Who knew bar food could taste this good. Not a drinker, but still went here with my friend to try out their dinner menu. Place is small, with some tables and chairs in the back of the room for dine-in patrons. Was surprised that the dinner selections are fairly big with signature sides, to pasta dishes and strip steaks too. We decided to share their Tangy Ginger Chicken wings, Coconut battered Shrimps, Meatball sliders, and their Arugula Salad. Of all the dishes I loved their salad with their cranberry vinaigrette dressing, toasted walnuts, and grated parmesan cheese it was all I wanted to eat. The chicken wings were a bit too dry, Meatball sliders lacked taste. The coconut shrimps weren’t bad though it got pretty spicy after my third bite.

The food is good for a bar, but too expensive for a bar. The bartender is loud and annoying. She is too busy jabbering to refill drinks and bring silverware.

I used to order here all the time when I just wanted some good bar food… especially wings! I don’t think I will be back anytime soon though. We ordered two orders of wings and they were both dry. The service as not exactly friendly, but perhaps it was an off night. The bartender was nowhere to be found when we first got in. We later found that she was out front on her smoke break.

From the outside, this place looks like any typical Irish dive bar. But once inside, it’s actually quite nice. They have a great draft beer selection. They serve food(things like lobster ravioli and pumpkin ravioli). It’s reasonably clean. And the bartender’s actually nice. Sure, they have some of the standard dive bar staples, like darts, sports on the TVs, and American flags galore, but none of those are bad things.

Ravioli was excellent but for the price there should have been more than 5 pieces. The bacon cheeseburger was perfect. I would highly recommend that and hamburgers here in general. They also have a pretty good selection of beers.

Where do I start? Chef Phil is awesome. I decided to check out the bar while I was in town for the week. Couldn’t have found a better place. The food is amazing. FILLETMINIONSANDWICH?! Melts in your mouth. The Pasta dishes come with monster meatballs. The food here Is simply amazing nothing you’d expect from a «pub». The regular stuff is ok like the wings and chicken strip but you really need to try their specialtys! The bar has a jukebox that’s always blasting some of the best rock music you can think of. This is gotta be one of the best bars in Brooklyn hands down, this is a bar of bars. Great atmosphere nice people. the perfect place to come chill after work

This place is awesome if your a normal guy just trying to catch a game with friends. It’s a local pub with good bar food that is at a reasonable price for this area.

I just ordered and the food was very expensive for very very poor quality! The chicken fingers were way too spicy and soggy! The salad was just iceberg lettuce and pieces of croutons! Including taxes, tip and delivery fee it was $ 30 not worth it!

I love this place, think the bartenders and food are awesome, but at the time I can’t give it five stars. I went for dinner tonight and was presented with a «fancy» new menu. It had all of the same lovable staples, but the prices were jacked up. I just spent 10 minutes on Google trying to understand why the price of the shrimp parm was raised by $ 4 — $ 5. The meal portions looked the same. There hasn’t been any global shrimp shortage since 2013. Are we just now feeling the ripple effects of that shortage? It’s okay though because for just $ 14 extra you can add ziti and a salad. That’s right just $ 32 for a meal you can get for $ 18 at any italian restaurant. Maybe their landlord raised their rent? I don’t know, but I love this place and hope they come to their senses.

Great drinks, food and best of all, staff. I love 2 blocks away and been going to the spot since it opened.

Bartender tonight was spectacular. Our table was a bit rocky and we didn’t mention it and he came over immediately to fix it for us… really attentive and considerate. We had the ribs special and they were fall off the bone. Also got the corn which was cooked perfectly. They are a jets bar(giants fan) but did a good job with it, and the décor was so local slope Brooklyn. You can’t ask for a better local neighborhood spot. I brought my mom there tonight and she loved it.

You can’t deny good food and Brooklyn Pub has some pretty good food. The wings are impressive(don’t know if I’d say best wings ever like they do, but they are really good). They make straightforward food with good flavor. And if you’re nearby they deliver really fast… took about 15 minutes! Food was really hot and fresh upon delivery. The meatball sliders were decent, the mac and cheese fried balls were really good and the jalapeño poppers were a little too salty but overall I’d order from here again and strongly recommend you give brooklyn pub a try.

This place has great food and good ambience. Your favorite game is always on and if not, the bartender gladly accommodates. Usually not crowded during early hours, which for this happy hours couple, is awesome. There’s a lot of heart and love put into the food. Everything we have had has been great; from the wings to the soups to the sandwiches and burgers. They change up the beers pretty often, which is good and bad, but they’ve been open to suggestions for taps. Bartenders have always been super nice. Have been here half a dozen times and have had nothing but great experiences and food. Will definitely be back.

We’ve only ordered delivery from here but we’re big fans. Predictably good bar food, fast & friendly delivery. Yes, it is a bit pricey for pub food but the quality is always good so we forgive that. Burgers arrive hot & cooked exactly to request. Fries, onion rings & salad arrive crispy, not soggy. Wings are good too. Think I’ll order from there again tonight!

You really can’t go wrong here. The prices are fair. Average for bar food. The food is way above average. It’s tempting to order too many items because you want to try everything. Take it slow and order one thing at a time. You will definitely come back soon to try the other things.

We had a great time at the Brooklyn Pub last night celebrating our friends bday. Love the ambience and welcoming neighborhood feel of the bar. The staff were attentive and friendly. We wanted to try everything so we ordered a variety and just shared it all. For apps we enjoyed the fried pickles, wings and pierogi. The main course Lasagna was the on the nights specials and it really was. With it we also had the braciole, the meatballs, the pulled pork sandwich and the ravioli with vodka sauce. With a call ahead they even arranged a bday cake. Were real foodies amd loved talking cooking with Phil the owner who even shared his meatball recipe. This was our first visit to Brooklyn and we can’t wait to get back. Thanks for making our visit a night to remember.

We love this place! My hubby and I were driving around BK one night looking for a spot to call«our spot» We drove around for about 20min and i said let’s head home, we had no luck in finding a place that looked inviting… We came to a stop sign and saw this place called Brooklyn Pub. It’s a small place in the corner street. We gave it a shot. Went in, good music was playing, and for a Friday night, not crowded at all! The night we went in, they had a promotion running for free angry orchard hard apple cider, so we had 2. For free. Also ordered some appetizers and a few drinks each. The service is great, the place doesn’t get too crowed, so the bartender checks on you often. The food is amazing! The coconut shrimp and salt and pepper calamari are hands down. The best I’ve ever had at a bar. That’s been«our spot» now for a couple months, we go often after work for drinks and appetizers. The place is small, much can get loud, the locals run in and run out after there one drink. The have a few tv’a, sports or news usually on. Bathroom is always clean, they keep the place clean, which is defiantly a plus. Defiantly a place to check out if your in Brooklyn and looking for a quick drink. The prices are very reasonable. I will continue to visit this bar.

I came here recently to watch the World Cup USA v Portugal game and unsurprisingly the bar was packed. At the start of the game, the bar was not full to capacity and there was actually some walking room around, but it became evident that people who could not get into Greenwood Park, which is a block away, ended up venturing here instead. The bar isn’t huge, but there are a few tables that can seat 4 people inside. Also there are LOTS of LCD screens attached to the walls. Even though the bar was getting more and more full during the World Cup match, my ability to watch the game was not in any way blocked because I had full view of a TV everywhere I turned. It seems this would be an awesome place to catch a football game too because of all the screens made available. The bar also serves food, but that was one thing I didn’t get to try.

Stopped in here early in the night for a few drinks while waiting for Giuseppina’s across the street to open. Pleasantly surprised. Very good vibe here — great low-key, local pub. Good beer selection. Didn’t try the food since I was going for pizza, but the menu selection looked promising. Bartender was super nice. Oh and I loved the music they played here — Incubus, Stone Temple Pilots, APC — awesome stuff. I’d totally come back to hang out here!

Was heading out with coworkers to Greenwood park when we discovered it was closed to the public. A private party due a party for Etsy members. Psssh… a party for a community of people who belong to a website, how lame! Some of my coworkers said we should head to Brooklyn Pub. We started walking over while I’m thinking, what dump am I being brought to? I step in and realize, I’ve been in this dump and it’s not a dump at all. It’s a fucking awesome ass bar! Score! I came here frequently when my friend lived around the block, back in the day. After huge house parties(Those were the days) I’d come here for after hours. I suppose I was… having too much fun… to remember the name. This place is great for a numerous amount of reasons. The people who work here, kick ass. They are good people and literally, if you mess around they’ll kick your ass. The drink prices are unheard of in trendy locations of Brooklyn any more. The food is fantastic bar food also at a price that can’t be beat. They have televisions, playing your favorite sports team. If your a Mets/Jets fan like me, you may want to look the other way. In the end this is a great local bar, with inexpensive options and caters to awesome experiences on the late night or for happy hour.

Let’s run down the checklist of the things you’re looking for in a neighborhood bar. [x] Cheap beer. [x] Football. Hockey. Sports. With sound. [x] Big tv’s. [x] Kickin’ air conditioning. [x] Nice bartenders. [x] The ability to not only not laugh at me, but give me a hearty plate full of these things, when I order a plate of celery, carrots and ranch dressing. [ ] Talking animal mascot.* Brooklyn Pub has all these things, and is thriving in the apparently huge new mecca of bars and restaurants that is 20th Street and 6th Ave.(which is near not a hot damn thing). And it’s a great place for the overflow crowd when Toby’s is(as it almost always is) overflowingly busy. * — Every bar should have one of those. Why hasn’t Eddie Murphy gotten on that yet?
