The worst food. Cold, not fresh, and it gave me heartburn… super expensive not worth it.

The Coasters Diner at Knotts Berry Farm is a retro 50’s diner that made me feel as if I’d stepped straight out of the 2016 amusement part and back into the world of American Graffiti. Pastel Pink and turquoise blue striped walls and black and white checked floor tiles with accents of red and turquoise created the period look and the golden oldies playing(I assume) off the Wurlitzer juke box set the tone for a trip about 10 years farther down memory lane than I’m capable of traveling having only been born in 1965. The feel was so authentic I almost expected to see female customers wearing poodle skirts and males sporting ducktail hair. Almost. I don’t know how long the wait was as I was visiting the park with a friend and her family; The parents volunteered to stand in line and order our food while their children and I waiting in line to ride the nearby ride Wipe Out. I got the better end of that deal, I’m sure, as they had just received their food as the boys and I walked into the restaurant. We ordered an assortment of burgers and chicken strips, all of which came with fries. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at the large quantity of food that arrived with each order. Normally amusement park prices are jacked up high and the portions are only average so it was a definite win to see how large the portions were. My burger was actually very good, not just ‘good for an amusement park’. There was a decent serving of ground beef in the burger, not just a flat fast food patty. It came with leaf lettuce(not shredded) sliced tomato, sliced onion, and a pickle. The bun was fresh, vegetables were cool and crisp, and the burger patty nice and hot. The fries were thinly sliced, crispy, and steaming hot. I tried a bite of the chicken strips and they were hot and moist with crispy breading and came with a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing to dip them in. Five of us split four meals and had some fries and a chicken strip left over, THAT’S how much food there was. Anyway, the atmosphere was fun and the food pretty good. I’d definitely eat here on my next visit to the park.

The kids in my family are picky eaters so this is always our go to spot. This 50’s diner themed burger joint is so cute and the food is fairly decent. Amusement park food is expensive and this location is definitely not an exception. A chicken strip meal combo and a classic burger combo cost me around $ 35 which wasn’t all that bad. The chicken strips are my favorite here. You cannot go wrong with an order of crunchy golden brown chicken strips laid over a bed of crispy fries. The strawberry milkshakes are the cherry on the top if you’re craving something sweet to accompany your meal.

Staff was nice. It’s a cute little place. I hate the prices but I didn’t expect anything less. Almost $ 20 for a hamburger meal. $ 6.50 for a shake. But it was good. The only thing that made make a face was the straws for the shakes. I almost popped a vein in my neck using the tiny straws they have for the shakes. 4 Chicken nuggets $ 9.30…that’s insane but they were good.

We went to lunch at 2:30, which is not a peak lunch rush time. This is the type of place where you order at the counter and then pick up your food. It took us over 25 minutes to get our food after we ordered. I noticed they had a lot of orders sitting out ready from the kitchen, but the people calling the numbers did not seem to be organized in getting them to the person that ordered. The food was ok, but nothing special considering the amount we paid($ 15 for a burger combo with fries and a drink). The restaurant didn’t seem to be too clean either. They have these decorative jukeboxes and someone had shoved fries and god knows what else into the one at our table. It looked like it had been there for a loooong time and no one wants to look at festering food while eating.

Had a great time at Knott’s last weekend. Stopped in to Coasters Diner on the Boardwalk. Enjoyed an all beef Hot Dog and Chili Fries. Best part of the meal was the service with a smile from Emily. Food was a bit pricey since the HD doesn’t come with a combo. It is an amusement park so you kinda have to expect to pay more though.

Makes sense that Waiter Service is a «No» for this location. I’ve worked in customer service in many aspects from being a server to working at a resort and I have never seen anything as ridiculous as this. I took some out-of-state family friends to Knott’s today and to my regret, decided to dine here for lunch. We ordered two chicken tender entrees and when my number was called, I saw that there was only one chicken tender entrée and one hamburger. I notified them that the order was wrong and to my surprise, the worker named Ruth told me that I could not change my order because that’s what it said on the receipt. I responded with«but that’s not what I ordered». Ruth, with really bad attitude, took a look at the incorrectly inputted receipt once again and pointed to the orders once, showing me that the receipt had both the burger and the chicken tenders on there. I was already heated at this point. She then called over Dayshannay who just abetted what Ruth previously said. Honestly so redundant. I could care less about what the receipt stated. I know what I had ordered and that was not it. Thankfully I spoke to Theo, the cashier, and he resolved the issue by telling them that it was okay to give me the correct order. Afterwards, Ruth just dusted her hands and left, gathering with a few other workers there whispering and gossiping and who knows what else. No apologies, no nothing. I didn’t mind that they came out with the wrong order. People make mistakes. It’s just the way they dealt with it. They did absolutely nothing to try to resolve this issue and I was the one who had to walk back and forth from the cashier to the food servers to fix a mistake made on their part. I feel bad for the guests I brought that they had to experience such disappointing behavior from such a prestigious theme park. I wasn’t a fan of the food or its price either, but I didn’t really mind because after all, we were at an amusement park. But please also remember to restock on your condiments. Shouldn’t be too difficult of a task because there are only three? So for future reference, please DONOT argue with the customer about what they ordered especially when the mistake was made on behalf of the restaurant. At very least, pretend to fix your mistake. Thanks and goodbye. Never coming back here again.

Rides were good and good selection but fast pass for $ 55 was a little expensive on top of entrance ticket. I have to say they try to keep the restrooms clean at all times. The Bear Creek Lodge was very good loved the condoments bar. The burgers were good and large.

It’s redundant to say, amusement park food= over priced BUT when there is a Johnny Rockets here that serves up the exact same kind of food for much much cheaper I’d have to go with that. I just can’t justify paying $ 15.25. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and go to JR’s.

This Burger and Shake Diner at Knott’s Berry farm was the first place we ate at during our visit. We ordered a variety of items ranging from cheeseburgers, fries, chicken tenders, and milkshakes. This place is referred to as the«Coaster’s Diner» on line and at the park. They offer a 50’s theme. The cheese burgers were pretty good. The meat was no doubt of the previously frozen variety, as a result, although meaty and providing that charbroil flavor, the patties tended to be a little on the dry side. The tomato slices were all large and fresh, the lettuce crisp, and the bun moist and topped with sesame seeds. The cheese was typical American Cheese, not that there is anything wrong with that. The French fries that came with the burgers were surprisingly quite good. They were crisp yet tender cam with a nice touch of seasoning. The Chicken tenders too were of the frozen variety but they were well fried. The breading was a crunchy golden brown and the all white chicken meat inside was tender and not dry. These tender came served on a pile of light golden brown french fries. Good tenders. The milkshakes we enjoyed were thick and creamy and had a good natural ice cream flavor. Service was pretty good but rushed, however quite understandable. After you order you wait at the counter of seat, until you order comes out and placed on the counter. The order came out in good time and the employees busily walked about clearing and wiping tables that needed it. The food was pricy than normal, but that goes along with the theme at theme parks.

This is your standard KBF fare. For 15.29(tax included) you get your choice of four combo meals that include fries and a drink. Choices are Southwest Cheeseburger, Classic Cheeseburger, Chicken Sandwich or Chicken Tenders. They also have several al la carte items. I give this ace five stars for overall value, speed, available seating and taste compared to other park food. You get good value here. There is about 3 – 4 times the food mass as a happy meal and one chicken nugget meal is plenty for me and two boys under 10. Although no means cheap I don’t feel like someone took my wallet when I visit here. This restaurant/God stand is located in the back of the park by the Sky Cabin and Coast Rider. It has a 50s diner theme. Compared to Disney and the other parks they have good solid basic food that you know the kids will eat.(Mine are picky eaters so I appreciate someplace unlike Disney that has the basic stuff)

We love Knotts! My partner and I are here all the time because we have annual passes. I’m specially writing to acknowledge Lisa. She was one of the ride attendants at Xcelerator. She’s really nice and she made our day! We laughed while we talked to her in line so much, and she made us happy!!! :) please acknowledge her! :). We have fabulous times here!!!

It is in an amusement park. It is overpriced. We had to wait a long time. The supposedly spicy burger was not spicy. Wish we would have tried the fried cheese on a stick instead.

Really recommend buying the all day dine option for $ 30. Starts at 11:30am and you can order every 90min and the food is enough for two people. Pretty much all combos are $ 14.99 at different places. I purchased it and my wife and I ate at different places throughout the day. At coasters we shared the southwestern burger and fries. Perfect for on the go! The chicken place by Big Foot Rapids is pretty good also. Leaving the park we ordered a cheese burger to go. Took it home to our son for dinner. Great Deal!

Food was good, but over priced. Drinks in the combos don’t get free refills. They didn’t ask if I wanted to upgrade, pay more money, so that I could get a refill.

I don’t get the low reviews. This place is in a theme park people. It’s cute, diner appeal had me swooning. Doo Wop music bumpin, classic small diner menu. I ordered the southwest burger which came out like a freakin G. Sloppy, big, hearty & flavorful. The patty was cooked on a flat top, tender beef and delicious accouterments. The flavor was definitely there and seriously, this is hands down probably the best food item the park has to offer-aside from the seasoned fries with ketchup and possibly(because I haven’t tasted it)-Mrs Knotts Chicken Dinner. An added treat? A doo wop group of dudes strolled in and sang a Capella complete with big bopper and the temptations’ dance moves.

I understand that it’s located in a theme park, but I don’t think that justifies an order of fries being $ 5. And they weren’t even that great :( I think it was around $ 15 for a burger combo. I’m sure the park must have better places than this. I’d rather buy a funnel cake or churro sundae.

While walking around Knott’s Berry Farm I kept smelling char-burgers; so naturally, I started craving one. We stopped by here because it smelled so good from a distance. They have a pretty basic menu when it comes to American Diner food, hamburgers, salad, chicken tenders, fries,. .. you know, the basics. The food itself was decent, creative and pricey. We got something similar to a western burger minus the BBQ sauce and add bits of jalapenos chips; It was pretty big and came with fries and a drink. Apparently, they use to have thick cut fries but I can tell you they have since changed their fries. The fries aren’t curly fries but seem to have the same type of seasoning as one would associate with curly fries. We got 2 western combos for about $ 30; which is a rip off in my opinion. They have booths and tables inside as well as outdoor tables shaded with umbrellas; But don’t let that fool you, the place is small. Overall I’d say pass and try something else. There are a ton of places to eat at around Knott’s Berry Farm that offers way better food for the same, or better, price. Don’t settle for a basic char-burger at coasters it’s just not worth it.

Coasters.(Yes it’s spelled Coasters not Coaster’s) probably exists for people who don’t want to wait too long in line for Johnny Rockets. So yes. my friends and I went here when we were at Knotts Berry Farm because who wants to sit and wait a whole hour or whatever to be seated. when there is precious time needed to ride the rides! Well. it looked like it would be almost an hour wait… and by the time you order. and get your food. OH man! Anyway. Coasters is set up pretty similar to JR. It’s a 50’s type diner with a Jukebox. burgers… shakes. cute uniforms. Although. the food here is not that good. Sorry but. all I ordered was the chicken tenders. It came out to around $ 7 for five pieces. That’s more than a dollar each piece. But they weren’t really THAT good. They were just average. But. considering the location.(you’re in an amusement park. you want to eat quick so you can go on all the rides…)… then I guess it gets the job done.
