We have been to this place dozens of times over the last nearly 20 years and it’s generally been very good. Over the last year or so it’s really slipped as many restaurants do over time. But tonight was the worst food and service we have ever experienced here. I will give them this, it was Saturday on a Holiday weekend and it was busy. Our server was pleasant, but very inattentive. We had to ask more than once for refills on drinks from bus boys. We received our food. When I tried to cut into my Chicken it was hard and rubbery. I took a bite and it was like chewing on a sole of a shoe. Just awful. My husband took a bite to make sure I wasn’t exaggerating and he said it was really bad, something was very wrong with it. We asked the bus boy to take it back. The manager came over and offered to make a new one and apologized and we agreed knowing sometimes this happens. The others continued to eat and I ate the pasta that was left for me, which was delicious. I didn’t get my chicken replaced for at least. 20 minutes and the rest of the table was done eating already. We were celebrating my belated Birthday and my husband had requested a piece of Chocolate cake, my favorite be brought to the table. We waited and waited a good 10 min. more. We had to be somewhere before 9:00PM and it was nearly 8:30 by now. We could see the server chatting away in the bar. It irritated us since we had told her we were in a hurry. Finally we jut got up and went to the cashier. Seeing this the server came up and said she was waiting for the cake. I said it does not take over 10 min to cut a slice of cake. We had not seen her at our table nearly the whole night. Needless to say it got a little heated when she tried to defend herself with the manager, we left cake less and the manager apologized and gave us a certificate to go back. Not sure we will though. Makes me sad.

This place has an amazing bar with many delicious beer options as well as one of the most unique menus I have ever experienced. I had a difficult time choosing what to eat, but in the end it came down to price. The food is pricey, but you do get a hefty helping. You can’t go wrong with the chophouse burger and the Ahi poke appetizer. They have pretty killer breakfast options as well. Really good Huevos Rancheros which was a daily special. They have a Gaucho steak that looks amazing and seems to be one of the house favorites. I will definitely be back to try that.
