I love coming here because it’s super close to my apartment but also because they have a great selection of pastries, bagel sandwiches, smoothies, juices, and other snacks. Their bagels are way better than bagelsmith.

I literally walked out of this place to read the name to write this Unilocal review. This place deserves every star. I walked blind in search for somewhere that serves food, coffee, and where I could dine alone. I got a sandwich with chicken, brie, green apple, and avocado. I had it about 24 hours ago and I’m still raving about it. What a burst of flavor. They have a ton of drinks/teas/juices/bagels/sandwiches/acai bowls to choose from. And it all looked phenomenal. I was there for about an hour creeping out people’s meals and I was tempted to ask for a bite. Plus it’s right on Bedford for its prime for people watching(and there are outlets! If you are a slave to dying iPhones like me). The staff is what this sets this place apart. They are friendly and understanding. They don’t play that«I live in Brooklyn and I’m better than you» vibe. They make eye contact and created every customer with respect, which is a dying art. I know that makes this place not cool, but real recognizes real. This place has great service with business integrity, something every hard working New Yorker can respect.

I was really excited to see the gluten free options that were recently added to the menu at New York Muffins! This is always a major plus, especially for an early morning bite. I believe this is one of the closest spots to the Bedford L where you can grab a quick GF breakfast! Unfortunately, the GF sandwich bread was really dry and fell apart. It was a decent enough vehicle for the delicious turkey, cheese & avocado on the sandwich, but it was pretty awful on it’s own(and made the sandwich a bit messy to eat). While I wouldn’t get that sandwich again, I definitely would come back to try some of their ofter gluten free choices. Next time I will try the GF muffins or some of their salad options, those seem like a bit safer bet!

Love love love going here to get smoothies in the morning. The workers are really sweet and service is always prompt. If anything I’d say try the lobster bisque because it IS to die for. They have a large variety of foods including gluten free options which is convenient. Two thumbs up

I don’t understand how this place could get anything less than 5 stars! The people who work here are amazing, and some of the nicest people I’ve ever met! And the food is delicious as well! I highly recommend this place to everyone and anyone if you want a quick bite. The Mexican quinoa salad is BOMB.

I was surprised to see the low rating. I haven’t tried the desserts(which seem to be the cause of a lot of the poor reviews) but the bagels, sandwiches, and smoothies/juices are awesome. They use the freshest ingredients and take so much care when preparing food. My favorite sandwich is the Apple & Brie on multigrain and I love their bagels especially with their veggie cream cheese. I will say all the people that work here are extremely kind!

We had a red velvet cupcake, chocolate cupcake, coffee, and orange juice. The cupcakes were moist and looked ok, but unfortunately proved to be rather tasteless and too small to be worth it. Coffee was ok, but orange juice was bitter and seemed to have been left in the fridge for at least half a day. Environment is ok. All in all, nothing special there.

The coffee is good and the cupcakes are amazing. I hate the sugary american sweets. The topping of the cupcakes was just perfect! Also the prices are good — 2.95 for a cupcake.

I’ve finally met the muffin man and his double chocolate chip yogurt muffin was EXTREMELY good to me. Today a coworker brought in about a dozen muffins from NYM, so I can’t comment on the storefront itself, but the product was as sweet as a short stack of buttermilk pancakes. Moist factor: 8.5 Flavor: 9 Assembly: 8(this is a measure of how much the muffin adheres or crumbles when you take a piece from its cake body) Chocolate Chip Distribution: 8.5(chips were interspersed nicely throughout the muffin) Normally I can depend on the guy manning the breakfast cart on Broadway(and Prince St.) for a bran muffin($ 1.50), but today I had the pleasure of enjoying a fresh-baked New York Muffin with the company of three close work friends, in a conference room fit for 14 people. I felt like a king. FWIW — muffins need to be eaten upside down, carefully so as not to disturb the most precious top layer. Save the best part for last. Always slice in half and toast lightly with butter if the option is available and enjoy with your favorite hot/cold beverage.

I have had 3 different soups and they have all been amazing. Chicken noodle and broccoli cheddar are to die for. The muffins are great too! Friendly enough staff and fast service. I highly recommend checking them out.

I never thought that I would rate any establishment 2 stars, but I prove myself wrong! Did not found this place on Unilocal. We were just walking back to the car parking from the Brooklyn fair and decided to stop for coffee. Also took a Black Forest mousse cup and a scone with it. Coffee was ok, hence 2 stars. The Black Forest dessert was too dry and seemed like had been on the shelf for a long time. I think they should be paying patrons to eat that! Scone was also below average.

New York Muffins on North 6. St and Bedford Ave Is NUMBERONE!!! They serve fresh baked goods that are fabulous. The soup is wonderful! Chicken noodle with fresh carrots, white meat chicken and lots of noodles is delicious, as is pea and chicken tortilla soups. Sandwiches filled and nicely prepared! Service is excellent! Nice nice young people who mean to please! I recommend this clean, well stocked place for breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, soup and, of course, desserts!!!

Love coming to New York Muffin whenever I’m in Williamsburg. They have great service & great prices. I love their Iced Vanilla Coffee during the summer and their Hot Vanilla Coffee during the winter. Their banana nut muffin is delicious & so are their deli sandwiches. I always get the egg sandwich which is amazing.

I’m writing this review because I’ve decided that I will no longer go to New York Muffins. I’ve been a patron of theirs for two years now, as I happen to live a block away. I used to go to do work there, but too many times I had trouble with the wifi. It’s free, but they change the password everyday. If the people working there don’t know what the new password is, they just tell you the wifi isn’t working instead of finding out. It’s incredibly frustrating after you buy some food with the expectation of sitting down and doing work. If the wi-fi«isn’t working,» don’t display on your window that you have«Free Wi-Fi.» I also question how sanitary the place is, though I should not that they have an A rating. However, I’ve seen them Windex the inside of the glass display WHILE the food was in it several times(that can not be healthy) and I’ve never seen them clean the juicer. If they are doing that in front of visitors, what are they doing behind the scenes. I have made note never to purchase any food from there. They do make good juices and smoothies, but to go there for a coffee or bagel instead of Bagelsmith is just silly. Bagelsmith is awesome. Altogether, the place just left a bad taste in my mouth. There’s way too many amazing places in the neighborhood to waste my money on this one.

I was intrigued by chicken poblano soup listed among their daily specials on their outside blackboard. The soup was a spicy creamed soup that I enjoyed. They had some good looking baked goods. I definitely would give them another try if I’m ever in the area again.

Great little breakfast spot. I’m new to the area and find myself here early weekend Mornings and also at night for coffee. The food is fresh, tasty and the staff, friendly. My goal is to try all the flavors of muffins. So far the blueberry, corn and coffee cake muffins have been excellent. Today I opted for an onion bagel with cream cheese. I liked it better than bagel smith across the street. Until next time my little muffin.

I know this place is named NY Muffins but their smoothie selection is out of this world! I’ve had two smoothies here: the fiber fix, and their most popular smoothie which I can’t remember the name of(but it’s 2nd down on their smoothie list!). Both are amazing. They serve a variety of foods in addition to smoothies including muffins and a ton of baked goods and sweets and coffee. It has a coffee shop feel and isn’t the most clean place in terms of sitting room but it does the job. There are a decent amount of people sitting and reading.

This one does better than the one on bedford and south second street and probably will do an okay job on your smoothie or green juice. Unlike the southside branch, they have never made me a totally disgusting watery drink here, but like the other place they have served me cups with an inch and a half of air and or foam at the top which makes me mad if i am paying for a large and they pour the equivalent of less than a small into the cup. USETHEFOAMSKIMMINGLIDONTHEPITCHERFORPETESSAKE, THATISWHATITISFOR! For a much better green juice go to Tiny Empire or Organic Planet. And of course do not come here for coffee or muffins. Dont be silly. Its like JFK terminal food. This is williamsburg, we have good food here. Go to Verb, or Oslo or el beit for a muffin and coffee.
