Tried this place for the first time today. I got the boneless honey bbq wings with fries. The meal came out out and the fries were fresh. I will be going back again.

I tried the AFR«Atlanta fried rice» with 5 wings combo. The hot lemon pepper wings were some of the best I have ever tried. I am a CERTIFIED wing snob also. The fried rice was awesome as always. My wife tried the philly cheesesteak fried rice and that was delicious too. One of my favorite places around.

After reading all the great reviews, decided to try it for myself and was not disappointed! The staff was so friendly! The menu was very diverse and unique. Tried the Philly and the potato, WOW!!! The Philly fried rice was great too! Have found a new place to eat! Will be back for sure and recommend to others!

We’ve eaten here numerous times. It’s an interesting menu combination: virtually any kind of fried rice you can imagine, wings, gyros, cheesesteak, and those crazy tornado potatoes which are amazing! I’m not a wing person, but I love the varieties of fried rice and the potatoes! So good! You do have to wait a little while, so don’t go if you’re absolutely starving. The restaurant is clean, cute, and tiny.

Have been here many a time since I live in the area. Always friendly service and the food has never disappointed me. Try the AFR and a peach drink! A tornado potato is quite tasty too. The lamb and beef gyro is also a winner. All food cooked to order and fresh. A nice place for some good food.

I stopped in for take out and got a number of items. Crispy chicken sand., AFR with cheese chicken, a Philly steak and some wings. Oh, and some potato tornados The wings were good. Not much sauce or it had dried up by the time we got home. The ranch and blue cheese dressings were from a jar. not homemade The rice was tasty but not much flavor. Crispy chicken sandwich was tasteless and over done. Which sucks because it looked fantastic. Maybe some additional condiments would have helped. The philly was tasty… but again it needed some seasoning. anything. salt, pepper. something. But I will say the potato tornados were really good. If everything was this good I would be giving atleast a 4, maybe 5. Kinda disappointed. Had high hopes. They are less than a mile from us. Sad Face. Maybe we caught them on a bad night. I would go back for the wings. if I didn’t have time for somewhere better.

The food is good but for what you get it is overpriced, in my opinion. It also sits below the main road so you can miss it if you’re not looking carefully.

My family and I have been to Philly Bistro numerous times and it is our favorite place for wings. We love wings and they do them perfectly. We also enjoy the Philly cheese steak sandwich, the chicken gyro, the egg salad, AFR(Atlanta Fried Rice), and the tornado potatoes. The food is prepared to order so it takes a little while, but it is consistently hot and fresh. The staff is very friendly, especially owner«Jimmy» and cashier Tamia. One nice feature is the window into the kitchen where you can watch your food being prepared. Despite the price increase in 2014 on the wings, it’s still a decent deal. To their credit, they posted a sign announcing the price increase a month in advance, and they listed the reasons for the increase.

This place has exceptional pricing, extremely clean. You must try the Tornado Potatoe, is different and satisfying. Cheesesteaks are okay, but I’m a philly transplant, so nothing will compare. But all the food is fresh and recommend to anyone to try this spot out.

Food is pretty good. Nice to have gyros without being inside a mall. However I walked in there at 7:44pm when they close at 8pm and was turned away. So I guess they really close at 7:44 and not 8. That was lame but I’ve been there a couple times and it’s decent.

The tornado potato is pretty good. And you may be questioning what the heck this is… I did too until the date said it’s something I had to try for myself. Their wings were okay. It wasn’t super wowing. Having eaten here twice already, I know their wings are decent most of the time. The staff here are super nice and friendly. They are very adorable and sweet. Philly Bistro is located in a mini mini complex right at the corner of the Walmart perimeter. When driving by, I don’t think you can even see the restaurant since it’s sort of on the back side and somewhat hidden.

After running errands, I ended up at the Walmart on Sardis Church. After getting my items(and then some — which never fails) I decided to look for something to eat in the area. As I’m checking out the reviews on Unilocal,I notice Philly Bistro. And, even better — they were VERY close. So, I close out of the app so I can go right next door to Philly Bistro… After all my stomach is beginning to scream at me. I close the app, but — Whoaaa! Wait a minute! Did I just see a review from RICHARD? I open it back up with haste! Yes! It’s a review from Richard! I love his reviews! That’s it! I’m definitely going now. So, I go across the parking lot, see the sign in the window, but it looks closed.(I missed the small sign pointing to it.) After calling, I was told that it was on the back side… facing the street. Food: I was impressed with the cleanliness of this cute little place. There was so much to choose from. Decisions. Decisions. I settled on the Philly Cheese steak and the tornado potato. OMG! The Philly was so hot and sooo good! The steak was seasoned very nicely. I wasn’t sure if I would like the tornado potato — especially after the guy warned me that it was sprinkled with ranch and Parmesan. I said, «eh, I’ll try it.» I am SOGLAD I DID! Party time in my mouth! I think I actually said«Ummm» out loud. Lol. I didn’t leave anything on my «plate.» I even like this place better than the other place I just reviewed and it was good too.(Not saying the name since it has nothing to do with this one. Just pleased that I had a pleasant surprise with the last few new places. Doesn’t always work out like that.) Well, that’s it for this one. Go check it out, if you haven’t already. Maybe next time(because there WILL be a next time) I’ll try the Gyro… or wings… or catfish… who knows.

Does the diet of a pregnant mother have any influence on what foods the baby in her belly will prefer later in life? My wife is(for the most part) a vegetarian. However, she craved chicken during her pregnancy with our first son and he seems to have that same appetite. She became carnivorous while carrying our second son going as far as to eat double quarter pounders and loads of Krystal’s burgers. The effect seems to be that he is a big meat eater(to my delight). My own mother told me she couldn’t get enough of potatoes while pregnant with me, and to this day I can barely eat a meal without having potatoes as a side. Well, today I was introduced to what just may be my favorite potato creations ever!!! — — — - — - — - — - — - — - THESCENE Boy was I craving a Gyros! I was like a crack fiend searching for a hit… I had to have one! I didn’t really want to drive the 55 minutes to Sessions in Marietta or the 45 minutes downtown to Nick’s, so I decided to give Philly Bistro(less than 10 minutes from my front door) a try. THEFOOD Why not choose Philly Bistro first? Well, I am SUPER picky when it comes to Gyros. Here they use the pre-sliced frozen gyros meat and I don’t particularly like the taste as much as the hand carved shanks of lamb rotating on a spit. Today however, I took whatever I could get and to my surprise it was actually pretty good! They served it piping hot with a fresh warm pita, veggies and I assume a home made sauce with feta cheese mixed in. I thought for sure I would dislike the meat, but it had good flavor and was very, very moist. I was extremely please, but then again, I was REALLY not very fussy today. As much as I liked the gyros, I really LOVED the«Tornado Potato» that I ordered on the side instead of fries. It is a whole potato sliced in a spiral cut and fried beautifully on a long corn dog like stick. I’m not sure what they used for a seasoning, but this delicious masterpiece was coated in something I can only describe as having a sweet cheesy flavor. It was soooooo good!
THEVERDICT I was so pleased that I went back for a second visit before I had a chance to post this review. Got another delicious gyros and also a kids order of their teriyaki wings. The wings were much too salty for my tastes, but I suspect many people would like them anyway. As for that tornado potato… I honestly don’t think I can live without it!

Who knew that this tiny, almost hidden place would have such amazing lemon pepper wings and tornado potatoes?! My family discovered this place over a year ago near the Wal-Mart and next to the Hardee’s closest to our house in Buford. Long story short, their lemon pepper wings are delicious — and they are now THEBEST lemon pepper wings I’ve ever had! Although Café Hot Wing 2 has amazing lemon pepper wings, they’re TINY. Philly Bistro’s wings are not too large(Taco Mac’s are HUGE) and not too small — they’re the perfect size. On Christmas Eve, my sister, Yoomee H., and I ordered 10 lemon pepper wings, made it a french fries combo(1 drink and and order of french fries) for an additional $ 1.59, and added one tornado potato. All this cost less than $ 11! Just 5 wings(along with the fries and tornado potato) can fill each of us up! LOVEIT! For those of you who have never had a tornado potato — it’s basically a WHOLE potato that is carved into a twisted shape and put on a stick, then fried and sprinkled with this amazing powdery seasoning that reminds me of the flavoring on sour cream and onion Pringles(odd, I know). So goood. It’s a MUSTTRY at this place. =) The owners are a sweet Korean couple who love to serve good food, hot and fresh! It’s cool that you get to watch them prepare the food(through a glass window) if you choose to. I love it when at least one of the owners is there because both the food AND service seem to be better. Plus, the owners don’t charge us for extra ranch(or bleu cheese for my siblings) while I guess their employees are supposed to. The quality of their wings(size and taste) has had its ups and downs, but the last time we were there, they were PERFECT. Hopefully they will keep this up! Overall, my favorite hot wings restaurant, Philly Bistro, gets 5 stars! Bonus points for being close to my house! =) Thanks, and happy new year, ahjussi and ahjumma!~
