This McDonald’s had the best customer service of any McDonald’s I have ever been to! My family and I went there for breakfast and after we were seated an employee came over with a toy basket for my two year old son to pick toys from to take home! Also, another gentleman(maybe the owner?) came over with a pot of coffee to refill our coffees!

Oh McShell, how the Buffaloes love you, that is, until they turn 16 and realize they can drive to a much better life outside of the intersection of Arlington Heights Rd. and Route 83. As previously stated in reviews by others, this McDonald’s is located inside of a gas station, next to the aisles of bachelor dinners consisting of canned chili and displays of pork rinds. The setup for drive-thru is horrible, and it’s impossible to make a turn onto Arlington Heights Road(left OR right) after receiving your bag of slop, so your food is bound to get cold on your way to the kiddos’ karate class. What drops the rating from an average 3-star to 2-star is that frequently, orders are incorrect. I have made several calls once I returned home to express my hatred when I realize my food was delivered incorrectly. And I say«delivered», because I guarantee you will be asked to pull over to the parking lot to wait for your food from the drive-thru. Phone calls to this location are useless, as they seem to not care, and just tell you to return(at your convenience, so props to that I guess), but they don’t require any information from you, or seem to care which order they messed up. So I challenge all of you to just show up, tell them that you are Gordon, and that they screwed up your order. You’ll probably get a Big Mac and an order of fries, with an apple pie for free. You’re welcome.

This is hands down THEBEST McDonald’s I have ever been to! I was with my 3 kids and the dining room was spotless. The staff is very friendly. The owner was there and went out of her way to ask me if I needed anything for myself or my children while we were eating. The food was hot and fresh! I would HIGHLY recommend this McDonald’s to anyone!!!

On April 20th2012 going through the drive-through, I ordered the 2 cheeseburger meal and also a cheeseburger kids meal. When my family opened the food at home all of it was cold, the fries were wilted and cold and the cheeseburgers were cold with the cheese completely unmelted. To top that off, the toy in the kids meal was for a boy, when it was clearly communicated that the meal was for a girl. I was too tired to deal with calling and explaining the situation, so we barely ate any of the food and threw out the rest. I put into my mind that I would go back the next day and request a refund. On April 21st2012 at approximately 1pm, I visited the McDonalds, and I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came over, and I let her know what happened. She proceeded to deny that it was possible for the food to be cold and became very defensive. I told her I wanted my money back and that it was unacceptable to serve that type of food. At this point, she asked where’s the food and whether I called the night before to let them know what happened. She was very rude and obnoxious and I tried explaining to her that I am not going to keep cold food around for a whole day and let it sit there and bring it to her and it was too late for me to call and that I was tired and hungry and did not want to deal with issue. At one point she told me I was wrong. In the end she replaced the food out of anger. Even the replacement food was barely edible. BEWARNED!!!

This McD’s is attached to a gas-station. This being said, I do not eat inside. I always get it to-go. For some reason, being attached to a gas-station just kind of lowers the appeal.

In the back of this Shell station is a small ghost of a real McDonald’s restaurant. The food is about the same. The staff is harried and somber. The crowd is Moms with kids, service men, and Cops. Be aware.
