Best empanadas around! The two owners were very hospitable and welcoming. Food was excellent I highly recommend.

The food here is good, but I would never, under any circumstances, order delivery from this place if you’re starving or pressed for time. I ordered from this place through Seamless and it took two and a half hours to get to me. I only live a mile and a half away from the place. Delivery is supposed to be more convenient, but I could have walked to this place, ate in, and walked back home in less than two and a half hours. They either need to give honest delivery estimates, fix whatever’s wrong with their delivery system, or stop offering it altogether.
I’m giving two stars, rather than one, because the empanadas are very good, even though they’re small. In the future, I may eat in if I’m in the neighborhood.

Lies. Don’t believe seamless or their estimated time. Food takes forever to get to you. Waited an hour For a couple of simple burritos. 1) It’s breakfast time. Don’t do delivery of you can’t keep up the pace 2) food came cold and were ok at best… I suggest order somewhere else if you’re hungry and want to be good to your palette

Let me just confirm the recent spate of reviews: Empanada Loca’s delivery service is a joke. It took nearly three hours to get a delivery of a smoothie and three empanadas, and that included multiple phone calls to the delivery guy who would just blatantly lie. First it was that the smoothie spilled, so he had to go back to get more. An hour later, he was «five minutes away.» Half an hour after that, he was «around the corner.» Half an hour after that, he wasn’t answering. Then he shows up, with cold empanadas and liquid smoothie, but without apology.
Good luck staying in business if this is standard operating procedure (and judging by the recent reviews, it most definitely is).

By far the worse place ever. unproffessional garbage.messed up my order 2x, had né waiting 40 min for 10 empanadas that they got wrong… and tried to overcharge me… horrible place!!!

The other reviewers weren’t kidding when they said delivery takes 2 – 3 hours.
Food was meh, but I imagine it would have tasted better if it wasn’t cold.
First world problems, I know. But I wouldn’t waste my time/​money on this place.

Horrible delivery service. We waited not just 2 hours but 3 hours and they said they had this wrong delivery and bla bla bla. I don’t recommend it. They are not professional.

My sister and I went here twice while on our one week vacation in NY. We were staying in Brooklyn and after a lot of searching we found this comfy small place in a corner.
The first time we went for lunch, and I had the chicken fajita quesadilla which were delicious! For desert I had a Nutella/​banana empanada… OH MY GOD… No words to describe how amazingly Yummy it was… A must have!
The second time we went here for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast loca, which included two eggs, house potatoes, sausage, bacon, ham and pancakes (you can choose between pancakes or french toast). Except for the pancakes, everything else was really good. The coffee here is also really good.
Prices are affordable. Staff was very attentive and nice. Very comfy/​quiet place if you want to go there and do some computer work.

I was browsing grubhub one afternoon and this place popped up. I decided to order from it. WORST.IDEA.EVER. first off, we ordered and waited for almost TWO HOURS for our food! not cool. we only ordered 4 empanadas and some chips. of course since we waited two hours, everything was cold and soggy which made for a really unappetizing meal. secondly, we paid 3 bucks an empanada for these tiny little things. what the heck.
I called the place 2 times and both times, the person on the phone was not helpful. needless to say, we wont be ordering here again. sorry empanada loca

LOVE empanada loca! So happy it moved into the neighborhood. Huge variety of delicious empanadas (I love the bacon cheeseburger and toro the best) along with traditional breakfast treats. Good price point, wonderful service, two big thumbs up!

I have order take out from them three times and I was never let down (aside from the fries, very dry) today I decided to go in !!! Worse mistake ever !!! Order the Ruben empanada !!! Which is pastrami right ??? Apparently they think ham is the same meat !!! They gave me a ham and cheese, I told the young woman she then made them make me another and same !!! So that was that, even though we were dining in they still gave us wax sheet bags for the empanada ??? Confusing !!! We ordered burgers, mine had avocado (it was black) whom ever cut that and placed it on the burger had to have seen that it was black !!! My partner firstly order a turkey burger which then the woman came out and told us no more turkey !!! So she order a regular burger. She stressed that she doesn’t want any pink !!! Very well done !!!, they are suppose to come with fries and two onion rings ! Her food came out and we cut the burger, lots of pink ! Medium well done it seemed to be ! FRIES WERE COLD AND MAYBE LIKE 15 pieces ! No onion rings and when I asked for ketchup the girl pointed to my partners plate and said its there ! So I’m suppose to dig in her plate and use ketchup ??? New place pretty bad I don’t recommend ! I guess that’s why it was empty

I tried them twice. They made small mistakes with my sister’s sandwich (both times, she got bacon on her sandwich when it clearly doesn’t list it as an ingredient in the GrubHub menu) and the empanadas are small and inconsistant in flavor (and deliciousness sadly). I will say their ‘Merican empanada was delicious and so was the beef wheat empanada (the first time I had one) but ultimately, I’m putting them on my once-​in-​a-​blue-​moon list when I can’t get an empanada from my go-​to spot.

If you get their delicious lemonade– make sure you ask for very little ice or you will quickly run out of delicious drink

This review is for delivery, we ordered from seamless after seeing this new place pop up, it sounded interesting, they had so many empanadas to choose from, but being Latina I decided to go with the originals chicken/​beef. My husband also ordered a sampler platter which came with chicken, steak, fried pork fat, manduros, fries, sausage, I’m sure I’m missing two or three more things, but everything was very tasty, definitely not healthy, but Hispanic cooking isn’t suppose to be. We also ordered the tostones that came with a delicious garlic sauce. The empanadas were okay, reminded me of any empanadas you can get in queens, which has a large Colombia population, usually Puerto Ricans make empanadas differently, so I can always tell which Latin background made them. The delivery was very fast, 20 – 30 minutes which is a plus! Because I hate waiting an hour for food. I will order from them again, maybe not empanadas, I would like to try one of their dishes.

So yum. Food and service are both great. It’s Latin but there is a large variety of food.

This place has an amazing variety of Spanish food. I love their empanadas as well. Service was great and the food was out of this world! I highly recommend this spot!!!

So glad we came to eat here. The food was delicious and the customer service was phenomenal. They are still in the first stages of opening so all menu options aren’t available yet. Our server, George, threw in extra empanadas for the inconvenience. We will definitely return in a month to try more things :)

Ordered a Breakfast Burrito platter and a chicken empanada and when I received my platter I spotted a long piece of hair in my home fries. I told the waitress to take it back and asked just for empanada which she then asked me which one. I told her and then was literally told, «oh I forgot to tell you we don’t have it.» At this point I lost my appetite and just asked to make it two empanadas. The worst part was I didn’t even get an apology or any effort whatsoever to make the situation better. I was seriously thinking the waitress was going to take my dish to the back, pluck the hair out and bring the same dish back! The actually beef empanadas were Ok at best.
