Wow I can’t believe this place is closed! I used to take a lot of meetings here cause the ambience is great and the owner is very personable. Really heartbroken to see this place go, hope it doesn’t get replaced with a Whole Foods

I guess they had a 5 year lease because this place is SAYONARA. CLOSED. You probably didn’t miss much and I have low expectations for whatever is going to pay the rent next to cater to the river condos.

Really more like a 4.5.
I come here a decent amount. The manager is a good dude and all the waiters I’ve met have been good people. The burgers and fries have been delicious every time (and I’ve had like 30 over the last couple years, so the sample size is large enough), and the atmosphere is always pretty reasonable/​sedate. They have a good selection of beers and a good food menu.
I’m seeing a few bad reviews, but they all seem to be coming from people I’d never want to go to a bar with in the first place… like if service is slow, flag someone down, don’t pull out your phone to bitch on Unilocal about how someone didn’t waltz over every 5 minutes to check on you, this isn’t a michelin starred restaurant. And to the lady whining about cocktails being expensive and not having much to em — welcome to NYC. Serves you right for getting a cocktail in the first place.

It was almost empty when we got there. Only one waitress, took 20 mins to get the tea we ordered. Then got another tea to our table which we didn’t order.
Waited for another 30mins finally got our food, almost dying from hunger. Lol
And suddenly she flipped over the burger right before putting the plate down.
We didn’t ask for another burger but just for piece of tomato which you can imagine that never came to us.
After we done with food and asked for the bill, she forgot! When she came to clean the other table next to us, she realized that and asked «did u ask for check?»
What a great service!
Btw, the chx burger was over to dry like left over from the other day and re-​fried it.
Anyway, we didn’t say anything and still left good tips. Not gonna back again.

Decided to have brunch with my girlfriends at Biblio on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30. There was 4 of us and when we walked in, they were kind enough to accommodate us by making room for us in the small, establishment.
Brunch menu looked delicious. Had everything from egg benedict to chicken and waffles to a burger to a watermelon salad.
When the waiter came by to get our drink order, he informed us that both benedict selections as well as the biscuits and gravy were unavailable. My gf who was eyeing the biscuits and gravy jokingly said «Nooo! That’s what I wanted!» And this is where my 2 star review came to play… The waiter very rudely said «Well, it’s not available!» as he rolled his eyes, made a face and walked away. That was unnecessary.
I was ready to go at this point by my gf waned to stay so we did. After he brought us our coffees (2 cappuccinos and 2 Americanos) he asked if we wanted anything else… I guess you have to ask for milk and sugar at this place, so I did.
We then ordered our entrees. They all ordered The Scramble and I ordered the chicken and waffle and we got a side of fried bc we heard they were good. My gfs all liked their scramble (although they all complained it was a little on the cold side). My chicken was crispy but unfortunately, my waffle was very soggy. We all enjoyed the fries.
Overall, not really impressed and the waiters attitude ruined it from the get go.
Their only saving grace besides the fries was the lovely young lady who was the bartender/​waitress. She was very sweet.

La fachada del lugar atrajo la atención de mi prima. Tiene la cara de un personaje formada con letras en el ventanal del lugar y un aura mística a media luz.
Entramos y nos recibió una mesera muy linda y atenta. El local es más grande de lo que parece por fuera. Tiene una barra extensa y un par de televisiones que transmiten películas y deportes. Hay una especie de librero frente a las mesas que cuenta con libros gordos y vinos apilados por nombre.
Pedí un Château Lomelat de Bordeaux Francia. La copa la dan bien servida, pero el vino no me impresionó, muy terroso, ligero y sin aroma memorable.
Después de meditarlo ampliamente decidí comprobar si este lugar tiene una de «las mejores hamburguesas» (según algunos Unilocalers). Y pues no. Las papas sí estaban deliciosas y las terminé y todavía piqué de las papas de mi prima. Pero la hamburguesa estaba seca, sin sazón (le puse sal y pimienta a lo bestia y ni así), sin un pan que la distinguiera y con un queso muy x. No la recomiendo porque después tampoco disfrute de mis eructos, como suele pasarme cuando me atasco pero con algo pecaminosamente rico.

The atmosphere is very cute and alluring. The cocktails are extremely small with lots of ice, so it is basically 4 sips for $ 13. It was good, but not worth the price. The beer names are misleading, for example milk and honey tastes like an IPA when the name alludes to a sweater beer. (I suppose we should have asked.)
The food is tasty just wish there was a bit more. I ordered the strawberry salad and my husband ordered the alvacado toast with the fried egg. Tip ask for the egg to be actually fried, if you don’t it will come sunny side up.
Staff is nice and friendly, just very relaxed.

I took a friend here for his birthday Sunday, and it was A-​OK!
My friend ordered the salmon burger with a glass of white wine, and I ordered the hamburger with cheese (cheddar) with a pint of Bushwick Pilsner. Both burgers were tasty, although he said his was a bit dry. And the sides of fries were tasty, too!
However, the service was lacking. Furthermore, the sole restroom could have been cleaner– and equipped with toilet paper. Sometimes the state of the restroom overshadows everything else.

Good food and drinks, but high prices and incredibly slow service. A friend of mine and I came here for dinner and shared a bowl of the bacon Mac n cheese and only ordered a couple drinks. Most of the time our waiter was nowhere to be found and we ended up staying there for MUCH longer than we intended because he took forever to do anything we asked. I hope it was just a fluke because otherwise it’s a nice place.

This is a place for a nice quick brunch. I wouldn’t say they are cheap but the food is tasty and the service is very effective.

I was taking our team out to dinner and the reviews made me think this was a great option (we work nearby). When we came in the place was brightly lit but shortly after we ordered someone adjusted the lights and it became a bit dark/​romantic. But the TVs still cast some light about.
Menu is short but appealing. Nice beer list. The food was overall tasty, but not outstanding. The plates came out lukewarm, definitely not as hot as should be.
Service was friendly if a bit lackadaisical.
The food being hot would have made it much better. And the TVs should only be on if there’s a game on.

Food was alright, the old bread was much better. Service was bad though, we were the only table there and it was still hard to get the servers attention. He took 2 smoke breaks within the 30min that we were there and we had to wait and call out to get the staffs attention for water, check. Definitely won’t be returning.

Had the sriracha and lime wings… Excellent! The bacon Mac and cheese was delicious. Great little spot great staff. Patio was very nice. Felt very welcomed. Definitely go here again

Very new and comfortable bar and dining. Appetizers were very good. Pleasantly surprised by the quantity of food. Was great for the price. Definitely should try the amazingly large Sriracha like chicken wings and the Mac n cheese was fantastic!!! Large bacon chucks were mouthwatering!

I’ve gone hear a few times for dinner and brunch and am never disappointed. The chicken and waffles at brunch is totally on point and their outdoor seating is awesome! For dinner I usually stick to a beer and chicken wings and always leave totally satisfied– they have a great beer selection. And they accept Cover so you never have to wait for the bill there! Highly recommend.

Went looking for a place with a patio and ended up here during happy hour. It really met our needs.
We split both the chicken sandwich, subbed the fries for the truffle fries, and the watermelon salad. Both were great, a deal for sure, but nothing to write home about. That said, I will be back — guaranteed. The staff were so friendly, conversational. The environment was so relaxed and chill.
Most everyone can find something on the menu, so this is going to be my new go-​to on a nice day, when looking for a HH and just meandering the hood.

Dark, intimate and laid back. Nice selection of beer and whiskey. I asked for a bartenders choice cocktail providing the ingredients I liked and he prepared me a glass of delicious! My companion had a few glasses of whiskey (widow jane) and another. recommended by the bartender (Casey) as well. That type of one to one attention, makes folks return to just chill out at the bar. We shared a grilled cheese and tomato soup as well… Yummmy! Cozy neighborhood bar.

Just a great place in the neighbourhood. Burger is good, music is cool and the bartender is funny.
A perfect night out, discussing shows, books, politics, drinks, cities, experiences and careers with the fun people hanging in the bar.

Get the avocado toast!!! It’s so amazing! The bread is thick, crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. Plus the avocado relish on top just amplifies the flavor of the fresh avocados.
The art on the walls is really cool too. Make sure to check out the Kurt Cobain portrait made from his lyrics.

Sigh. The server was very attentive but the menu is very limited. we eneded up orderibg chicken wings because i didnt really see anything on the menu that i liked :(maybe ill try the burger idk. the wine was abnormally warm. Yea i know it should be warm but it was like hot! maybe it was next to a heater. dont think id come backk

The simple setup of this restaurant should not be under-​estimated since their simple yet varied menu is just delicious! Had the eggs benedict for brunch — absolutely in point: a perfectly poached egg on a muffin that was toasted just right, with generous slabs of ham and hollandaise sauce. Their side of home fries were also delicious — not too oily and just the right amount of salt. For $ 10 i would definitely come back again! Friendly staff, great oldies music in the background, and right smack dab in the middle of lots of afternoon activities (or even just walking around) — Biblio could be my next favorite brunch place!
