The last time I visited KBF I said I was going to try the Carne Asada fries! They didn’t disappoint! The meat was delicious. It was very seasoned. I would get this again. We also got an order of chili cheese fries. They were tasty too. However next time I would add some sour cream. The last time I visited KBF I said I was going to try the Carne Asada fries! I think that the only other thing missing is the option to add salsa! Oh and the garlic fries are Delish too. Overall, I really enjoyed my fries! I’ll be back for sure! I haven’t read the other reviews so I’m not sure why the 2.5 stars but I really enjoyed my fries! I’ll be back for sure!

When I came in, the line was pretty long & it was about a 20 min wait. The workers were very nice & got me my food as soon as they could. I ordered the carne asada fries, & it was pretty good but the guac didnt taste so great. Overall, i liked it(:

I got fries with all kinds of toppings and got food poisoning. Seriously! Then I called Knotts and made a complaint about it and the person that answered pretty much said I was lying and that nobody else had called and complaint about getting sick. He told me he would look in to it and get back to me. It’s been about 6 months and still waiting.

I mean they are ok it if ur an impatient person u would hate the wait we ordered at 3:08and got it at 3:38… 30min wait mind u waited 15min to order … Giving u guys a honest review. Fries are tasteful but they should serve more carne asada its shredded so it seems like a little at least my box… look at pictures to see !

~Nacho Fries! Nacho Fries! Nacho Fries!~ ~~~Get The Nacho Fries!!~~~ Oh crap, my next review awaits… I totally forgot to give this joint my 4-stars for giving us the most Bang for our Bucks! After all night of running around screaming, laughing, and almost crying… we chickie poos got Hangry(*urban dict). We walked around quite a bit to grab something decent to eat that was going to leave us both temporarily satisfied. Amusement park food, IMO, is expensive for what they provide –mediocre to meh, bites. We weren’t ready to leave yet, having so much fun –even burning calories, lol. Potatoes and you can add meat for around $ 10?! Sure it’s greasy but hey, it calmed down our growling tummies, at least until we were ready to leave for REAL food. Pretty good size portion too. One of my biggest pet peeve’s spending too much and NOT being satisfied. Next time I’m at Knott’s, faced with the same dilemma, I’ll remember to stop on by La Papa Loca’s.

No Bueno. Why is there a line of people waiting to buy this stuff? Waffle fries weren’t freshly made. They were limp when I got them. We also ordered the nacho fries. Everything was not good and shortly after I ate the nacho fries my stomach started hurting. Ugh! Should’ve listened to others reviewers because I regret coming here.

I know it is just fries… but, they were super good! –I didn’t get sick(as noted by other Unilocalers). –My fries were super hot, fresh out of the fryer. –The combination of toppings on each type of fries we got were pretty tasty. –They gave a lot of fries. In fact, I couldn’t finish mine. I got full. I think that the only two issues I had with the place was caused by the length of time it took for the order to be completed, and because they were pretty expensive. Two orders of fries and a drink was over $ 30. I guess I can’t complain about that. Everything at Knott’s is overpriced. :-(

Visited Knott’s Berry Farm on Friday, July 10, 2015. It was not very crowded but my son wanted some garlic fries so I went to La Papa Loca in Fiesta Village. I waited 45 minutes to get an order of French fries! That’s ridiculous! There are three windows but only two were open. The employee at the window takes the order, gets the drinks, then leaves the window to prepare the fries, delivers the fries, and finally takes the money. VERYINEFFICIENT! Disneyland would NEVER run their business that way. They have one person take the orders and the money, while another person gets the food and delivers it to a nearby window… quickly! Knott’s should take lessons from Disneyland on customer service. They always cater to their guests. I guess that’s why Disney is so much more successful than Knott’s. If my son were not autistic and had his mind set on garlic fries, no way would I have waited so long. I would NEVER recommend La Papa Loca to anyone.

Fries were aight at best. Money paid würst amount of money for them and there was so much grease. Like the fries were just bathing in grease. I didn’t get mud but so I guess it’s not as bad as it could be. Würst

I actually like this place. I’ve tried four different papa combos and my fave has been bleu cheese which is no longer on the menu and the volcano. I don’t go to Knott’s often, but when I do I always hit this place up. Service is slow like every other place at Knott’s and sometimes the employees are snobs like the idiot who attended me yesterday.

Had the carne asada fries. They looked fine and tasted good. 30 minutes later I was running to the nearest bathroom. Diarrhea! Major diarrhea. Yeah, gross. Stomach cramping and all that. Never again! It almost ruined the day but I’m a trooper I suppose.

This was all I talked about before going to Knott’s this past Saturday. I was going to get my Carne Asada fries and then trek over to Calico Saloon for a cold beer to go with them. Sadly, La Papa Loca ran out of carne asada about 3 hours before the park closed. WTF?!? I was so disappointed but noticed the Nacho Fries looked just as good. Low & behold, they were out of Pico de Gallo too! I ended up getting them without the pico and even though they were tasty, it wasn’t what I initially wanted. Knowing that one of the best parts about going to an amusement park is food, you would think they’d have enough to last the whole day up until closing.

I’ve tried the volcano fries(topped with cheese, grilled onions and thousand island) – pretty tasty. I’ve also tried their carne asada fries(topped with carne asada, cheese, sour cream and guacamole) – which was just ok. My biggest complaint was that the guacamole tasted and felt factory made – blech. Staff was usually friendly enough. The line can be long.

The chili looked and almost tasted like dog food I’m so sorry I threw it away it was so bad I even got diarrea. FYI Knotts have your employees do the fries fresh in Ted of just sitting there

This lil spot is in the fiesta village. These fries are truly awesome but portions are huge. Usually we order one order and share with the kids. Also they aren’t the cheapest but like I said portions are huge. I look forward to eating these fries on our knotts trips. Def worth a try if u(like me) are a French fry junkie

Papas Locas is a small French fry counter service restaurant in the Fiesta area of Knotts Berry Farm. I was craving French fries, as is often the case, I recalled seeing this spot on a previous visit to Knotts. The«restaurant» has a couple of walk-up windows and a selection of French fry concoctions. I debated between the Carne Asada fries and the Garlic Parmesan fries before deciding on the latter. I’ve tried various garlic fries at baseball games and restaurants before but I think these were the best. The garlic butter was delicious and there was a good amount of parmesan sprinkled on top. The serving size was huge and way too much for me to eat on my own. I wish there would be half orders available for lighter eaters. At $ 8 with tax, these aren’t the cheapest fries but you are in a theme park so higher prices are to be expected. I was disappointed in their choice of ranch dipping sauce. It was a Hidden Valley packet, like you would use on a salad. Not what I had in mind, especially for the extra $ 1 charge, and I declined the ranch.
