This place is more than expected. First of all inside the restaurant seems clean. Staff they were nice. After I got home and opened the box and Chicken teriyaki surprisingly looks good. Tastes light not heavy. That makes me to go again. Sometimes some stores tastes too thick so need a lots of water after that. That’s not happen with this food. Next time I would try Shrimp Teriyaki. I guess its soon! Portion is good too.

I wanted to like this place especially since it’s so close to work but the «Express» says it all. Subpar Japanese food. I ordered the white meat and it was like rubber! Waste of money.

This place isn’t amazing but it isn’t horrible but there’s much better options for Japanese food in the area so I wouldn’t come back. You order at a counter and they bring you your food. My boyfriend and I shared a curry chicken with lo mein with a side edamame and I had a miso soup for dinner. The chicken had a lot of cartilage in it which made it difficult to enjoy and the lo mein had no seasoning to it at all. The edamame could have also done with more salt. The miso soup was the better part of the meal but even then the miso soup was overly salty, it was only good because they was a lot of seaweed and tofu. Luckily it was a cheap meal which probably explains why the food is so poorly cooked.
The place is clean and staff was nice but I’m unimpressed. They play a lot of Michael Jackson so at least there’s good music in here.

I love it when I find a place that I can be a regular because the food and service is consistently good. I can depend on them in a crunch for good food at a good price. My husband is quite the regular here too. I like that they don’t serve pork in this establishment. I just have to push myself to change it up a bit and stop ordering the same dish but yes, one thing is for sure is that they will see me and my husband here again.

The place is very cheap, $ 6 will get you a chicken teriyaki, fried rice with egg, and fried vegetables, plus a Coke. Don’t expect anything healthy here.

Good solid teriyaki takeout. Lots of food for low price ($ 6 – 7 for teriyaki with rice). Delivery fast. I’ve only gotten basic sushi rolls once or twice, and they’re as expected for a takeout place that specializes in teriyaki– serviceable sushi rolls with a bit of extra rice as filler. They’re not expensive so it’s okay. If you order sushi, you should do it as a side order to provide variety along with the teriyaki (I would strongly suggest ordering sushi from the other local sushi restaurants with Inaka being my favourite in terms of overall quality/​price). I wouldn’t know what the fancier sushi offerings such as sashimi and unagi don are like, because again, this is not the kind of place I’d venture to order it at. Maybe someone else has tried and can offer opinions on them.

Highly recommend. Staff are super friendly. Restaurant is clean and pleasant. Food is a great value and really tasty. One of my favorite quick and inexpensive meals in Bay Ridge.

This place has it all, clean, tasty, properly portioned and priced friendly service. Delicious bean curd, and spicy noodles. Plenty of vegan options and fresh flavorful veggies. Will be back again so will update.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT:
I didn’t have a pleasant experience last time I came here, but I returned after my coworker let me try the curry chicken she got here. It was delicious and I came here soon after a bit hesitant, but I was not disappointed because this time I had a good experience. It is under new management and not only was the service better, but so was the food. $ 6 lunch special for an entrée and a drink, you really can’t go wrong.

Great place if you aren’t particularly concerned about the quality of your food, I wouldn’t get any raw food items here-it’s just too cheap! That being said you get a pretty decent meal for $ 6 terikayi with veggies, rice and rice (this used to include salad and a drink).
Nothing fancy, it is more of a to go place, although there is plenty of seating. They don’t serve pork or wine, as specifically noted in a sign in the window.
The rolls are small, but again, pretty cheap.

I got the chicken teriyaki dinner box, california roll, and spicy crabmeat roll. It was a decent price for a large portion of food. The service was friendly but was also very slow. The chicken teriyaki was ordinary, nothing to rush over for. The sushi was very good! Make sure you order some!

I don’t know if I was just hungry, but that was some good chicken and shrimp teriyaki with fried rice. Nicely cooked. It was very delicious.
Express means express. they made my order really fast. The staff was friendly and attentive.
It was nice to see your food being made. They cook it right in front of you.
The atmosphere is great.
The menu is super simple.
Cheap express eating. I like this place.
Thanks for satisfying my hunger.

Great place to go for yummy Chicken Teriyaki and Fried Dumplings. Totally adore this place. Not only is service cheerful and attentive, the space is pretty huge for something with «Express» in its name, there are always plenty of tables, and it’s extremely clean (the bathroom was even elegant. Say what?).
It’s also the little things that count for me. I love the fact that they are in no way stingy with their duck sauce and leave them right out next to the forks and knives. How crisp and not watered down the soda from their soda machine tastes — trust me this is a big deal (and how the drinks are included with your teriyaki meal). Their menu was also very creatively made with attention to detail.

Not being a fan of these type of fast food teriyaki places, I was impressed at the cleanliness and roominess of this restaurant. They were having a grand opening special for chicken teriyaki with a free fountain drink for less than $ 5. I asked for brown rice, but they didn’t have any. Instead they substituted a salad which was pretty good. I was more pleased with the ginger dressing and sriracha hot sauce than I was with the rubbery chicken. But I think that’s how all chicken is when you come to a place like this.

Just had the tuna roll there — tasty and fresh and the price is very low. Will be going back there with my husband for the hibachi. Haven’t had it yet, but they were preparing it for another customer and it smelled so good.
This is a casual restaurant; very clean, modern, with comfortable seating — padded bench along one wall.
Highly recommended to all who like susjhi orJapanese Hibachi. Great for a quick snack or an entire meal. And you can’t beat the prices.
