Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Un-​real!
I was traveling for work in buffalo area, 6 hours from home, when I was broad-​sided. The car was towed to Northtown Toyota, big mistake there too.(that’s another story)
I rented a car from this Enterprise. Two weeks into the rental, I was called by this place asking me to return the vehicle because it was sold. And they wanted it back that day. I was over 4 hours away from Buffalo at the time. Needless to say, they got it back next time I was Buffalo area.
So we swapped our cars. I returned the vehicle that was sold and took out another vehicle.
Two weeks later, yep, they sold that one out from under me again. Twice in one month. Why rent a vehicle if you know it is bring sold… Again they wanted it now. They waited till my car was done three days later before I returned it.

Great service, very helpful. If using a debit card to leave your deposit, bring a recent pay stub and a utility bill. Just a heads up.

I’m being generous with the one star… I always rent from Enterprise, and usually pick up my cars at the airport location. This time I had to pick up at Sheridan. My pickup time was 11:00, and I walked in the door at 11:05. There was one person behind the counter, and the phone was ringing off the hook. He was trying to check me in, and at the same time juggle 6 calls. He was really pleasant, and trying his best — I felt for him.
Then he tells me that they are bringing my car from the location «around the corner» and that it should be here any minute. If my reservation was for 11:00, why wouldn’t my car be here at 11:00? So I take a seat. The other couple sitting in the seats were waiting as well. The first car they were getting needed brake work, so they have been waiting for car #2 for almost an hour! So now, the man behind the counter texts the person bringing my car to see what’s taking so long. The SUV that I am supposed to be getting needs an oil change, so they are subbing another SUV in it’s place. Fine, it’s on it’s way from «around the corner». It is now 12:00, and I am still sitting here.
Wait, it gets worse! So now car #2 for me has issues, and they are bringing car #3. Am I supposed to feel safe at this point??? The person delivering the car is 10 minutes away, and it is now 12:15. At this point I am approaching sainthood because I haven’t freaked out yet. As I sit there contemplating walking out, the car arrives. It’s 12:30 and I have a five and a half hour drive ahead of me, and a dinner meeting that I will barely make. The very apologetic man from the counter says not to worry about the tank of gas I typically pre-​pay for since I was so patient.
After a quick look at the exterior I hop in the car and take off… Only to discover that the car is filthy inside and has less than a half tank of gas. After some photo documentation I will be sending a well-​crafted letter to Enterprise.

great service, they came and picked me up and were very nice. Even recommended some places for me to visit while I was in the area and gave me a map.
