I wanted to grab a quick lunch before heading to the Blvd Mall, so I stopped by the Corner Bakery for a bite to eat. And might I add, it was very quick! I ordered my food and got it at my table in less than ten minutes. I chose the Café sized, Asian Wonton Salad. This was my first time here, so I was not too familiar with the café sized vs. the«Entrée» sized salad. And let me just say, if you are hungry do NOT just order the café size salad. I was still hungry after finishing it. And what made it worse was that it cost me $ 8! Now the salad was good, and I will probably go again, but I will most likely do a combo to get my money’s worth.

Their Anaheim breakfast panini with oven roasted potatoes and a truffle mocha is the kind of breakfast that will make your day!

If my experience is typical then this place is awful. I approached the ordering area from a distance read the overhead menus for 10 seconds when I was barked at, are you ready to order? I’m thinking, hello to you too. I near the squirrelly college kid behind the counter. I would like a hot tea. He’s totally put out to tell me the tea options. The rest of the transaction was equally charming. The pro: the tea was the correct temperature.

I’m not typically a fan of chain stores(and especially restaurants), but I was won over by CBC when a friend served one of their pastries at a party. Unlike most commercially baked goods, it was actually fresh and delicious; it tasted home-made. So, I was excited to check out the store one afternoon when looking for a quick breakfast in the northtowns. I wasn’t disappointed. They were able to adapt several of their options for a vegetarian diet, and the food was quite tasty.(Definitely a step up from Panera!) The dining area is spacious but broken up nicely so it still feels like you could hunker down with a book/laptop and a cup of coffee – just like a «real» coffee shop. It’s a chain and doesn’t have the appeal(to me) of a locally owned place, but it’s still a good option if you’re in the area and looking for a «coffee house» vibe.

Pros: It’s cute and comfortable. It gives you the feeling that warm-hearted feeling that you can talk with a friend in very comfortable seating arrangements. You can find a small booth or tables/chairs that will fit your needs… there’s an overflow of seat options(but never really an overflow of people). They have menus for when you’re standing there waiting for your owner, which allow you to be alive and ready when it’s time to finally place your order. I appreciate that a lot, because I feel bad for people waiting behind me when I couldn’t see the board to begin with. Nice little touch. Cons: My major complaint is that it’s vastly overpriced. I ordered a turkey sandwich and it was pushing $ 8.50 for a couple of pieces of bread, turkey, lettuce, tomato, and guac. It wasn’t even double stacked… like, there was no optical illusion that made you think you were eating a lot. It was a sandwich cut in half and that was your meal. That feels so insulting. Don’t cut a sandwich in half and call it a meal. Needless to say, I left feeling hungry. My sandwich wasn’t that great, either. It’s food, it’s edible, but the taste was just not there. Overall, you’re much safer trying one of the many family-owned restaurants on Sheridan and investing your money into the community rather than Corporate Business Café.

I wasn’t thrilled, but wasn’t disappointed either. I got a seasonal turkey sandwich, that was topped with stuffing and cranberries. It was pretty good! I also got a side of broccoli and cheese soup, not as good as Panera’s. I had a free«corner combo» coupon from work so I decided I would try this place out. I couldn’t say if it is expensive or not because I didn’t have to pay anything. However I was really disappointed to see their lemons were really old and moldy at the drink station. :( The staff was pretty nice, nothing phenomenal.

First timer, went for breakfast around 7. I would have given this place one star, but I’ve only been here once and may give it another shot in the future. So I got the avocado power flat or something like that, a double espresso, and a bagel. My sandwich had no tomatoes(it happens), but that wasn’t the only problem. The flatbread tasted old and the«cheese» looked and tasted like plastic. It was not melted, it just hardened and was gross. The eggs really lacked flavor. The only thing that appeared fresh was the spinach. As for my drink, I ordered it and the barista completely forgot about it and after about 5 – 7 minutes, I went back up to the counter and it was sitting on the machine. that was pretty weird and we were the only customers there so there wasn’t a rush. Needless to say, it was cold and the overall experience was not pleasant whatsoever. PS: they have a service fee if you want to dine in rather than take out.

Usually the food is pretty decent for the value. I ordered the chicken carbonara pasta tonight at 6:30pm. About 7:30pm, I was throwing up through my butt. Also, it was cold and dry as if it was an old order that was sitting around gathering that wonderful ECOLI. Why go on a diet if you can eat at this treasure of a place?

Good food. Nice workers. Over-priced. I really wanted to like this place. It was promising, but it’s just too expensive. It’s a nice touch that they bring the food right to you, but not enough to justify the cost. If you go here once in a while, it might be okay, but this is not an everyday spot.

I first discovered corner bakery living in Baltimore and it was my go to spot when I didn’t feel like getting chipotle on those days I did not have time to cook. I assumed it was just another Panera spin off but I was wrong. The food here is way better, especially their breakfast! I absolutely love the Anaheim scrambler; sometimes I have more bacon than avocado, sometimes my eggs are overcooked, and sometimes I have a generous amount of cheddar… This shows me that it’s actually made by hand unlike the microwave gods of Panera. This is a quick pick if you want a lot of healthy options and you don’t have the time nor the energy to cook.

For Breakfast? Corner Bakery is better than Panera. That’s right I said it. I’m sure the senior citizens are putting pen to paper in protest of me… But If you want a real breakfast, with eggs. That’s tastes fresh, healthy and delicious without the greasy, gross feeling you get leaving Denny’s or IHOP, go to Corner Bakery! The Anaheim Scrambler with avocado slices is the BEST breakfast dish served by any local restaurant. Hands down. So good! My only complaint? Why did they close down the restaurant on Transit Rd?!? For the love of God, PLEASE open up a second restaurant back on Transit so we don’t have to pull out our hair on that stretch of Niagara Falls Blvd! I pledge to come often!

Corner Bakery Café, you have won my heart over. I’ll go here over Panera Bread on most days. Now mind you, I’m basing this on the one sandwich I had, but it was a phenomenal sandwich. I also really like the layout of the café and find it to be super cozy with lots of booths. Ideal for studying or working, but be weary of their wifi. Not the fastest. What is this sandwich? It’s called the«SpicyAsian Pork Sandwich» and it is seriously delicious. Perfectly slow-cooked pork, on a toasted fluffy bun with cole slaw, jalapenos and a side of tangy barbeque sauce. The pork in the sandwich really hits a home room. Melt in your mouth tender and delicious — with the crunch of the coleslaw. I finished that sandwich off in 10 minutes(and it was pretty large) because it was so good! I just didn’t have the self control to take half of it home. The café itself is nice. I like that they bus you the food, rather than having you pick it up like at Panera. Corner Bakery Café really does model itself after Panera, but that’s totally fine with me because I’m a fan of both and now I know where to get a delicious pork sandwich.

This review is in regards to corner bakery’s muffins only! I am not talking about any of their other food only their muffins! Thank you! The first time I ever had a corner bakery muffin was from a salesman who brought in quite an assortment. I have never seen such beautiful muffins! They even tasted great too, however, that’s where the beauty ends! 20 minutes after ingesting one of these little beauties– I had to make a mad dash to the men’s room where I had horrible stomach cramps and disgusting diarrhea– to the point where I had to leave work and go home! Never in my wildest dreams did I think it was from the muffin! Who would? About a month later one of my coworkers brought in an assortment of muffins. This time I had a blueberry muffin– which again looked and tasted delicious! Guess where I was 20 minutes later? You got it! This time I did not go home but rather stuck it out and was miserable the rest of the day! 2 days later I heard 2 women talking about the same thing happening to both of them after eating muffins from here! I was just sure there was no such connection– so I went to corner bakery myself and picked out a banana muffin– yep! I barely made it home in time! After looking on line I see where other people have had the same problem and feel these muffins are heavily laden with oil and cause a lot of GI problems! All I know is I don’t eat the muffins anymore and I feel fine!

Plenty of room and seating and halfway decent food as far as I can tell. The Anaheim Scrambler omelet is pretty good but for some reason they serve it with dry toast and both times I ordered it, they got my «fruit or potatoes» wrong. I tried a fruit(«fruit only») smoothie(carrot, orange, ginger) recently which turned out to be devoid of ginger(and apparently carrot) and loaded with sugar even though they told me it had no added sugar. It reminded me of an Orange Julius from the mall and I couldn’t even drink half of it — blech. It’s a great place to meet with people and they even have a separate room for meetings which has large tables and a projector in it and also WiFi(that kind of sucks actually) but I would never make a habit of eating food at this place because what they serve seems to be mostly bread based like Panera. If you want decent food, go next door to Moes.

I was in Buffalo and was staying near this café, so I thought to stop by. The place great! First of all it was very appealing and the place was quite big with types of seating area. There menu was quite large and had it all from lattes to muffins… and sandwiches to paninis and it went on. The also had free Wifi which was excellent. I tried their Vanilla latte and it was quite good but the thing which caught me off guard was they chocolate muffin… which was awesome! Its a bit price just a high end caffe!

When you first enter Corner Bakery Café, you most likely will think you have entered a clone of Panera Bread. Yes; the two are quite similar. You order up front and wait for the food. However, a few differences stand out: (1) Corner Bakery gives you a number that you place on the table and has someone bring the food out to you — no waiting for a pager to buzz to signal you to go to the pick-up counter. (2) Corner Bakery has no place to leave your dirty dishes. You leave them on the table for the staff to pick up after you leave. (3) At least at this location, the tables are more widely spaced than at Panera. However, that can change by adding more tables should business grow. In terms of food, the offerings are pretty similar, although Corner Bakery has a few choices not found at Panera. The sliced meatballs on sourdough bread sandwhich was quite tasty. They also offer a club panini on sourdough bread, which also was worth having. Corner Bakery has a pretty wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and soups, judt like Panera. They have a better variety of breakfast foods, which might be the deciding factor. If you think Panera is the greatest place ever, or are somewhat enthusiastic about it, you will probably wonder where Corner Bakery has been all your life. If you are more comme-ci comme-ca about Panera, then Corner Bakery may be a mild upgrade.

I had always gone to the location on Transit Road, but it recently closed… so I guess this is my new«CBC». Yup… it’s a chain… Yup… it’s kind of homogenized and cookie-cutter(with mighty good cookies in fact… got to love my own puns!). But, it’s clean. There are lots of choices. There’s free wi-fi. And everything I’ve tried(soup, salads, sandwiches, and pastries) tastes very, very good. On my most recent visit I had a free(!!!) birthday pastry of my choice for signing up for their email list(gotta love that!!!). My cinnamon roll… warmed(thank you very much) was HUGE, gooey, sweet, and DELICIOUS. Happy, HAPPY birthday to me :-)
