A cozy neighborhood restaurant with great food! Loved the décor. It’s the perfect place to take a date. They have a small menu but it’s solid. Unfortunately I don’t eat red meat so can’t speak for their burger. But I hear it’s delicious. The Mac and cheese with lobster is scrumptious! Perfect portion size, not at all heavy and made well. Loved the seared Brussels sprouts & their seasonal salad. The brick chicken is huge in portion– half a chicken. Really well done with a crispy skin. The gravy and biscuit are complete the dish! I was disappointed in their desert options. They had cookies and cupcakes on the menu the night i dined. Decided to skip it! Overall great vibes, prompt service & good food! What more can one ask for!

If you just order duck fries, you will get a potato cut into 4 wedges for $ 4.5. It was ok. Didn’t taste like duck fat to me and it was a little too salty for me. Ordered ½ a chicken and braise short ribs. The chicken taste like rotisserie chicken with gravy. Nothing special. The short rib was very good. It fell off the bone and it has good flavor.

My boyfriend and I had our first date here two years ago, and we’ve been coming back to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, and all other special occasions ever since. It’s our favorite restaurant in New York, and not because of the sentimental value! The food is OUTSTANDING. You’ll hear a lot of talk about the burger(well deserved buzz), but don’t overlook smaller plates like the salads, which always blow my mind. These guys are using really quality ingredients, right down to the olive oil. The vibe is intimate and pleasant, and the service is always fast. Make this the next place you have dinner!

One of my favorite restaurant, I love burger over there. They always have special menu during weekend. I don’t really like the dessert over there since I don’t like sweet taste … But the bigger would Deserve the 5 stars. It is so juicy and just taste awesome

Food was great! Farm to table in a warm rustic settings. Only a handful of Small Lots and Big Lots. We had the mesclun salad, hanger steak and green curry rice with eggplant and what tasted like chocolate mint. THIS dish gives me a reason to come back or at least try to replicate at home ;) Very creative! The only downside was the service which set a strange mood over dinner; and the bartender who pours a short end of the bottle glass of wine because she doesn’t want to open another bottle. Half of it was sediment. Otherwise we enjoyed the food just not sure if the overall experience is worth making the treck again.

It’s been a long time since I had a meal so amazingly executed. Our salad was seasoned to perfection, the fries were heaven and the house made(props to Ali) ice cream was mouthwatering. Thanks so much!

Crazy good burger. Right up there with Korzo’s fried burger, minetta taverns black label burger, and the Breslin’s lamb burger. Small, welcoming place with good service, too. Highly recommended. Tip: if you get the ice cream sandwich for dessert, def let it thaw a while so you can taste more of the flavors.

Cute spot, Me and my girlfriend when to Lot2 to try it out, Wow the food was AMAZING! one of the best pork chop I ever had. The food arrived pretty quick, the service was five star. We really want to try the Tres Leches but they didn’t have it so hopefully next time. Lot2 is easy to find! I can’t wait to go back!

I don’t want to review a restaurant this cozy and familiar. It’s literally too close to home. A Unilocal review, in all of its reach, potentially jeopardizes the delicate balance of being a regular. All you really need to know about Lot 2 is that it’s just about perfect, in every sense. No details required.

The place I’d liken Lot 2 to is Skinner’s Loft in Jersey City. Not in terms of the space, as Lot 2 is a fraction of the size with more modest, old Brownstone-like wood décor and romantic lighting. Not in terms of the service either, as even on Valentine’s Day it was much friendlier and more efficient than Skinner’s. It’s a dead-ringer in terms of the food though: well done traditional American cooking to be exact. So many restaurants in Brooklyn go the ethnic route, but it’s important to remember that there is still a market for this; everyone wants something simple and classic every so often instead of some crazy food concepts, and it’s on this notion that Lot 2 delivers. Like I said this was Valentine’s Day, but in my experience you’re more likely to get a lesser meal on V-Day than a normal day because of the pressure on the kitchen. The menu was pared down but had some great options for $ 65 per person, especially compared to other places nearby that I’d researched. I got the steak tartare to start which was a great example of a classic. Not too much seasoning and a generous portion with a few kinds of bread. My date had the scallops which was actually just 1 single scallop. It was seared perfectly but the portion was laughable. For my main I got the hanger steak(yes steak twice, I would’ve gotten it for dessert too if possible) which was great. Hanger steak gets thought of as a lesser steak but this one was definitely a standout. It was cooked properly with a light char. It came with roasted potatoes, a mixed green salad, and garlic sauce all which were superb. My date got the striped bass which she loved; I tried a bit and they cooked it perfectly without overseasoning. For my dessert I got the brownie which was good, and my date got a bon bon which was tiny but was supposed to be good. For drinks I had 2 of a special cocktail they had that day with bourbon which was well made; I ended up having 2. This is about as well as you’re going to do going out(legitimately) for Valentine’s Day in NY nowadays. It came to $ 200 total. Luckily during the year the menu looks much more reasonable. This place makes me want to move to the other side of the park. I hope to be back soon!

Went here tonight for dinner. Drinks were good, food was great and the service was excellent. For entrées my wife had the burger and I had the pork chop. I love the fact the menu is as small as it is. They do a few things, do them well, and do them fresh. Will certainly go back soon.

Wow. I can’t believe that it took me five years to finally try this place. Last night, a friend and I came here for their burger before heading to another friend’s jazz gig, also in South Slope. It was amazing, and perhaps the best burger that I have had in the city. Cooked medium-rare and topped with melted cheese, it was accompanied by both tasty pickles and four delicious fries. Thickly sliced and cooked in duck fat, I only now know what the perfect fry tastes like. In spite of the cold, we washed it all down with cans of Porkslap Pale Ale. Priced at just $ 5 a pop, we couldn’t go wrong here. Furthermore, the service was super-friendly, and the layout warm and inviting. Lot 2 is a place that I highly recommend!

So was craving a burger and turned to Unilocal for help! I must tell you guys a huge thank you! I was very much impressed! The place was completely packed so we had to wait for about 45 Minutes to be seated, however the wait was very well worth it. This place has a very nice ambiance, nothing flashy but very warm and homily. The service is very pleasant and welcoming. As far as the food experience. We had the Beet Salad with Goat Cheese and Chick Peas and the Grilled Cheese with Bacon Jam for appetizers. That was really delicious!!! And for the main dish we tried the burgers. They were very well prepared and melted in my mouth. For dessert we tried their citrus pie with Coffee whipped cream which was divine. Over all this place was awesome! I will definitely be back for seconds!

The place looks lovely!!! Super romantic and candle lighting. I had to come try their burgers that my friend was bragging about– it was GOOD! I got it medium well The only thing is I could not change the cheese– either way the cheddar cheese was good. :) The side of fries were okay — I had better Overall good food — very comforting. By the way 16 bucks for a burger is way to pricey

Yum! Loved the grilled cheese. A huge sandwich made with two huge, thick slices of bread with cheese and a pepper jam on top. Everything works together so well. A bit too much for one though, definitely share it with three or four people. The burger was good. Very seasoned, a bit oo salty at times but gnwerall good. Didn’t get the hype over the fries though. Loved the pickles. And we got the pickle plate and ironically, that didn’t come with any actual pickles, just pickled beets, cabbage, onion, and cauliflower. The fried green tomatoes were ok. Nicely fried with a zesty aioli, but I’m not a huge fan of fried green tomatoes. Delicious food with competent service!

The rest of the food was good; not amazing but DATBURGER. Don’t know what they did with the meat and duck fat but whatever it is; it’s good. Doesnt even need the bread. you only get 3 fries so eat it fast before your guest eats it all. love the interior; quaint, romantic, dark, and friendly staff. good for dates!

The Two Most Important Things You Need To Know About Lot 2. 1. They have one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten in my life.* 2. They have a signed photo of Benny Agbayani in the back. I don’t think there’s a single other one-two(Hawaiian)** punch that could make me love a restaurant more. Other things Lot 2 has: –The perfect neighborhood restaurant vibe. Candle-lit and cozy, I would be ecstatic to have this place down the street. –Casual but attentive and knowledgable service. The best balance. –Excellent booze behind the bar, and quality cocktails made with said booze. I could drink the Father In Law all day long. And then I imagine I would be drunk enough to do stupid things that would lead to a divorce, and the subsequent loss of my own father in law. Isn’t it ironic? –A short, but excellent menu. Salads(I love their Caesar), mains, appetizers; everything is carefully cooked and wonderfully flavorful. This is a good restaurant, and there are no bad choices here. But seriously, don’t miss out on the burger. It is action-packed with big, beefy flavor, and comes on a toasted bun that I initially thought was too hard, but stands up perfectly to the serious amount of juice. The melted cheddar and the pickled onions are enough of an accompaniment, but I like spreading a bit of the mayo, ketchup and mustard provided onto the bun. Not too much though, because the Creekstone Farms beef is the star of the show, and it doesn’t need much at all. Three perfect, crisp wedges of duck-fat fried potatoes round out the meal, and although I want more, I don’t need anything at all after I’m done. Watch your step on the way out though, because I’ve basically fallen down into the street which wasn’t embarrassing in the least. _____________ *And I’ve eaten a LOT of burgers. **That was Benny’s nickname. Hawaiian Punch. If you don’t know who Benny is, by the way, then you can just go straight to hell.

Came here for the burger and that’s what I got, no beating round the bush as the only other option was a cinco de mayo set meal . Ok so its a little strange to have just 2 options on the menu but I’m good to go with the burger. Contrary to another Unilocalers review I was asked how we wanted the burger cooked and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Served with sliced pickles, duck fat fries, ketchup and aioli. The burger really is pretty dam good, big and juicy. The duck fat fries are yummy except they go a little crazy with the salt and only give you 4 of them. I had already read about this wee problem, so immediately ordered an extra side of fries for 3 bucks but unfortunately you only get another 4 fries . Be warned this place has a lot of screaming kids early on in the evening but other than that a pleasant vibe, alternatively if you have kids you will be happy that you aren’t alone. I will definitely be back to try the full menu.
