meat and salsa in place without breaking.

Outstanding al pastor tacos and chili verde burrito. Only get the super size burrito if you’re starving because it’s huge! Al pastor taco has pineapple which gives it an outstanding sweetness that plays well with the onion, cilantro, lime, and spicy salsa. The al pastor burrito didn’t come with pineapple so either order it in a taco or order pineapple in the burrito. Chili Verde was flavorful and tender. Great quality and a surprise to get such good Mexican food in Cambria. Make sure you bring cash, they don’t take cards.

I hit up Boni’s Taco truck on a stop from Phoenix to Portland. I had chosen to drive Pacific coast highway 1 and my friends has suggested I stop in the tiny quaint town of Cambria. I was driving so wine tasting was out of the question but grabbing a bottle and some tacos was not. Boni’s is a small food truck and they are friendly and quick at preparing your order. I recommend the tacos Al Pastor. Ask them to slice a bit of the roasted Pineapple onto your meat tacos. If you sit under the canopy at the food truck the have freshly chopped onions, cilantro, limes and three types sauces or salsa; red, green, and roasted. At my stop I tried the carne asada, chicken and al Pastor tacos. They also offer a variety of burritos including breakfast and tortas. It just hit the spot for a quick flavorful meal on a road trip. Thanks Boni’s Tacos!

Mexican approved! Boni’s could be in Santa Ana. Or Tijuana. My Signora says their al pastor is authentic and I say it’s delicious. If you are in the area, go out of your way to come here. It’s cut from the spit, slightly crunchy from the slow turning exposure to high heat, and sweet and meaty like it should be. Wow, from a truck. Screw the high priced tourist places around here. I would rather eat these tacos in the parking lot than any over-priced sea bass in the tourist traps.

Couldn’t find the truck so we scoped out thier little shop in the commercial district of Cambria. I wouldn’t have given this place a thought but when I noticed all the people surrounding the food truck I looked them up on Unilocal and saw all the positive reviews. So glad we tried Boni’s out before we went home, it’s now my favorite for authentic mexican food in Cambria. We had tostadas and the pastor tacos. Yummy good and use the lime to squeezed on them makes the flavors pop. I’m really glad the guy taking my order couldn’t speek english very well and misunderstood my order for one as three. Which we pigged out on gladly. The salsas are pretty spicy but very good. We are definitely trying the breakfast burritos in the morning. Can’t wait nom nom nom!

Best restaurant in Cambria. Hands down. No competition. Super delicious. Super cheap. If you’re stuffy don’t bother checking it out– it won’t be your scene. We are coming back for every meal the rest of our stay. (We have been to every restaurant in town for the most part– we know Cambria fare). Nom nom! Muy bien!!!

Living ANYWHERE in California, you are sure to find some killer authentic Mexican food, right? Until recently, I held the gloomy view that the Central Coast of California was missing the mark on both Chinese and Mexican food offerings. Yet, on my last trip to the North-County coastal town of Cambria, my POV was given the equivalent of a high-school wedgie after encountering a glorious Gordita. During the week, Boni’s Tacos operates out of a fixed restaurant off of the main drag in the Cambria city limits. On the weekend, the restaurant is shut down and the restauranteurs push their product on the pavement out of a food truck/trailer in the middle of town. «We tried to bring the food truck out about 10 years ago» the owner told me. «But the city didn’t like it. Now, with all of the food trucks around, we are approved to use our truck.» «It’s about time!» screamed the waiting public with their wallets open! It doesn’t take more than a quick glance to realize that Boni’s Tacos is the city’s most popular lunch option amongst locals and savvy tourists alike. Guests can nosh on tacos, gorditas, burritos, taquitos and quesadillas with a variety of meat choices including the AMAZINGCHILEVERDE! This cash-only cart is reasonably priced in a town filled with«resort» pricing and it is about as authentic of a Mexican experience I have had outside of Mexico!
